I suggest NovoTech is the best Macbook Pro Case. It would be difficult for onlookers to take their eyes off this rubberized hard shell case. Its material gives an unbreakable quality to the case. Your MacBook Pro 15-inch is quite secure in this NovoTech case. You can buy from amazon.

at last we got the incase new sleeves for the 2016 mbp in my country.Ordered the 15" ICON

So do you like it? Keeping it? Worth the price?

(My review & thoughts: #4222#4223 / My later decision: #4225.)
Well i cant make a decision right now because i sent my macbook for a replacement.I tought i get the new one this week but apple pushed my date to may 7-8 so i am not sure if i cancel the replacement, send the case back and get a refund.

If I carry around my 13inch MBP,I usually do it in a compartment of my thinktank camera backpack, usually wrapped in a soft towel for extra protection.

Any good options for those in Canada..? I would've liked the Icon but can't get it here unfortunately...

Hi there

Anyone know if there are ultra thin covers/ cases for the new MacBook Pro's (13'')?

I'm looking for something like the super thin plastic wrap that is on the MBP when you unbox it but made of cloth fabric or so.

Not looking for cases with zippers but just something really thin when putting it in a bag or elsewhere to avoid scratches.

I got a cheap felt sleeve from eBay which sounds like it may do the job. They have a few styles with or without zippers. It's not as thin as the plastic wrap you mentioned, but less than 1cm thick, quite protective and custom fit for your laptop.

If that's no good, then how about getting a large piece of microfibre cloth and making your own?

Thought I'd upload pictures of my newly received Vaja case for the 15" MacBook Pro.
Quality is TOP notch as always.
Let me know what you think..

Nice pix. Personally I prefer my MBP light and thus bare, but then in decent sleeve+bag for protection whilst on the move. But each to their own, of course. ;-)

Very true.
I've actually realized that it's become slightly heavier, still very light however.
Also, I'm pretty OCD about moving it around with a case. It didn't leave my desk for the whole month it didn't have a case apart from the times I had to take it to the Apple Store but now it can move around the house freely!

Blimey, 171 pages???

Any consensus on the best sleeve for the 13" 2016 MBP

My needs:
  • Perfect fit
  • Slimline
  • Small external pocket for pen/small notepad
  • Zipless or protected zip (i.e. zip doesn't rub against the laptop)

IMO, they look the best and are quality. They did a discount code a few months ago, but I can't remember it although it's probably in this thread somewhere.

Is there any discount code for BestSkinsEver.com?
I never found a code myself and even reached out directly to them several times with no response. Ending up buying the matte top/bottom and won't ever complain - it really is the best stuff out there. My advice is to pay the price and take the time to get it installed correctly.

Any particular reason why you chose not to do the full body coverage, with bits and pieces for the wrist rest area etc.?

How is the material, does it seem like its removable without traces & residue?

Trying to convince myself to go ahead and purchase a set of this instead of a generic set of "carbon fiber" 3M skins.

I actually did purchase the full body, mainly to wrap the sides/corners, but haven't ended up putting it on. I've never had any issues with wear and tear on the wrist rest or trackpad on a dozen previous MBPs so knew I would not put it on those areas and truthfully don't see any reason to cover the Touch Bar.

The material is excellent and definitely will not leave any traces or residue. It can certainly be peeled it off without any issue.

Honestly the hardest part is application. BSE cuts these things soooooo damn close to a perfect fit that it becomes a blessing and a curse. You definitely appreciate that 99.9% coverage AFTER you've got in on but during I seem to continually find myself wondering why they couldn't just leave it at 99%. You just have to keep gently checking the edges and especially the corners to make sure there is absolutely no overlap. If anything is hanging over the edge you will for sure end up hating it because once an edge or corner is catching and collection dust and pulling back there is no coming back from that.

Once I got it on and aligned I left the machine untouched for about 12 hours to make sure it adhered properly. Even after that period there were definitely a few small areas that weren't perfect and I was extremely unhappy because I hadn't noticed them during application. They weren't large air bubbles or anything but after the amount of times I removed and reapplied I assumed that I somehow messed up the tactility of the material. After another 18-24 hours though everything looked super even and dare I say almost perfect.

If you aren't specifically looking for it you can't tell I have anything on this whatsoever and for me that was the entire point of using BSE vs a 3M solution. This MBP is so badass looking I just don't understand why anyone wouldn't want to showcase it as close to naked as possible but thats just my thinking. Hope it helps you make a slightly more informed decision and good luck with the application. Be patient. Take your time. Be OCD as hell - it's worth it.
