I would try nuking the current partitioning with 'gpt destroy /dev/disk2', erase disk2 as APFS and then install patched Mojave on that. This is what I did to end up with a APFS format Recovery HD partition in the same container. Note that dosdude1 hasn't enhanced the Mojave patcher application yet to explicitly patch such a recovery partition for use with the ROM patched machines. You might check to see if the current Recovery partition patch can retain the desired partitioning while making the partition usable. Haven't tested that yet.

OK, then...

Here is my new diskutil list, according to your advice...and all is running very smoothly.

Is it good ?

Thanks again,

PJN

I don´t use APFS even in my supported Macs. For thrice I had to restore from a backup. Corrupted fsroot.
I´m so happy with HTFS. Couldn´t see a single gain.

https://hackintosher.com/guides/guide-to-fresh-installing-macos-mojave-on-a-hackintosh-10-14/ read that post, I can't confirm it but the person claims to get full acceleration on AMD cards only.....
Based on the details I can find it sounds like he is only testing modern AMD cards.

5. Mojave Graphic Cards

AMD Graphic Cards

Most AMD graphic cards like the AMD RX 560/570/580 work in Mojave with full acceleration. My RX 560 works without WhateverGreen.kext.

Versions of WhateverGreen.kext earlier than 1.2.0+ can cause graphical glitches with transparency in the toolbar and various other windows so remove it from EFI/Clover/kexts/Other or S/L/E or L/E to avoid these issues.
Reading a bit about "WhateverGreen.kext" does make me wonder if it would be helpful for the unsupported Mac users (even outside of Mojave)

The DP 10 is out a smaller update usually 3.27gb but only 1.29gb

Oh enough small update, this sounds like a GM candidate, even if during High Sierra GM release (build 17A362a) was almost announced and then postponed for about two weeks into the Final Public App Store release (build 17A365).

http://www.idownloadblog.com/2017/09/14/macos-high-sierra-golden-master/

However mid September is typically the ending beta month.
Followed by a quick 10.14.1 delta/combo update for general issues and security vulnerabilities fixes.

edit:
My forecast is that they will observe almost the same release period of High Sierra, as like an annual-basis so to me Mojave Final Public release date is September 24th.

No more edit, don't want to invalidate my post.

edit2:
Just one last edit cause the first date I set is an US holiday, so I've reconsidered their launch between the summer solstice ending and the autumn equinox beginning.

First out the gate as usual! Cool.

Notice anything new? DB9 introduced a bunch of (internal) code level changes to key frameworks like AppKit, Carbon (and its frameworks), Skylight etc. It's making it difficult to patch. But I want to believe Apple wants GM out before 9/12...

Does anyone here know if the RX Vega 100% fan issues have been resolved in Mojave? I searched the thread, but couldn't find an answer to this.

I'm seeing some good deals on Vega 56 cards. Do these give a reasonable experience in Mojave for consumer level cards, or are there any better for, let's say, under $700? I'm mostly looking for something that works seamlessly with macOS and is good for compute, but can also do gaming reasonably.

Edit: Just noticed this may have been the wrong thread, sorry. Pls ignore if it bothers you.

Successfully updated to Developer Preview 10 via System Preferences | Software Update ...

Only glitch was my audio wasn't working and night shift was missing. So I re-ran @dosdude1's patch updater and everything seems to be fine right now. Hoping the next release is the GM.

~Mahalo~! everyone on this thread for the continuing discussion.

Sweet. Thanks for confirming.

Regarding night shift, my previous update to DP9 did not have night shift among the patch updater items. So I could not re-install or re patch to include night shift. I've been running DP9 without night shift since then. Do you guys see the benefit of night shift on mojave un-supported macs? If you think it is beneficial, how can I re-install night shift again?

Thanks all.

Try this: Already patched Night Shift Corebrightness file
My patched binary file is based on cbpatcher by dosdude1.

It has worked till Mojave beta 9, I can't find a reason why it shouldn't work for beta 10 too.
You'd be the first to test it on Mojave beta 10.

Don't worry this file cannot destroy your Mac, it was correctly codesigned.

How did you correctly codesign it?
