check your usb installer if it says something like macOS X base system reformat your usb installer and ry the patcher its best if your usb device is 16gb its best your usb device that you use for the patcher stay the name you title it and make sure you do the post install patches

Tried using the current installer on the MacBook 5,2. First it threw up an installer log error, then when I remade the USB it said that OS install.mpkg was damaged. Any advice? It's not pressing that I get Mojave (seeing as my SSD is in the mail still), but id still love to check out dark mode just for funsies.
What version of Patch are you using?
Step 1> Download Patch from OP
Step 2> Format USB to HFS+
Step 3> Install Patch to USB
Step 4> restart in T/M to USB>In tools menu of patch>download the current version of Mojave.
Step 5> Do not install over existing OS>Format drive>APFS/GUID from USB>run Mojave install>restart in T/M again & patch to whatever your Machine ID is> restart
I think that should cover it.

I'm using version 12. The latest version I know of.

Do you have the kernal panic after installing or after patching?
during the installation procedure with the usb. It runs well the patch v12, and then went to recovery, it shows the installation window, I select my ssd, the installation goes well for about 15 minutes and then crashes... don't know what to do..
[doublepost=1531899187][/doublepost]
and are you making sure you are checking the right model when selecting your model from the drop down list
[doublepost=1531893666][/doublepost]
I don't know but I believe it will be the same as the developers beta 4 as the developers beta3 and public beta 2 were the same
I can't even finish the installation on ssd (crashes after 15 minutes) to do de post installation thing...

That what I used as well
i am using a 256 gb ssd stick to a usb.... maybe it is the problem?
[doublepost=1531899372][/doublepost]
It is formatted correctly?
well, know I am thinking maybe it is the usb device causing the kernel panic. I am using a ssd m.2 256Gb stick to a usb frame.. on other words, it is a portable ssd m.2 sata 3 disk... do you think that could be the problem?
[doublepost=1531899442][/doublepost]

wich parameters should I choose when formatting? GUID partition?

I think I know what the problem is. I didn't format the destination disk before install... I always tryed to install Mojave over the existing OS. I thought the process did that, but maybe it doesn't...

You don't want to install over an OS, if you want to use Migration Assistant to bring over your files.

Hi, I'm using mbp mid 2009, after updating to beta 4 from beta 2 using software update the mac keeps on immediately restarting after showing apple logo, any one knows why? and how to fix this issue?

SOLVED>>

Sorry for annoying, I used b10 of the patcher then forced rebuild cashes and worked perfectly. I don't know why didn't work with b12.

Can someone help me? My iSight is not working. Does anyone have working files (please attach) and instructions on how to do this... My iSight has some weird picture on it I have a MacBook 6,1

It's because you have installed a third party CAM app, be careful that some could contain malware or incompatible libraries with Mojave. I'd suggest you to uninstall it.

Try open FaceTime, then on the Facetime/Finder bar click on "Video" and see there if can select iSight again as your default webcam.

@jackluke

Not at all !

I've installed a developper profile and do the update from preferences system to Beta 4 but still can't boot correctly. It reboots indefinetly.
Since I've also a macbook7,1 like you, could you please inform me about suitable patches that you applied during post install using dosdude1 Patcher ?
Thank you

EDIT :
If you applied manually all the known patches for this machine, could you please cite them ?

Well, I guess you will need a supported Mac to fix it from single user mode or you should have backed up your previous Mojave working prelinkedkernel file for your machine. At the moment I don't know another way.

Here are the steps I followed to manually patch Mojave beta 4 (18A336e) again from a supported Mac:

1) Replace any IOUSB*** kext (they are 5 in total) taken from High Sierra (not only IOUSBHostFamily.kext only this to me caused instantly KP)
2) Replace any GeforceTesla***, NVDANV50HalTesla.kext, NVDAResmanTesla.kext taken from High Sierra except GeForceTesla.kext you have to take the one from ASentientBot post.
3) Replace in /System/Library/UserEventPlugins/ the entire com.apple.telemetry.plugin taken from High Sierra

And I add and confirm that with every IOUSB*** taken from High Sierra, and every patches applied to a Mojave disk (if external USB hdd), this will continue to boot even on a supported Mac too.
Cause seems that on them the KP depend only from IOUSB*** Family kext, so swapping all of them is an acceptable general solution.

I repeat replacing especially the IOUSB*** kexts you we need a supported Mac because you have to recreate the kextcache with HighSierra IOUSB*** embedded in, I insist saying a supported Mac because in past I have tried to rebuild a prelinkedkernel from another Mac pointing to the exact /Volumes/Mojave/S/L/* but it didn't work, the only safe way I know is booting directly from single user mode of the Mojave disk you intend to patch.
Because to do this is mandatory a working internal keyboard through a valid IOUSB***.

I advice using dosdude1's Mojave Patcher both to create an installer and for patching, since manually it's becoming tricky, while his tool make things a lot easier!

edit:

I take this opportunity to remember that even if the new CoreBrightness file is 718 KB, my old Mojave beta 2 patched 648 KB still enable night shift on beta 4.
And even replacing IOAccelerator from Mojave beta 1 still works, personally I need to replace this last one since without it on my specific case when browsing through Finder's folders sometime it autocloses or jump to a back Finder path without any user interaction, it's annoying and it seems this doesn't occur replacing IOAccelerator.

if you ssd is the kind you can put in a digital camera then I don't those are bootable so it is possible its your ssd I know I had issues with trying to boot macOS external usb hard drive so installed macOS Mojave on my internal hard drive and install macOS High Sierra on my external usb hard drive and both work

I think b12 is used for dev beta 4 macOS Mojave

Don’t use the older versions. Download the latest one here. The public version of the developer beta 4 hasn’t been released yet. Wait a couple of days for it to be released or purchase a developer account to download the developer profile. Once you have the profile. install it on Mojave and download beta 4 from the Software Updates pane in System Preferences. After you install the update, boot to your patched usb and run the post install patches again.
Hi Julian I installed the public beta tester profile but the software update pane always shows that my macOS 10.14 is up to date. It is not true because my version is developer beta 2. Could you help me please? Thank you

Patch your device with the software update patch.

my iMac 11.2, on mojave10.14 b4, is able to play my heavy action games like: Deus Ex.. already played on 10.13 H S
when I first open my game it shows an error message that this game is not optimized to run on Mojave but second try it plays fine as it should, im happy now kinda feeling natively supported haha!
Tested & confirmed full acceleration for premetal AMD4600 as said Dosdude1
Thank You @Dosdude1 & Team for this awesome work!
