Picked up a Swiss Gear 13" slim bag for my new rMBP. A little more "roomy" than I might have wished for, but it is in hand and able to also carry the cables etc when needed.

Extremely tempted to get a Picaso sleeve for this too. Anybody have issues with fit of the v2 on the late 2013 13 with this sleeve?

If anybody is interested, I emailed Moshi to ask if their iGlaze fits te new 13" rMBP.

Hi,

Thank you for your interest in Moshi's products. Our current iGlaze for Retina MacBook Pro 13" has been determined by our production team to be compatible for use with the new late-2013 model MacBook Pro Retina 13".

Please let us know if you have any other questions. We're here to help.

Best regards,

Will take the plunge and order one tonight.

How is that possible though? The new 13'' is .04 inches smaller..

I don't see how that would fit perfectly.

Checked out their website. Those cases look pretty amazing and I'm definitely considering one of them.

My 2013 13in retina mbp arrives in about two days so I'm perusing through this thread for a nice sleeve. I'm mostly concerned with protection (scuffs, scratches, bumps, shaking/shock protection). As of right now I'm also looking at the following:
1. Burnoaa's memory foam sleeve

2. Concrete Cases double padded sleeve

3. Twelve South's BookBook

4. Tom Bihn's horizontal Brain Cell

Can anyone offer any advice or perspective on this? They all seem like great sleeves, but I would prefer to spend as little as I can. However, value is even more important to me, so if a more expensive sleeve/case offers significantly more protection, then it has justified its price and I'll definitely consider it.

Any reason why you prefer the Pop Quiz over the Settlement?

Superior functional front pocket - The Settlement plus is a great bag as well. Buy on amazon as well if you can.

Heritage plus has top (fleece lined), side and front pockets as well.

I may as well wait for a few weeks to see what kind of sleeve I want to go for. Haven't really came across one that has made me want to get it there and then. Hmm

My boss got me and my colleagues all new rMBP's on Friday. Really impressive machine, makes me almost dislike the screen of my MacBook Air. Just like with my MBA I got a grey/red Joli originals sleeve. Got it in today, very happy with it! Now I'm looking for a backpack or messenger bag, still doubting what is nicer with a 15" rMBP, any recommendations?

Thanks for the tip, just picked up a Pop Quiz!

Can you tell me the model of Speck Cover you bought for late 2013 MacBook Pro Retina 13"?
I ask because I read a bad review: http://store.apple.com/us/question/...o-retina-13-late-2013-model/QHYJJY7F2KKCPPTXD

If anyone else has bought a Speck Cover can tell me the model, thanks.
I am interested for SeeThru Satin Model.

Thanks

I bought that model. For me, I think it fits fine. It's not loose like its gonna fall off all the time, just easier to remove if I need to clean it.

yeah, my thoughts exactly.
but thinking if the speck shell fits on the new 13" rBBP, the moshi could fit too.

and if it doesn't i can still return it...

I have the Burnoaa on my 15 and my son has the BookBook on his 13. I prefer the Burnoaa it is super soft and you can type with it still in the case. Actually both of these cases allow that. This was a priority for me as I don't want to have to drag my everything out for quick access. My Burnoaa has a side pouch for storing cables, Perfection for me.
However my son loves the Bookbook, he loves the style and the look. However it has less padding then the Burnoaa.
One issue you may fret over is that the exhaust ports are blocked while using the MBP "In Case". But it hasn't been an issue for my, never has the MBP shutdown due to heat.
Oh and the Burnoaa take nine days to arrive, be advised.

Hi,

I'm planning to buy a Mac for the first time.
I'm going for the new rMBP 13' model with 256 SSD.

But since the retina's are much slimmer than the standard 13' laptop I was wondering if it woudn't be too loose in a 13' sleeve.

I'm planning to get a Herschel sleeve for a 13' model,
does anyone have experience with this sleeve combined with a retina macbook? The current model / the older one, doesn't matter.

Regards
