I would not want the power pack against the side of the laptop. That just does not seem safe to me.

What you want is a backpack.

I'm using Wrapsol full body film protectors, Incase rMBP designed neoprene sleeve (only at Apple retail & online stores), Incipio frost colored feather case, and a Case Logic 14" backpack.

I have trawled through a lot of this thread and plenty of others, but I must ask.

Of all the bags available which can fit my 13 Macbook which would you recommend? Leather preferable.

Since I haven't really found much about the Herschel Supply Co. sleeves on their website or pretty much anywhere else online, I figured I'd take some detailed photos and give my insight on the sleeve. They are only available at Apple Stores and can not be purchased online. I'm a big fan of the aesthetic that Herschel brings to the table with their retro-modern design and was stoked to see that that the Apple Store carried their products.

There are 3 models available exclusive to the Apple Stores and come in three sizes starting with 11" for the MBA, 13" for MBA/cMBP/rMBP and 15" for the cMBP/rMBP. I decided to go with the 'Seymour' for my 13" rMBP. The packaging says that it is meant to fit the 13" MacBook Air and MacBook Pro models. It fits my rMBP perfect.

The outer has grain brown leather on the bottom with a white Herschel Supply Co. patch sewn on. The upper part of the sleeve is a black cordura material and seems very durable with a large black plastic zipper. The case is padded very well. The inside is lined with a black fleece material that feels almost like velvet... super soft. It has the signature white/red stripe lining near the sipper along with the 'Welcome To Herschel' tag that is seen on most of their products.

Overall it's a great sleeve. The retail price was $69.99 which seems a bit steep but when you actually check the product out and feel how well it's made with the attention to detail that the company is known for, the price is a no brainer.

[/COLOR]The Herschel ones look really good, is the laptop safe from the zipper?

Those Hardgraft cases are awesome. Been considering one of those for a while but I really love the Herschel.

Yeah, that red/white striped liner blocks the zipper from touching the laptop. Also the zipper is plastic so it wouldn't be able to scratch the aluminum anyway. Heres a pic:

It can be purchased online and its cheaper than at the Apple store as well!

They don't carry the model that I reviewed above on their site. There are two other models that you can only get at Apple Stores although the ones on their site are definitely cheaper. I'd like to compare them side by side and see if there are any differences. Here's the link on their site about the Apple exclusives: http://herschelsupply.com/news/apple-laptopsleeves/

Finally found "the one"

Since I got my MacBook Air a couple weeks ago, I've been looking for that perfect bag that would fit my MBA and iPad in the same bag without a hitch, and also all of my other gadgets and tools being a computer tech. You don't know how many suggested bags I have bought and returned in my search, and I thought I'd never find that one bag that made me happy.

Well after a lot of searching I have found the one. The quality of this bag beats out the $70+ priced bags, and isn't bulky at all which was important to me. This bag is priced at $35 and is made to last. You can actually feel the quality when you take it out of the package. The zippers are nice and smooth, and unlike most backpacks don't feel like they are going to get stuck every time you use them. Also, the styling of this backpack is unique, and I get compliments all the time about this back.

The link is below, and if anyone gets this bag just let me know what you think of it as well. I'm sure you will enjoy it just as much as me.

Yes. I've had it for a week now. I love it. I really can't add to the great review you did other than to say it exceeded my expectations.

Hey guys,

I had a bad experience with the Moshi iGlaze 15" (tried several) and I'm on the market for another hard shell. For the people who own one, what do you have to say? Which one should I buy? I'm asking this to people who own one specifically because the reviews on the Moshi are great but the product sucks.

Thanks

Arnezie, what do you think of this case? Anybody know about this one?

I think it's very well-made and it's perfect for what I need for, doesn't offer a ton of protection but that's what my backpack is for. But I like mine it works great
