I cant see any option for rMBP in colcasac website, only retina option there is for 15inc ?
http://www.colcasac.com/macbook-sleeve/

Yea I have asked the customer service for dimensions and MBA seems better :)
I want to buy one but it says its going to be 45+30 with shipping to Toronto :/ Any other place I can find it cheaper ? :(
Ack, you're right. For some reason, I didn't notice that it didn't say "Retina" next to it. Sigh. I hope it fits well, I'm getting tired of looking. :(

Just saw Hammm's post...looks like his fits pretty well.

...and now I just noticed he ordered the 13" MBA size. Gaaah....where's the rip-your-hair-out smiley?

Im not giving more than 50$, I hope i can able to find it somewher on ebay or amazon. otherwise i will continue using my baggu sleeve or order a waterfield ;)

Hello all. I haven't been traveling much, so I put off my purchase of a new briefcase for over a year. (I've had an rMBP since July 2012.)

I'm still leaning toward the Booq Cobra Brief, but I haven't done any recent searching for newer products. Are there any other briefcases of similar size, style, and quality that I should consider?

Thanks in advance for all feedback.

What sleeves are there BESIDES the incase deluxe sleeve that offer a compartment for an ipad?

First post here, been reading the forum for a while, lots of great info!

Just purchased a rmbp and picked up a incase neoprene sleeve for it, fits ok but a bit baggy for my liking as it also fits my old 2006 macbook fine. Looking for a retina specific case. So far i've narrowed it down (with help from this thread) to:

Incase Terra
Colcasac black
Booq Mamba

Which would people say suits the rmbp best?

Hard case, thin profile

I'm looking for a nice hard sleeve-like case with a thin profile that I can put my macbook pro 15 retina in and just put the whole thing in my briefcase. There seems to be plenty of neoprene material sleeves, but I'm looking for a more rigid case. Doesn't have to be fancy. Also, there needs to be some protection between the inside of the zipper and the macbook pro so that the zipper doesn't scratch the laptop. The only one that I found that may work is Thule.

Any recommendations?

As a first time Macbook owner, can someone explain to me why there seems to be more sleeves than actual cases for the Macbook?

A sleeve is just something to put the Macbook in when you're not using it, correct? Wouldn't being able to use it and protect be more useful?

Is there something I'm missing?

The Cote & Ciel sleeves for the 13" and 15" rMBP are terrific. Great fit and very stylish.

Sleeves protect while in transit, or more specifically, when it's not being used.

Cases stay on and adds bulk, weight, and turns a beautiful design ugly.

I like sleeves because they still allow me to use any generic bag. I use different bags depending how much I want to carry. Sometimes, I might need to carry clothes or camera equipment, files whatever. The size of my rMBP 13 means that even with a sleeve, it fits in most generic bag dividers made for 13" laptops.

I picked this felt sleeve up for less than $10 US.

Managed to bag the last Booq Mamba black sleeve on amazon uk for £32. It turned up today, really really impressed. The inside is super soft, fits perfectly keeping the laptop slim but has good padding. Highly recommended

Yeah, ordered from Taobao, free shipping, arrived the next day to my office.

Accessories are plentiful and inexpensive here. Still, i wouldn't mind American or Hong Kong prices for Apple gear.
