Gross! That is NOT a proper fit. I have 3 cases that look the same way. It's lose. The sole purpose of neoprene is not to have a floppy lose case.

Sorry but I don't agree, there is rubber padding around the edge and it sits very close to this. If the case were any smaller the MacBook would be touching the zip. Once the case is closed the MacBook does not slide around inside.

Just put my dbrand skin on and I must say, what a pain. Took at least half an hour to get it on as perfect as I could. I used to think putting screen protectors on perfectly was a challenge, but a skin for a 13" MacBook Pro but was more of a challenge. It looks pretty nice (went with the black leather option), just have to have some (read "a lot of") patience getting a skin on that big of a surface.

So here we go... after ordering 6 cases from Amazon and other sites, trying on every case Best Buy sells, I have finally found a sleeve that's as close to a perfect fit as one can hope for this early before sleeves are specifically made for the new model.

The Tucano Second Skin Colore (I got the sea blue one). It's specifically the one labeled "For Notebook, Ultrabook, Chromebook 11.6 inch up to 12.5 inch" ... it's as close of a fit as any of the sleeves on the market. While the sleeve is SLIGHTLY too large, the laptop is completely snug inside as it has the corner-holds.

The model number for the blue one is BFC1112-B (I assume the "B" is for blue?). I picked mine up at Fry's Electronics in Palo Alto for $14.99...

Right now this is absolutely the best neoprene\sleeve on the market by a mile for the 13" Macbook Pro. I'll use it until something designed exactly for the laptop comes out, but I'm so happy I went to Fry's today. After getting so many cases for it I was about to give up.

I attached pictures. The fit isn't as lose as it looks in the pics, and of all the fits on the market right now, it's my belief this is the closest to a perfect fit, and Tucano's interior corner-holds prevent any flopping around inside the case.

Have you received yours yet?

Mine actually got delayed. They gave me a shipping number but it never moved and when I emailed their CS they said it was a mistake. So I ended up canceling and going for their clear black one.

Hey guys, just want u to know that i received my Kavaj Sydney leather sleeve for my new 13" TB (which will arrive on friday).
Here are some pics for interested people:
Just an Update: fits good. Just a girly finger fits between the edge

are the sleeves from sfbags.com the only sleeves that are specifically fitted for the 15 mbp touchbar?
seems like it

I agree with you, I have a neoprene sleeve aswell and from what I see from the pictures, if the sleeve was smaller the laptop would touch the zip, because the rubber padding would open.

Just ordered a 13-inch Macbook Pro, any resources for review roundups for cases?

Judging by all the complaints about battery life, a case with a built-in battery would be good. :)

Seriously, are you looking for a hard shell or sleeve? There don't seem to be many of the former available yet.

I have the Pack and Smooch case for my 15 inch and I have this to add:

All in all it's a great case and IMHO, it's the best sleeve on the market right now. I'd say go for it if you have the cash but reviews down the line as to its resilience will be interesting. I will post further thoughts as and when they arise.

WWHG.

Thanks for the review. I ordered this last week after seeing it on this thread and am waiting for it now.

The only problem is no tracking information is available so I don't know when it will arrive. Guess it will be a surprise, but I much prefer to know what day it is being delivered.

A sleeve would be fine, I don't intend on taking it out of the house often but I would like to protect it from bumps and bruises when it's not in use.

If you log in to the pack & smooch website and view your orders, if it's shipped, the tracking number will be in there. If you're in the UK, you can use that number on the Royalmail website.

The same happened to me.. I didn't get a notification that the sleeve was dispatched and checked on the P&S website and tracking number was there.

I quite like the feel of it and the fit to the 13" tMBP is very good. The quality is also great.. very rigid seams. Magnetic clasp is a really nice touch and very easy to open/close. It is expensive for what it is, but its quality workmanship and materials that you pay for.

I'd like to join in with those who've ordered this sleeve :) I'm a wool/felt person so this one didn't need any consideration.
Ordered mine yesterday and it's already sent. No mail from them, but I went to their 'ordered' page and found the tracking number. Sent with DHL but no tracking yet available.

So, in weird turn of events, my ColcaSac finally arrived... 40 days later.. However, I'd advise against doing business with them as I did not have a good experience. After giving it some thought, I decided I'm gonna return the Waterfield Sleevecase (only had it for a week and used it once).

Be careful of ordering from Incase.

They appear to either be overwhelmed or they have just disconnected from thier customers. I placed on order for a MackBook Pro Sleeve on 11/28. According to their website the order has been "sent to the warehouse". I think that is code for we have no idea where your order is. I have sent multiple requests for order status with no response from their support.

What didn't you like about the Waterfield Sleeve Case? Looks like a beautiful sleeve (I've ordered one myself). Does the ColcaSac work better for you somehow? (I'm genuinely interested)

Not only that, they're fraudulently trying to get on the new case/sleeve gravy train by selling their old cases for the 2012 rMBPs as new 2016 tMBP versions of the case. Yes, it'll fit, but a pickle will fit in a barrel. Screw these guys.

Piping in late on this and I know that others have already replied, but thought that I'd pipe in.

I bought this bag for my 12" MB and absolutely love it. It holds more than I expected, while not feeling bulky in the least. I also really like the look. The one exception as you mentioned is the buckle. It seems as if they skimped a bit here as much as they advertise it's design. I don't mind the mechanism that much (though it isn't as easy to close as other designs and has opened unintentionally a few times), but I don't understand why they used plastic except as for cost-cutting. I would have been willing to pay more for a metal (i.e., brass) buckle.

I have a new 15" MBP and would seriously consider buying another bag from sfbags. Unfortunately, I can't get the same one, since it would be odd.
Thank you. Personally I would have preferred the same buckle used for their Cargo Laptop Bag, which is dubbed the Cobra buckle by the folks over at Defy Bags. I've bought one of their Recon Black Canvas 2016 for my sister earlier this year, and she couldn't be happier witht he built and quality. Since it's made to order, they even adjusted the strap length per our requests to match her (lack of) height. I would have definitely choose them again, but since I'm on the move constantly all day, weight reduction is one of my primary goals. Three pounds for a bag might not seem much, but it really does take a toll over time for me anyway.

If you have the 13" MBP with touchbar, you might want to check out the Inateck Surface Pro sleeve. I just received mine and it fits perfectly (for my taste).

I have an Inateck iPad sleeve and love it, so I decided to see what they had in terms of MacBook pro sleeves. First I tried this one that lists compatibility for the 2016 MBP, but it was way too big and floppy. I think they're doing what a lot of companies are doing and just relabeling their old sleeves as also being compatible with the new laptops.

Then I looked more closely at the measurements for each of their sleeves, and the Surface Pro sleeve almost perfectly matched the dimensions listed on the Apple store for my laptop. Since these are so inexpensive I decided to give it a try. It's great! I'm not a huge fan of the velcro, but this will offer style and protection that I'm very happy with until someone makes something truly perfect. You also get a nice little extra bag that will hold the power brick. Not bad for just $18!
