So expand-full is a pbzx replacement? I’ve wanted that ever since I tried manually downloading an installer. Another question: can I use pkgutil to only extract specific files?

Yes. Just use that rather than the usual --expand and it'll give you a folder for Payload rather than one file. It blew my mind when I read about this!

Not that I know of, but go ahead and read the manpage cause I'm not sure!

do you use SSD and 4 gig of ram on macbook 5,2 with mojave ? and is it fast enough ? cause i have macbook 5,2 with mojave but i use HDD and 2 gig 800 mg of ram it's too slow and camera not working trackpad not work like normal no right click no trackpad setting also sleep is not work for me
I have sent you a private video where you can see the performance of my macbook 5.1.

Thanks a lot for the information, I have an iMac 7,1 as well and sounds like Mojave can work with it based on your posts. Greatly appreciated.

Also do you have the graphics working with hardware acceleration and is there that menu bar glitch in the light theme, that dosdude1 mentioned "Currently, pre-metal video cards used in Mojave will produce a weird darkish grey Menu Bar and Finder sidebar when using the light theme."

Can you please post some screenshots of the light theme please. Thanks. I'm not a fan of the dark theme as some people are. Would love to see how it looks on the light theme before deciding to install Mojave. Thanks. :)

Yes... the glitch is in the light theme and it appears sometimes in the dark theme (in applications that still not prepared for mojave, like handbrake). But you can bypass this problem disabling transparence (in accesibility options). I will post screenshots when i arrive at home.

I’ll check, hope it’s there because it would make my script so much faster.

is there any solution for webcam and trackpad problem on macbook 5,1 mid 2009 ?
I solved the trackpad problem... CHANGING MY TRACKPAD!!!

I buy an trackpad of an macbook pro 4.1 and i put it in my macbook 5.1. The size is the same and fits perfect in the hole. Now the trackpad of my macbook is multitouch.

but I think that some patches of @dosdude1 solve some of the the problems with the original trackpad.

For the webcam... I don't know. The webcam was working when i installed high sierra, but in a update it lost its functionality

I believe you meant "man pkgutil". But shouldn't be avoided the payloads on unsupported machines ?

Awesome, thanks for the response. I had also sent a private message about this. :)

Funny enough I was already disabling transparency on High Sierra, in the System Preferences>Accessibility>Display>Reduce Transparency.

Do you have any other issues not mentioned or is everything working fine on Mojave for you with the iMac 7,1 just as it did under High Sierra.

Look forward to the screens of the Light Theme and will give installing Mojave a shot after reading your posts on it working.

Try running this in terminal, it enables reduce transparency for everything except the dock.
defaults write com.apple.universalaccess reduceTransparency -bool true
killall Finder; killall NotificationCenter; killall Spotlight

Wow, that’s really nice :)
Really like that the dock stays transparent, that was the thing annoying me the most with reduced transparency!

THANKS!

as I said macbook 5,2 mid 2009 have problem with sleep when I close lid laptop not going to sleep anymore whatever I installed all patches so there is 3 problem in this macbook 1-webcam not working 2-trackpad not working 3-sleep problem.

I just upgraded to Mojave 10.14. Now I can't connect via Bluetooth to my phone. I've looked for ways to change settings. I've scanned both the phone and the Mac, but they just won't recognize each other. Since nothing's changed on the phone, I am assuming there must be a Mojave problem. Do you have any ideas? BTW, am I posting in the wrong place?

All - Mojave Hybrid Mode v1.0 is released (for Mojave GM)

The screenshots should be self explanatory, but this is a "fix" for our broken Mojave Light Mode. Search back for my original posts on this. You will find it here with notes and instructions. Read them carefully.

Lots of good people collaborated on this. So a special shout out to these collaborators :
@testheit @arqueox @TimothyR734 @ASentientBot @0403979 @webg3 and others...

Many more screenshots and details are available in the repo.

This is still an active project, so updates and support for upcoming Mojave updates will be coming soon. Open an Issue if you have a problem.

More documentation and a cleaner "scripted" installation will be available when time permits. Other ways of distributing are being explored.

NOTE: For the moment it is assumed that you know what you're doing and are fairly comfortable with the Terminal command line. If you are not, proceed with caution and ask for help: there are plenty of us who tested this to help.

Nothing here will brick your machine if you follow guidelines and make some quick backups (again - read instructions carefully) Ultimately, it always pays to know how to do things manually...

Do not use if you have upgraded to a beta - while it may be compatible it is highly unrecommended as each beta needs to be analyzed, patched and released. Going forward I plan on only supporting official Mojave updates, the in-between betas are too hard to track...

Enjoy (from the team)

Little confused. You are showing 3 directories but just have 2 files inside of flat and hybrid. Also no Appkit inside of Hybrid.

Yes you might try this after you unzip right click then show package contents scroll to macOS then open your terminal and drag airdrop enabler and drop in to terminal

I installed it but I think doesnt work with iPhone, right? 'cause it didnt find my iPhone?

I drag and drop this to Terminal and hit to Enter. After finishing the process I quit. Log out and log in back.

As it should be. Flat = solid menu bar + AppKit. Hybrid = solid menu bar + CoreUI. As distributed. Mix and match to your own taste.

Successfully updated (OTA) and patched using @dosdude1's mojave patcher app.

Thanks to all who contributed on this thread.

:( Bugs found that were not in Beta 4 --- dock slow to appear upon login, or does not now show at all. Performance is also slower compared to Beta 4.

Planning to roll-back to Beta 4.
