After install/post install, you didn't have to "transfer" from a backup of your previous version? Thanks again @TimothyR734.
No I installed over beta 11 instead of a clean install

Surtout n'oublie pas d'executer le post-install!

Never figured out the loss of admin issue. Did you? happened to me a few times too...

Waiting for those web drivers myself. NVIDIA pulled the 108 Release a few days ago (for some reason) ...
I did a a install of macOS Mojave over the beta 11 and it did not mess with your hybrid patch still fully functional

Hello,

Success for me :

- Download Mojave 18A391 installer
- Patch it with @Dosdude tool (V 1.2.1)
- Intall and post-install patch over the Mojave GM 18A389
- Now all is running fine on 18A391

nota : I do not use Night Shift because I prefer "f.lux". I know @dosdude1 is working on a new night shift patch for the patch updater : am I right ?

Many thanks !

PJN
I saw the night shift in the patch updater

Installed the official build and after running the patches except for video, it looks like Apple is blocking my Titan from running metal. Rebooting. Also lost most of the scaled 4k resoltions.

Rebooted. Metal gone. A lot of 4k is gone. Apple know you didn’t. Will make sure the patcher did not run it’s video.
Should be fixable. Have old install.

Cool. Your system update didn't update HIToolbox. Good news. How's GM? (did I miss the screenshots ...)

EDIT: I think you meant the menu bar patch. You don't have the hybrid one yet.

I'd recommend the AMD RX 560 or 580. It's on Apple's "supported" list, and doesn't rely on NVIDIA's web driver updates.

I wasn’t using web drivers. In the betas was using Apple’s native drivers. I may have installed the wrong patch on my tiny text install at 4k. Reinstalling and Rerunning.

Also AMD does not run on a Mac Pro 3,1 on Mojave so that’s not an option. Apple may be blocking certain Kepler ID’s. I have it fully working on previous release and should be able to easily snag those Mojave drivers if necessary. My original Titan 6GB is an awesome card btw. Minor speed bump.

What?! Pray tell...

I am new to this thread. I just found out MacOs Mojave was released today. I would like to know if it would properly run on a MBP Late 2011. I have read some comments about the GPU but did not quite understand. So what are the necessary steps to install Mojave?

Thanks Dosdude. All good on my Mac Pro 3.1 with GTX 680 PC Mac EFI flashed card and Samsung Evo 950 APFS. Only downside is my pci Wifi card isn't recognised any more. I always hook up with ethernet anyway so no big loss.

Erased and reinstalled.
Only applied the 4,1 patches and manually removed the telemetry plugin.

Works. Gonna blame it on operator error. I think I picked macmini 3,1 instead of MacPro 3,1. This is my best guess. Installing at full 4k res can be harder to see if not careful.

Metal is back.
4k 5k scaled res’ are back.

GTX GeForce original Titan Kepler card.

No voodoo from Apple.

Running rest of the patches from the patch Updater.

Crazy cuz I had screen acceleration just not metal and all the bonis scaled res’ using the option key in the display panel.

Time to clone.

Updated the Mac Mini 4,1 to the GM release. All is well with it.

Getting ready to do a test install on the Mac 3,1.

@dosdude1 , any comment on my earlier question about how to check if the APFS ROM Patcher actually worked? I went through the whole ROM writing bit with the power button and it seemed to work but I couldn't boot an APFS version of Mojave b11 on an external drive (Firewire).

You can get a third party Broadcom card between 12.50 and 25 dollars. Shop around some cards only let you use 2.5 GHz. That happened to me with one of my cards.

Yeah. I found that my use of Airdrop and Handoff between devices has significantly increased. Used to be a cat5(6) snob on my 3,1 , but now find my wifi+bt card indispensable...

Phew! Watching all of this remotely ... will GM sometime late tonight.

Warning to anyone using Coriolis Systems apps (iDefrag, iPartition). I got a kernel panic immediately after installing Mojave and booting for the first time. The CoriolisSnapshot.kext was causing the problem. Also removed CoriolisOnlineHelper.kext just to be sure.

I'm sure Apple is doing this on purpose, when you go to download an Older version of Mac OS using the App Store Link (the search feature doesn't show older versions, neither does purchase history) it will not load the page to get the installer. It's like they are preventing us from getting older versions of Mac OS once you upgrade. I know this was their intentions this whole time, but this takes it to a new level.

Yes, it's insidious (spent a half hour trying to find High Sierra full installer in the App Store and on Apple.com downloads pages with no luck -- only updates show up on Apple.com). But you can get it by going to MacUpdate web site, using the underlying link earlier in this sentence. (This is for High Sierra.) If High Sierra 10.13.6 is what you're looking for, clicking on the "Download" link at the top of that page will take you to another link that will open your App Store directly onto the macOS High Sierra download page. (The page is still there in the App Store, even if you can't find it by using search -- how accommodating of Apple!)

Cool! Thx. From the Home Page , looks like we're in for a quick security patch very soon (within the week is my guess). Luckily we've ironed out all of the system update bugs... I'm taking a crack at GM finally wish me luck.

I'm so annoyed by this. I'm taking my 2009 Mac mini server and partitioning the 2x 1tb hard drives and dividing them into 10 partitions. I will be installing every Mac OS version from 10.5.8 to 10.13.6. It will be a fully functional vault (minus Tiger which I have on a 07 mini) of all Mac OS Versions. I even swapped the wifi card to support the unsupported OS's.

Installed the final release of Mojave on the 2010 Mac Pro tonight with the Radeon HD 7950. Has anyone tried the Radeon RX 580? or RX Vega 56?
