That case is always open in one side, so no full protection...
I just want something that will keep as many scratches off it when it's in my bag and when carrying it around to meetings. Having one side open is a lot less to worry about then no case. IMO this has to be one of the best looking cases on the market right now.
Having said that they do have other cases that have a zip on that side. So if anyone is thinking about this but not sure they do have others that will provide 'full protection'.

Anyone have problems with Pack and Smooch shipping to the US? I ordered mine and it shipped 11/29, but neither the Deutchepost nor the USPS tracking number says it's left Germany yet, and I'm past the 15 business days of shipping.
Yes. I ordered 11/28 via Amazon. When there was no change in shipping status last week, I contacted Pack and Smooch through its website. Got a quick response with assurances that a replacement was being sent (with new USPS tracking #). We'll see.

Thank you for the tip! Ordered this

Where do you enter the code for the discount?

I ordered an Amazon Basics sleeve for $11. It won't be flashy, but I'm hoping it fits. That'll be my secondary option, since I also bought an Incase Icon backpack that'll hopefully be my main "case." I'm just hoping it fits my rather large headphones and camera along with my charger and external HDD.

Got this sleeve (Amazon Basics sleeve for 15"-15.4" laptops) for Christmas. It's a tad too big. Slides around just a bit with a couple of inches of clearance on either side. I'm not too worried though, as I mainly want to protect against scratches when I lug the laptop around in my backpack.

Not surprised really, but yeah, I'm only going to use the sleeve when I don't use my new backpack. Tough to beat for the price even if it's not perfect.

Same here. I have contacted them several times and they assure me it has left Germany, but no update on USPS. They have not received it. It should have arrived by now.

I will try to contact one last time.

Strange, I get updates on my end. And I'm able to track with my local postal carrier. Considering how I ordered mine on the 15th of December. You may want to check with Deutsche Post?

I must note here that I live in Singapore, which I reckon is further than it is from the US.

PS: Mine is due to be delivered today.

That's a really nice sleeve by Harber...May have to consider that as well.

I think Mosiso had problems with defective units. I've returned mine and received an iBlason case yesterday which fits like a glove. I like that it offers some rear protection, not a lot but better than none.

Are you happy with the i-Blason case? I'm debating on purchasing this or a sleeve.

These type cases provide limited impact protection such as if the unit is dropped, but they do a great job of preventing inadvertent dings and dents. I'm very happy with this case for that purpose. I got the blue one. :)

Looking for a recommendation of a simple sleeve that will protect my Macbook Pro. I won't be taking it out of the house so it doesn't need to have a strap or mimic a briefcase and have a bunch of pockets. I'm liking the look of Waterfield Designs' Maxwell sleeve as it seems to strike a happy medium between simplicity and protection but $119 is a bit of a tough pill to swallow. Any suggestions for similar bags?

I'm in the same boat. Ordered on 11/30, but there is still no info on the package location via USPS tracking. I've emailed them a few times, and they've opened an investigation with German Post. No indication that they've found anything.

I have to recognize I was wrong with Incase...After seeing some pics in this forum of its Slim Sleeve model & MBPtb combination I decided to try it, and now I coudn't be happier. My model is the 13" version and fits the laptop . As you can see in the pics attached, the case has almost the same dimensions of the MBPtb, and only leaves minimal space. This space gives some bonus, first it adds some cushioning around corners maximizing the protection and second, the most important for me, it leaves just enough room for avoiding possible scratches with the zipper.
So now, my message is clear. After trying lots of cases for the new MBP with TB I highly recommend this to anyone looking for the best protection, fit and modern design!
In fact, if Incase update the case for the new model, with near zero empty space, I doubt it would be better, and maybe being able to choose between both, I would pick the current model because of the added bonus already mentioned:)

Finally got my i-Blazon hard shell case today for my 15" Space Gray. I was apprehensive because I bought it from Amazon when they first put it on the store and it had zero reviews. Took forever to get here.

I must say, I'm surprised at the quality. It arrived in a very nice box. The case itself is a very nice quality plastic. It's a bit thick, but doesn't feel brittle at all. I've had Speck cases that have cracked and fallen apart after not very long. It's a nice soft touch plastic and has a bit of flex to it so it is easier to take on and off. The bottom case has rubberized feet so that provides quite a bit of grip.

All ports are accessible and there are ventilation holes on the bottom.

There's also no massive logos on the lid like other options. There is a small logo in the bottom corner but it is hard to notice.

Overall very happy. Half the price of a similar Speck case.

The case took FOREVER to get here as I purchased it directly from the seller and they shipped it via painfully slow DHL (Shipped on Nov 22, arrived here today). HOWEVER, I see now that the product is now shipping from Amazon directly, so that's great, especially if you have Prime.

Pretty happy with the i-Blason I put on my 15" as well (which kind of surprised me as I'm not usually a big fan of shells).

That probably means the MBP with the I-Blason case will not fit inside it huh?

Any suggestions for a decent case or sleeve that fits perfectly with the hard case on it?

Glad I'm not the only one. Ordered 11/28 and after three weeks had not received it. Only received an error when I tried to track through their website (with DHL). Contacted them a couple weeks ago and they sent a replacement, but still have not received. They opened up a claim with USPS (got a letter from USPS asking me to confirm I never received the package).

Happy with Pack & Smooch's customer service so far, so I am giving them the benefit of the doubt. There may be an issue with these getting cleared through customs. Probably backed up on the holidays (just a guess though). I guess I will just wait a couple more weeks and see what happens (I'm in Hawaii).

On a kind of related note, I order a lot of items and this year has been worse than most. Counting this issue, I have had three other packages lost in the mail and spent a lot of time trying to get my items (from different companies). So I may be more willing to wait a bit.

*Edit* Just entered both my tracking numbers manually through Deutsche Post website and got the following message: The item was handed over to the International Logistics Center Frankfurt on Dec 22, 2016 to be forwarded to United States of America. Further tracking information is also provided by the website of the country of destination.

So it looks like my earlier thought may be correct and the packages are stuck in customs. I get special alerts through USPS for all packages shipped to my house, and nothing has appeared yet.

FWIW my replacement

Tracking my replacement shows it Dec. 28th at ISC New York, NY (USPS). Hurrah! Meanwhile the original is still "preparing for shipment" in Frankfurt. Thanks to Clemens at Pack & Smooch customer service. contact@pack-smooch.com

Another happy receiver of the I-Blason case. After the shipping nightmare occurred they actually refunded my money and still sent the case. It fits like a glove and I love the soft touch the case has.

Hello everyone,

I'm still looking for a nice 15" MacBook Pro 2016 sleeve.. (€20-€80, for protection inside a regular backpack) I almost ordered one for the 2015 model until I realised that the dimensions are different. Is there some kind of summary or list of sleeves that fit nicely on the new MacBook Pro "15? I read some positive things about the Incase 13" sleeve? Is this the same for the 15"?

Thanks!

Update on my P&S order -- I too was shipped a second one. I'm happy to hear yours cleared customs and made it to NY quickly. It seems like Germany Customs / Deutche Post kind of screwed them over. It just went out yesterday so we'll see how quickly it gets to the states.

Just placed an order, is it easy to remove to clean as well?

Fairly easy, just snaps off. It fits nice and snug though so takes a teeny bit of oomph to unsnap but nothing crazy. I unsnapped mine today because I had the top portion on upside down. Not a huge issue at all and the case feels nice when you carry it.
