Hi everyone, just wondering if your hard shell cases is preventing your MBP from ever slightly closing perfectly flush? I've noticed this on two of the hard shell cases ive tried - there's a tiny gap thats inevitable because of the clips on the bottom case.

A related comment about this:
I was a fan of hard shells. With all these problems.
And then I discovered 'skins'.
Yes, these are the most gentle approach for some kind of protection for the mbp.

I usually apply a skin just to keep the hardshell from rubbing on things.

I got my Waterfield sleevecase for the MacBook Pro 14" a couple weekends ago and I love it. It's worth the price to me for how well it's made, the materials used, and the protection it offers. I got the vertical sleeve, which is easier to use in a backpack than the traditional horizontal ones.
How tight was the fit? I bought two in the 14" size in two separate occasions and so far both have been way too tight of a fit. I felt uncomfortable using them.

Sure ...

Not really concerned about the open side. I'll only be using it when I travel and it's unlikely to get scratched while in my backpack. I suppose never say never but it is unlikely.
I don't know why but I bought two of those on two separate occasions and they are super super tight.

I emailed WF and they just act like they don't care and and to send back for a refund. Basically lost shipping cost four times having to send these back. I guess they just lost a customer.

This is a picture of the sleeve literally holding the MacBook upside down from how tight it fits.

This MacBook Pro 14" sleeve from Crazy Horse Craft is outstanding! Far exceeded my expectations and the quality of the leather is fantastic. I was so fed up with the Amazon cases which either had poor fit or were ridiculously bulky!

Does anyone recommend the Tech21 Evo over the Incase dot?

It is worth the additional cost?

None of the stores have stock and there isn't very many videos online so would appreciate some feedback.

Thanks

Very classy, I like it. Im still debating between an air and a pro but I really like this sleeve case.

Are there any decent alternatives to the Native Union Slim Stow cases for the 2021+ MBP 16"? That was a fantastic case or my 13" MBP: magnetic closure so fast to open and no zipper to scratch the computer, great protection, and an opening on the short end, which is better for backpack use or if you need to charge the computer while it's in the case. I was quite surprised to discover that this case isn't available for the newer MBP.

Sorry. Yes. That's the only one.

But I'm looking for a sleeve and not a hard case... Looks like there are not many 14" and 16" sleeves on the market. Or I didn't find them.
Woolnut make some really nice sleeves.

This came in over the weekend. Couldn’t wait for Moshi’s case so I bought the GhostShell Frost Matte from Uppercase. Definitely not top heavy, but like all of the other hard shell cases, it don’t close all the way because of clips. We’ll see how long this last.
