Going to have to pick up a sleeve before I fly out to California...Hoping the Apple Store has some options, since I have a $50 gift card.

Came across this nice-looking Tomtoc sleeve on Amazon for my 13" Macbook pro and I think it's the one I'm gonna nab.

I actually like the look of the AmazonBasic sleeve as well more but the Tomtoc sleeve has a magnetic closure instead of the Amazon sleeve's velcro.

Can someone give me a quick rundown on tasteful 13" MBP sleeves?

Ive seen some of the leather ones, but also interested in ballistic material or similar. A pocket/pouch for cables/adapters would be nice as well.

Looking for really tasteful ones, not industrial/speck/incase'ish

thanks!

No experience with either of those but the SF Bags case looks like it meets your criteria:
https://www.sfbags.com/collections/...ves/products/macbook-sleevecase#product-tabs4

I have this sleeve case for my iPad Pro 9.7 and it is extremely well made and protective. Strap can be purchased separately. I just received their Staad Attache for my 2016 15" MacBook Pro and that is perfect for my needs. It has lots of room for the power brick and cord plus other items. It would be great for business, school or travel.

So, just to confirm. Apple stores have no sleeves designed specifically for the new MBPs correct?

And we're still waiting to see what Incase decides to do?

Pictures or quick video review? Been looking at both of those options.

sfbags.com has pictures, videos and reviews for both. Much better than I could do. :) They come with 3 leather choices with either waxed canvas or black ballistic case. I'm very happy with both items. I chose the waxed canvas with grizzly leather for both.

One of the reviews says it's a pretty tight fit, but it's cheap! Black is tasteful, too.

So I ordered the Pack & Smooch w touch bar and I haven't even made a decision yet which model I'm keeping. If the 2016 coming next week works well I'm going to keep the 2016. The case has already shipped.

Harber London also sent me a 20% off coupon so that is still an option as well.

I personally use the Acme-Made Skinny Sleeve. Thus far its the only sleeve that gives the 2016 MacBook Pro a secure tight fit. its 12.9 inches vs 13 Inch sleeves so not fully secure the 2016 MacBook Pro and you can feel it sliding around. I snapped a few photos for the forum.

I also spent lots of time to search a sleeve with a pocket for adapters, and I came across this one,

I am now waiting for it to be available, the small pouch seems very larger to hold adapter, cables, hub and so on

I just wanted to leave a comment throw in more praise for the iBlasion case people here are linking to on Amazon. Bought it reluctantly but it turns out it fits great and the logo is so much more subtle in person, and this laptop is so light and thin that this case makes it feel more substantial and secure.

Joli Originals

I use them for macbooks and iPads. Expensive, but extremely good quality, hand made to order. And in the Netherlands (I have them shipped over to the UK)

https://jolioriginals.com
This was probably my first choice, I emailed them asking if they could provide a 10 15 or 20% coupon for a first time buyer and they basically said the leather is too expensive they don't offer coupons kinda odd because Harber London offered me a 20% first time order coupon code and theirs is leather too.

All the Joli cases are made by them, just 2 of them making every order. In comparison to the Harber London that are being made by a group of people in a workshop in Spain.

Either they're buying larger bulk stocks and getting better prices, or Joli don't want to discount, as it's a decent chunk of money gone, when there is only 2 of them to hand make every order.

These type cases provide limited impact protection such as if the unit is dropped, but they do a great job of preventing inadvertent dings and dents. I'm very happy with this case for that purpose. I got the blue one. :)

I've been searching for a slim form-fitting sleeve for my new MacBook Pro for the past few months now, and just come across the Harber London sleeve. I see you purchased the blue leather one... would you be able to post photos of it under different lighting conditions as that is also the one I'm interested in getting? Also, how is it holding up since you started using it?

Thanks.

I purchased a iBlason blue plastic cover and am happy with it although I've not put it through much wearvand tear.
