For those who need a hardcase for the new late 2013 macbook retina 13 inch, look no more!

I took the gamble and purchased the kuzy hardcase on amazon that came out a few days ago. Got the case nextday shipped and it fits, looks, and feels wonderful. Don't know how reliable it is mid or long term but with nothing out yet I'm pretty pleased.

http://www.amazon.com/Kuzy-13-Inch-...qid=1382794223&sr=8-1&keywords=kuzy+retina+13

looks good.... any other hard cases besides kuzy? I looked on ebay but not feeling it and not sure if they will fit the newest mbp 13... also it seem most of them doesn't protect the sidewall the way to the earphone jack (just the corners)

Anyone know of a good sleeve for the 15" rMBP that does NOT have any zips? I got the InCase Neoprene sleeve yesterday but I can hear it scrape on the zips as I slide the machine in.

Just in case anyone else was interested in this, I found a very nice sleeve at the Apple store without any zips. The Acme Made San Francisco Skinny sleeve - seen here.

Hi, i had sent an email to Speck:

"I bought new MacBook Pro Retina that is thinner than the previous model. The SeeThru Satin Cover fits well it or i must wait an update?"

and they respond me:

"Thank you for asking. The cases we have for the Macbook Pro Retina 13” do fit the new 2013 model as well!"

What do you think, can we buy them?

i'll never buy another clip-on case again, I had a speck one for my 15" retina last year and dust got trapped between the laptop and the case and ended up scratching it, also the clip tabs on the bottom snapped off, they're not built to last at all!

sleeves all the way for me with my new has well 15"!

Hi,

Could anyone help, I'm looking to buy a stylish laptop sleeve for the new 13' retina macbook pro.

Probably going to buy one from Herschel Supply. But I was wondering if someone knows any other nice stylish laptop sleeves? (Herschel, Obey, Supreme Being)

Also should I look for a sleeve specifically for a retina macbook? Will a standard 13' sleeve be too big for the slim retina macbook?

Regards

It all depends on a sleeve design, and personal preference. Some people like some extra room inside the sleeve while others prefer a rather snug fit.

Our MacBook Pro Retina 13" sleeves are slightly smaller than the MacBook Air 13" ones as we decided the size difference made the laptop uncomfortably loose inside.

Have a 15" retina.

Any ideas? 70$ is my limit

I actually ordered the 13" Macbook Air sleeve for my new 13" rMBP (someone in the comments said it fit just fine) since I like the design better than the sleeve they make for the rMBP.

Did you get the vertical or the horizontal sleeve? Can you report back on the fit?

I'm really interested in the vertical sleeve, just a bit worried that it may be too snug. (At the same time, don't want to go with the rMBP model and have it too loose.)

Now you know what many people already know: take your laptop out once in a while and clean it.

Also, which case broke? You might have found that some companies take warranty repair very seriously and replace their products.

I am looking for a case for the 15inch Retina.

There's obviously a few choices: Speck, Incase, Kuzy, Moshi, Incipio, and Getuncommon. There may be more.

I have been reading reviews and while speck and incase are the most well known and popular, I have read plenty of negative reviews of their macbook cases. Apparently there are problems with the case scratching the computer, dust getting trapped, the case not fitting properly, the clips breaking, the case bending, and all kinds of good stuff.

Kuzy and Moshi also have terrible reviews with similar problems. Incipio's feather case seemed good and they had good reviews on their website but they are getting destroyed in Amazon reviews.

Getuncommon's deflector case is fairly unknown but it seems good according to youtube videos. There aren't any reviews out for it on Amazon or their website so if you guys have experience with it let me know.

I am looking for an easy to attach (and remove) case that is very sleek and thin without any headaches or problems with dust, scratches, and fitting.

Is there a perfect case out there?

I went with the horizontal sleeve and will definitely report back on the fit. It should arrive tomorrow but my rMBP won't arrive until Wednesday. I chose the horizontal over the vertical because I had the vertical for my 2010 MBA and I found it annoying to have to remove it from the side (but I'm super OCD about this kind of stuff.) :)

FYI - Rickshaw Bags is a great company and they've been very flexible in the past with exchanges. I received a custom-made messenger bag from them last year and they let me exchange it for a larger version, no questions asked. If you go with the vertical and it doesn't fit, I'm sure they would exchange it for you. (But I think it will fit.) :)

I've always used a skin on the top of mine and after 3 years it still looks awesome. I'll be buying the same for my new rMBP

I use a case I got from Amazon for less than £5 and it's awesome. It's a snug fit, doesn't slide around the car seat, it's thick enough to protect from a drop and the zips are well out of the way of the laptop. The stitches are not perfect, but it's not going to fall apart after a month and it's barely noticeable.

I needed a good backpack for an upcoming 2 week trip I have to the east coast. I've been looking around forever and I think I finally found the near-perfect bag:
http://shop.lululemon.com/products/...Backpack?cc=0001&skuId=3506559&catId=men-bags
It has a ton of pockets and a great compartment for my new 13" rMBP AND iPad. I've only used it for a few days, but I already love it. Comfortable, good looking, roomy, and well-organized. And for a Lululemon product, I actually think it's very reasonably priced. I'll know more about how well it works after my trip, but I'm already looking forward to using/abusing it.

Incase responded to me saying that it's too soon to know if they will redesign their neoprene sleeve for the new rMBP 13" but to keep an eye on their website.
