I've been looking on amazon.com at cases. Has anyone dealt with Kuzy cases. I looked at the speck cases and I honestly don't want to drop 50 dollars for a case because I want to also get a screen protector. Any ideas?

Hi everyone.

So, after getting the new Haswell 15'' retina macbook pro, it's time to get a real safe case to protect my boy :p

I'm in love with the Thule Gauntlet 2.0 Sleeve. It seems to be the most protective case in the market. But, I've read some reviews and the owners said retina macbook pro's doesn't fit snug and the laptop has about a 1/2 inch to move on all sides.

I ask you, possible owners of this case to give your feedback and if possible, put some photos to elucidate me.
The velcro strap hold firmly the macbook pro?

Just ordered a sleeve for my shiny new rMBP 13" from Wrappers (http://wrappers.typepad.com/ipod/apple-macbook-pro-retina/) - the Alcantara version.

Was always a fan of SFbags when I lived in the US - but now I'm living in the UK going to give this company a shot. Less hassle with shipping (and customs) and if something goes wrong much easier to fix.

Handful of reviews around on the web and seem to be mostly positive.

Will report back when it arrives :)

Bought a blue canvas shoulder-bag for my 15" rMBP from Incase. Fits perfectly, not an inch of wasted space and a layer of foam around all the edges to protect from impact.

Just received the "Thule Gauntlet 13" MacBook Pro Sleeve Black" and despite saying for Retina Mac Book Pro it slides around far too much for my liking. Any alternatives which are similar but sung on a rMBP?

Received a beautiful picasso labs leather case for Christmas, but unfortunately it is both the wrong size and has someone elses name engraved in it.

If you last name is singh and and have a 13 mac book, I suspect you have a similar issue.

Booq Cobra Brief discontinued??

Just got a 15" MBPr and started buying it some cases / bags... I like Booq products, got the Booq Viper hard case and the viper courier. LOVE the viper courier but it's too small for a travel professional bag. This made me consider the Booq Cobra brief but it just went from $255 to "Discontinued" on the Booq webpage :(

Does anyone have other good recommendations for a mens professional (I'm a management consultant and deal with C level executives) bag for a 15" MBPr? I don't feel like backpacks are professional enough to go with a suit and prefer not to go with a messenger bag. Something stylish and not very traditional would be best in terms of looks but function is more important.

What color did you choose? Cannot see it in the link you provided.

Isnt the case too tight? It was made for the mba13

Thanks!

Kenneth Cole makes some very nice leather bags that would fit a professional environment.

I chose the coffee brown colour.

The pictures you uploaded on flickr look dark grey to me, not coffee brown. Are you sure about it? I love the colour on your flickr pics but not the coffee brown on amazon pics
Thanks!

I'm very sure. The cool white 6500k LED down lighters have skewed the colour.

Dear all,

The weather has been terrible here during the holidays, allowing me to read just about every post in this thread. It has given me some wonderful new ideas for cases and sleeves for my new 13" rMBP.
I'm a bit disappointed that many brands still have the compatible with both MBA and (r)MBP sleeves because I prefer a rigid sleeve that is a true snug fit.

I have always liked Booq products, and read much about the Booq Viper case in this thread, but I am above all interested in the Viper case, a case that I know and love from a previous 15" MBP. Unfortunately this is another fits both MBA and (r)MBP case. Does anyone have experience with the 13" Booq Viper case and the fit for the new small rMBP?

Thanks for sharing!

Review Booq Viper Sleeve

This is, for me, the perfect protection for my retina Macbook Pro. I'm using a shoulder bag for carrying my computer around. Because of the opening being where it is on the Viper sleeve and the fact that there is no zipper. This Sleeve is perfect for me. I don't have to take out the sleeve whenever i need my computer. This way i can pick up my computer with one hand which makes it easier and faster.

The bulk around the side and on the surface on the sleeve makes great protection. And again the lack of a zipper takes away the risk of scratches.

I picked the color gray because i think it will stay nave the longest.

The build quality is fantastic and i can definitely recommend this sleeve to anyone.

Hope this help some of you.
