Actually, that is the info list on the usb install drive.
/Volumes/usb.Mojave.128gb/Install macOS Mojave Beta.app/Contents  ls
Frameworks/ Info.plist MacOS/ PkgInfo PlugIns/ Resources/ _CodeSignature/ version.plist

The macOS which I used to download the beta is Sierra (10.12.6) on a supported Mac.

It's the version that was used to compile the build, not the build itself.

Can someone help me? My iSight is not working. Does anyone have working files (please attach) and instructions on how to do this... My iSight has some weird picture on it I have a MacBook 6,1

Okay, can someone give me a step-by-step procedure for fixing some of the iSight camera problems with the latest macOS Mojave build? I'm going to include it in the OP but am very confused at the moment. Along with this, is there another AMD GPU that was able to get support? How come only the HD 2600 was able to work but not the other ones? Or is that something we need to do on every individual device to include support?

Got it, Thanks. Is there another file included in the install app that actually lists the official build number for the release (such as 18A336e)?

Easy answer = no

Correct answer = You have to open BaseSystem.dmg and check System/Library/CoreServices/SystemVersion.plist, it's easier done with Pacifist.

As @dosdude1 said here, AMD4xxx and older got full acceleration achieved, newer AMD5xxx and above don't got it yet

If you are using the latest Mojave Patcher beta 12 it will install 18A336e

As I respond to this, I am not aware (or haven't seen) that the Public Beta 3 has been released.
There was an announcement on the Front page of macrumors for Public beta 3

Thank you. And thanks as well for your reference to SWSwitcher app. I haven't tried it yet but I will later.

Wiped my 9,1 iMac again -- HAVE NOT INSTALLED THE BACKLIGHT PATCH. Reboots just fine. I'm going to ignore that patch for now.

I do have brightness control without the patch which would explain this.

I have a maxed out BTO model. 3.06ghz C2D, 4GB (I should really get 8GB), Radeon HD 4850.

I replaced IOUSBFamily.kext and IOUSBHostFamily.kext which I took from my HS 10.13.6 installation. Then I used KextBeast to load the kexts and the entered in terminal "command sudo nvram boot-args="kext-dev-mode=1". Then I rebooted and had a functioning iSight cam.

HOWEVER: This was my procedure on Beta 3, I have no idea if this works on Beta 4 ...

Just so you know, kext-dev-mode does absolutely nothing on Mojave. I keep seeing this pop up in the thread and it simply doesn't matter if you use it or not. Disabling SIP (csrutil disable in recovery mode) is all that's necessary.

I got prompted to update via software, new version Mojave beta, I believe in an earlier post it's not recommended to update via sys software, so anyone have a final verdict, I know I'll have to run the patch afterward.
Well, that install took about 20 minutes, booted up, I haven't run the patch yet, Hmmmm that's interesting. I just ran the Patch Updater in Utilities Folder and says "All is Up to date" "no new patch updates are available at this time"
18A336e is what I get which is the latest update. Patch or no patch from USB??

Seems a little more responsive in the Finder, some of the UI glitches aren't as apparent as with the previous beta.

Edit:
Also not seeing the WindowServer taking up resources as with previous updates, that's a plus.
Actually way more responsive than the last beta, Apps open substantially faster, especially native apps, no UI glitches in the menu bar or Finder.
Thanks to all!! especially dosdude1.

Why do i have kernel Panic and even can't finish installation procedure!? MBP 8,1 2011... It is Supposed to work as dosdude1 Said...

and are you making sure you are checking the right model when selecting your model from the drop down list

But did the installer version change?
I don't know but I believe it will be the same as the developers beta 4 as the developers beta3 and public beta 2 were the same

Tried using the current installer on the MacBook 5,2. First it threw up an installer log error, then when I remade the USB it said that OS install.mpkg was damaged. Any advice? It's not pressing that I get Mojave (seeing as my SSD is in the mail still), but id still love to check out dark mode just for funsies.
