I suppose that the "continuous/endless/loop reboot" that many of you are writing about is a Kernel Panic that from Mojave beta 4 (18A336e) occurs for three main reasons:

1) After few seconds from boot it's due to IOUSB*** Kexts (Replacing five from previous High Sierra will fix it, 10.13.5 seems more stable)
2) After a couple of minutes from boot (just before the GUI appears) it's due to com.apple.telemetry.plugin (Replacing from any High Sierra will fix it)
3) In the middle of the two previous cases, it's due to a mismatched prelinkedkernel/kextcache (returning to the USB Installer is a good solution to fix it)

Thanks @webg3 my iSight camera works just fine now!

@pkouame Yes I've upgraded to dev beta 4 and after replacing those 5 kexts my iSight seems to work consistently, tested with multiple app (skype, FaceTime, PhotoBooth, even QuickTime..). But I didn't noticed any difference in video/image quality, it's just like it was with High Sierra. I'll do a comparison just in case.

I'm on a MBP 7,1 (mid 2010)
Thanks. No sweat, I think my iSight performance may have been poor(er). So it may be on my side.

No...
Not working here.

Installation worked, but MBP mid09 keeps rebooting.

Aplied post patch too. No changes..
What now?
Use kext from High Sierra 10.13.6 (all five IOUSB)

Yes, install "macOS Plubic Beta Access Utility"

Yes - I think you've covered all of the scenarios.

There has been a lot of discussion here about the simplest and proper way of replacing a small set of kexts without using utilities that boot loop.

kextcache -system-prelinked... and kextcache -system-caches should be enough after dropping the new ones in S/L/E , that's the way I used to do it from the command line but I'll experiment with that a bit first...

Let me know if it works for you if you use kextbeast I tried and followed the instructions I rebooted constant boot loop then hit option click my macOS Mojave Patcher usb it went into a endless reboot loop turn off my iMac 8,1 then plugged my external hard drive with Sierra installed was able to boot into that then switched to another macOS Mojave patcher usb reinstalled all post install patches still the reboot loop so now doing a clean install of Mojave
I don't (and won't) use kextbeast (never really found a kext utility I trust) Did you trying post-installing again? Hopefully you saved the kexts you replaced and can try re-installing in recovery mode or using dude1's usb stick.

I ended up reinstalling macOS Mojave db 4 and yes I tried 4 times with do dude;s tool and force rebuild no luck never had issues with kextutilty if something went wrong most my USB ports would be unusable but never had the boot loop with kextutilty but mileage may vary I did save all 5 kexts from High Sierra 10.13.6

Glad to see you're back. I've been there :) I'm not to sure (exactly) what all those drag&drop tools do sometimes. If a post-install couldn't restore your state then it's likely the utility made some unintended or unexpected changes. That's why I shy away from them. Just sayin...
[doublepost=1532036461][/doublepost]@dosdude1 - the patcher replaces the USB Host controller kext HostFamily.kext - where did that version come from?

10.13.6 is build 9 version 1.2 source 514071001000000
latest patcher installs build 281 version 1.2 source 514060010000000

thx.

It came from 10.13.5.

I did get my iSight camera working on my iMac 8,1 and 9,1 using the kextutility and the five iousb kexts post 3327 its best to do the family kexts first and do them one at a time until the utility says have a good day(night) then proceed to the next one I took the kexts from my dosdude1's High Sierra patcher usb after I installed all 5 with the kext utility I rebooted then did the post install patches forced cache rebuild with the macOS Mojave patcher and the iSight works in Photo Booth as well

Huge thanks to all of you for your work on this patch! My MacBook Pro 2010 works great with Mojave (except for the iSight but I'm working on it...)
Is it just me or since the latest beta (Public beta 3 /dev beta 4) dynamic wallpaper works.
It is awsome to see it change during the day!
Dark Mode and light wallpaper looks good!

Hurray! Fantastic! which kexts from HS patcher?

Apologies if this has been asked already, but I easily managed to install the Mohave preview my Mac Pro 3,1 which has an Nvidia GT 120.

While everything on the screen displays 99% correctly in dark mode, it doesn't look as if the hardware acceleration is working properly, if at all.

Browsing the web, in particular, is quite laggy.... scrolling and page transitions are running at pretty much 1fps by the looks of it, and it seems like we're doing quite a bit of software rendering judging by the way the system fans spin up during slow graphics periods.

So, I guess now I should stick in a graphics card that's more up to the task.

I mainly use this machine for web development, I don't play games, I very rarely render video, I'm not driving loads of monitors.

The most taxed the GPU would get, would be rendering web pages, WebGL stuff, and HD/4K video playback.

My question would be, what would be a cheap metal-capable GPU that would run Mojave well with hardware acceleration in my mac pro 3,1 and perform well enough for my use case?

Having a boot screen compatible card is a must, but I don't mind flashing one if someone could recommend a card and link to flashing resources for said card?

TIA

Got my hard-drive is so slow. I will be upgrading to 8/16GB of RAM and an SSD. Just got scammed from buying 16GB or RAM from a "compromised account" off eBay. Twice.

those 5 kexts highlighted in blue if you use kextutility it will do a few things first like repair permissions etc just let it finish then do the first family kext. Thank you webg3
