I´m not sure we are talking about the same thing...
Cause Magic Mouse only has touch for scrolling in any directions, there is no wheel...
and this don´t work.
cursor and left click is working.
everything else not.

so, no bluetooth problem here.

where can i find developer tools and bluetooth explorer?

We do talking bout the same issue. I dont see the word wheel in my post. Right click is recognized with help of the touch thing on the mm so right click and scrolling does not work if the mm is not fully recognized.

Is there a way to get some text like in this image in the login window @dosdude1

You can get a similar effect with Security & Privacy --> General --> Show a message when the screen is locked. I use this in case I lose my MacBook, somebody can find it and call me on the phone number listed there.

If you're talking about modding the actual loginwindow, no idea. You might be able to edit some localization file if you really cared.

I have text, but I would like it in the same position as the "Unlock with Apple Watch" menu- any ideas on which localization file, @dosdude1 any ideas?

Not on a Mac Pro 3,1, but on a Mac Pro 4,1 or 5,1, it should work fine.

So the NVIDIA GTX 680 Classified 4GB CUDA Video Card is the way to go does anybody know what problems I run in to. Had a bad experience with a Nvidia video card wouldn't load up sometimes had to remove tow of my memory cards for it to work properly.

Others can perhaps give more info on this, but the localized strings are here:
/System/Library/CoreServices/loginwindow.app/Contents/Resources/English.lproj/loginwindow.strings

The one in question seems to be AHP_AUTOUNLOCK_RESTART but of course if you edit that, it will only replace the Apple Watch related message. I imagine a loginwindow binary patch would be required to always show that text.

Thanks for that! I’ll look into it- has anyone got experience with patches to persistently display text- maybe if you add one below the main enter password text?

Hello, im done with testing of Mac OS Mojave Beta, its slower than High Sierra. Battery is worse, MacBook is hotter, Slower Boot, After powering up machine it did twice chime(idk why?) etc. I understand that is still Beta. But i will wait until Official Version is released. If you will run Mojave on Mac.. SSD is NECESSARY.
I have been running Mojave since Beta 5 and I haven't run any hotter, my better life percent improved and run time did as well. It has seemed noticeable faster the High Sierra to me and my bench test have improved with each beta. I suppose I'm fortunate.

durika175 is probably running with an AMD GPU that is not hardware accelerated, which makes the mac sluggish and hot. And doubly so with no SSD.
Spinning rust is dead except for perhaps large archives—get over it and splash a few dollars for SSD.

Hello there,

I just want to thanks dosdude1. I have now Mojave on my iMac 2011 (12,2).
So far, no gpu acceleration as I have an AMD Radeon HD 6970M 1024 Mo. Hope it will come some day ?
Anyway thanks a lot. I will now try on my 2011 MacBookPro.

O.K., but it is fuly recognized.

puh... downloading more than 4GB only to get bluetooth explorer is heavy…

Hello from France,

I am, with my MacPro 3,1 under High Sierra Patched with "Dosdude great tool" and running APFS on a Samsung SSD : all is working fine !

Question :
If i want to install Mojave :

- Have I to do a clean install and return to "non APFS file system" ?
- No problem at all...just run the patch ?
- Apply the APFS Rom Patcher ? When ?

Many thanks for your help and congratulation for the great work.

Well done, which firmware restoration CD do you have used for the MBP?
Maybe this (last version) one? https://support.apple.com/kb/DL1320?locale=en_US

Or a previous version like this: https://support.apple.com/kb/DL77?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US

I ask because I can't find any firmware restoration CD for your MBP 15" 2008, it should be MacBookPro4,1 , so it would be useful to others if you elaborate how you fixed your bricked EFI EEPROM CHIP.

When you open System Preferences / Mouse do you see the Magic Mouse video examples or just a standard mouse prefpane ?

Have you tried to remove the Magic Mouse paired bluetooth device and then re add?

Otherwise try these manual steps (if you have a MacBook trackpad ignore step 1) :

1. switch off Magic mouse, plug-in any USB mouse
2. from Bluetooth system preferences delete Magic Mouse
3. go to /Library/Preferences/ and delete com.apple.Bluetooth.plist
4. go to /Users/YOURUSERNAME/Library/Preferences/ and delete:
com.apple.driver.AppleBluetoothMultitouch.mouse.plist
com.apple.driver.AppleBluetoothMultitouch.trackpad.plist
com.apple.driver.AppleHIDMouse.plist

5. Restart Mojave
6. Open Bluetooth system preferences and pair again your Magic Mouse

And check if now you have in Mouse prefpane the mouse video examples playback with all the Magic Mouse checkbox/tab settings.

I am using a Magic Mouse 1 with my iMac (Late 2009) running Mojave DP8, and have no issues. Right click, scrolling tap, double at with two fingers are working as expected.

I suggested @Balaur to replace all the 5 IOUSB*** from High Sierra, while the Mojave Patcher replace only 3 of them, I also use all the 5 IOUSB*** from HS in Mojave.

Upon this, I have a doubt regarding @16v issue, this could be related also to Magic Mouse/Magic Trackpad prefpanes, I mean, when you plug an USB Mouse it could override the Mouse prefpane making any plugged Magic Mouse as standard USB bluetooth Mouse, losing its special features settings. Just a supposition.

@jackluke Yes, in prefpane i see the magic mouse vids.

and like i said before, i did everthing regarding bluetooth inkl. "debug" and resetting all devices.
nothing.

O.K. where to get HighSierre IOUSB***-Files?

I did what you suggested. no changes, and no USB Mouse connected now…

Can second that on supported Mac Pro 5.1 and unsupported Mac Pro 3.1, both with Magic Mouse 1st generation. My issues come from having two Bluetooth Receivers. And came since playing with Mojave. Bluetooth mice are always a little fiddling when it comes to booting multiple systems on one Mac.

Try to switch on Magic Mouse since the Mac power-on, it should be automatically detected from the beginning. Even a standard USB Mouse try to plug from the power-on it should rebuild the user's Library preferences.

On emergency Mouse not detected:

Use FN+CTRL+F2 to navigate through ANY Finder Menus (Finder, Safari, Terminal...) and arrows to move around them.
Use FN+CTRL+F3 to navigate through the DOCK and arrows to move around them.
Use CMD+TAB to move between opened apps.
Use TAB key to move between any MacOS menus/panes with only keyboard and SPACE bar to select the button.

The best command when you open Finder without a Mouse is CMD+SHIFT+G from here you can go wherever you want for ex.:
type inside /Applications/Utilities/Terminal.app
and then CMD+O to open Terminal (or any highlighted app)

If you don't need Terminal and instead need to browse any other folder use when you are inside the Finder CMD+Up Arrow (or Down Arrow) to go to the parent (or child) root previous (next) directory

The 5 IOUSB*** were uploaded by @TimothyR734 here: HS IOUSB kexts

Anyway something went wrong with your Mojave installation cause any User's Library Preferences plist if removed should be recreated automatically by the system itself in the 99% of the cases.

Don't worry it's fixable. Just ask and I'll help you.

The patcher will attempt to automatically determine the EEPROM type. If it succeeds, it will continue on without any prompts. If not, it will ask you to select the specific EEPROM model. You should be able to run the patcher under any OS. It supports as old as OS X 10.7 Lion. Once patched, the system will work exactly as it did before. It will now just be able to boot APFS volumes as well.
[doublepost=1535130251][/doublepost]
This happens when you use a USB drive that's too small. Make sure the drive/volume you're using is at least 16GB in size.
Does your ROM Patcher support patching MBP11.1 or does this still need a J6100 board and CH413a programmer?
