Everyone that got sierra to download on there computer, how did you do it with the patcher because I am trying to install on one my hard drives and it won't let me they are show up but it you click on a drive and it says this version of os x 10.12 can't be installed on this computer. Please help!! Thanks :D

Finally got time to install a Penryn in my iMac7,1. Installed Sierra and working great, minus the main volume control not controlling the volume (have to go into sysprefs and adjust the "alert" volume slider). Wifi also works as I replaced the older card with a BCM49360CD some time ago for Continuity.
I have my volume sliders on everything all the way down and it is still loud.

yep I have it working great on mine ... minus wifi - depends on how old though? mine is a 3,1

Mine is a 2,1
[doublepost=1468734014][/doublepost]Bumping my question: has anyone else experienced the effect where key autorepeat has stopped working. This is on a macbook 5,4

Where are you finding Public Beta #2? I'm on Public Beta #1 and the App Store shows me nothing ...
no internal WiFI, but I ordered a new card Friday and should have it next weekend. It does work via ethernet to a (Tower) Airport Extreme nearby.

Other than that, all is quite well with my late 2009 macPro flashed to 5,1 - When I plug in a mic, Siri worked. I'm swapping my 1066 memory for 3x8G 1333 modules. Got a newer nVidia GTX 285 1GB Video Card on the way to replace my nVidia GT120, and am considering swapping my 2.66gHz QuadCore processor for a W3680 3.33gHz Hex Core processor (swapping to twin processors is a bit too pricey for me now) ...

Hi everyone, just here to report my feedback. Installed macOS Sierra public beta on an mbp5,4. Everything seems to work flawlessly except for the built-in isight camera. It detects it within system as hardware/camera, but the camera shows a black screen.

Has anyone encountered the same issue?

Have installed Sierra on a MacPro 3.1 and it works, although cannot boot into the Recovery Partition.
Already updated the recovery partition through the App Store but still comes up with the
No Entry sign so will not boot. Any ideas. Thanks

Yeah. dosdude1 said he's working on a fix.

But as I said before, if you can't get your macOS Sierra recovery partition to work, despite having 10.12 installed, you CAN get an older recovery partition working side-by-side with Sierra and this should suffice till dosdude1 releases his fix.

How to run macOS Sierra with El Capitan recovery partition.

1. Download the Lion Recovery Update from https://support.apple.com/kb/dl1464?locale=en_US . (And before you ask, YES. I mean LION recovery update!) Make sure it is in your downloads folder. If you still happen to have the el capitan 10.11.5 full installer somewhere, right click on the Install OS X El Capitan.app file and click Show Package Contents. Go to Contents/SharedSupport/. Copy the InstallESD.dmg file into your Downloads folder. If you don't still have the el capitan 10.11.5 full installer, you can get it from the mac app store.

2. Download and decompress the file recovery.sh.zip from http://4unitmaths.com/recovery.sh.zip and move recovery.sh into your Downloads folder if it's not there already.

3. Open Terminal and type the following commands:

chmod +x ~/Downloads/recovery.sh

sudo ~/Downloads/recovery.sh

I have Macbook late 2008 with macOS Sierra DP1 but I can´t update to DP3 or PB2.

How can update DP1 to DP3 or PB2 or where can I download this versions for patch and reinstall in my Macbook???

Thanks

Is there a way to switch between DP and PB? I.e. I'm on PB right now and would like to try DP3.

You can use the Software Update Patcher. Unfortunately that's about as far as you might get. Most unsupported Macs are still unable to get the update. Even supported models aren't getting it from some buggy reason.

Its not listed on the developer site at the moment, I think MR jumped the gun on the announcement or they pulled it at the last moment.

Okay, for real this time. DP3 is now available.
The email I got says you will need:
"ensure you are on macOS Sierra Developer Preview 2 (builds 16A239j or 16A240m)."
If you have the public beta, it will not show up in the App Store.

?? I'm installing Developer Preview 3 right now after switching CatalogURLs. The build number is newer than the public beta. What did the email say?

I have installed developer beta 3 on my MBP drive using an external enclosure and my supported Mac. I booted the external drive. I put the SSD back into my MBP, booted and find no keyboard or mouse and looks like no USB. I rand the original patch tool since the updated patch tool appears to be for public beta.

What are my options to get USB working again?
