This is the case that I want! I love it, in that color...but I'm worried about the fit because Incase has yet to release the new models adapted for tbMBP (jan-feb 2017) and old models are significantly wider an taller. Please, could you update pics amd share your thoughts? Depending of that, I'buy it or no...

I have the incase slim sleeve. Like it a lot!

@Mortis360 you just beat me to it
I like the fit. It is nice and snug but with enough space around the zipper so you don't scratch the MacBook. I can take pictures tonight (European time)

That sounds good :) and photos would be great. Thank you in advance.
Where did you order it?

Right now I am using my self made sleeve, but if the Incase sleeve fits snug, I would change for it.

Actually I quite like your home made sleeve! I ordered online from the Apple Store but I suppose you could just take your MacBook to the store and try the fit for yourself.

Unfortunately the next apple store is about 1,5 hours away. Could you please post the apple store link of the case you ordered? That would be nice.

Hi guys,

Would any of you recommend a plastic shell case? If not, what are the best alternatives? I've heard stories before of dust getting into cases and causing scratches, so I'd like some advice before making a purchase.

Thanks.

My order just arrived at the local post office. I'll post pictures as soon as I get it unboxed. It's kind of a Christmas present for me.
I am excited to see how it fits :)

The advantage of living in the center of a small country: I can cover the entire country in 1,5 hours :)
And you ordered this 13" sleeve for your 13" or 15" macbook with touchbar?
I keep wondering if these sleeves are specially designed for the late 2016 models with touchbar, because it only says retina macbooks in the description.
Unfortunately there are no outer/inner dimensions given in the description of these incase sleeves.

I'd like to know too.

Finally got my Acme Made case yesterday for the 13" pro.

Fit is great!

Padding, not so much. Definitely offers less corner bump protection than the incase icons. Not sure what to do.

Incase is really scummy trying to trick new buyers into getting their old cases. Even though they technically fit, the fit is extremely loose. On the flip side, they offer very good protection.

Got my first MBPtb today and I was just wondering if a sleeve was enough protection for it? Being a university student, I'll be travelling around with it a lot. I hear that hard cases can trap dust and lead to scratches, plus they ruin the look of the MacBook. I plan on getting an incase sleeve when the new sizes are released hopefully just in time before uni starts up again. Also is a screen protector or keyboard cover necessary? Just trying to properly preserve the beauty for as long as possible. :)

Is Incase really going to try to pawn off the previous versions of their cases as appropriate for the 2016 MBPs?

Yup!
I guess they can use the excuse of "it still fits" but the only honest thing to do would be to say that even though these would, they would have a loose fit. These were made from the prior gen body styles. They even try to allude that these were made for the new macbooks by posting up that inaccurate banner. They also removed from the main page the "Cases for the New MacBook Pro will be coming" message.

I've ordered the Icon Tensaerlite without realizing it's going to be a loose fit for the 2016 MBP. However, what I'm hoping is that when I get a hard shell for the MBP, that extra bulk will fill out the case.

Well, that's the plan anyway…

Hope this helps.

Sleeve is now wrapped inside gift paper unopened so I'll get back with pictures on 25th.
