MBA 4.2 Mojave 10.14.1 having problem with auto brightness. When it switched off, moving brightness slider works well as should be. When on, it changes not brightness but contrast/saturation (don't know what exactly) of screen. As I remember this worked normally on 10.14.
What was done after: dirty flashed 10.14.1 over 10.14.1. Rebuild caches. Night Shift disappeared. But problem was same. Reinstalled Night Shift patch. Same problem.
Who can confirm and what to do?

Guys, It is running: Mojave 10.14.1 on RAID 0 and APFS file system, I followed some installation tips in the Brazilian forum (macmagazine) and it worked.

diskutil appleRaid create stripe raid0 JHFS+ disk1 disk2
diskutil unmountDisk disk3
sudo gpt create disk3
gpt add -t hfs disk3

after install Mojave:

diskutil list to Locate the Mojave Installation Partition

diskutil apfs convert disk(x)s(y)

I think you might need to modify this description. There are errors at least on my system and some steps described produce error messages related to gpt.

Decided to bite the bullet and upgrade my Mac Pro 3,1 with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 to Mojave.
Prepared a new USB stick using dosdude's macOS Mojave Patcher v1.2.3 and macOS Mojave 10.14.1
When I boot I get to the point where it completes the progress bar on the Apple Logo screen - then the screen goes blank and my monitor turns off.
Anyone have any idea why?

Any idea while this message appears? The RAID0 has 500 GB of space but the Mojave Patcher thinks it has insufficient space. This follows on from the getting Mojave 14.1 booting from RAID 0 thread started by web3g

I found the same (Mac mini 2011), so I took jackluke's advice and swapped PencilKit.framework for the High Sierra version. However, Notes.app then wouldn't launch:

Dyld Error Message:
symbol '_OBJC_CLASS_$_PKTextAttachmentDrawingView' not found, expected in '/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/PencilKit.framework/Versions/A/PencilKit', needed by '/Applications/Notes.app/Contents/MacOS/Notes'

So I took Notes 4.5 from High Sierra (the Mojave version is 4.6). This runs fine, but handwritten notes don't display – they show up with a placeholder icon.

This is not a big deal for me, since I don't use handwritten notes, but it's worth noting as the only problem I've seen since upgrading to Mojave. Anything else we can try?

I did not bring the old app in but I tested swaping the framework file wont work on its own.

I did not try switching the app to old version because I have too many important notes inside the Notes app and I don't want to mess them up.

Also note that, when PencilKit framework file is missing, all app wont load, they would auto quit.
For anyone who want to play with it, make sure you opened Finders with old and new files ready to drag and drop.

I had the same process happening with a similar hardware so I reboot to the USB stick, post install and force rebuild the caches, reboot in Mojave and everything was OK

I have a 17” 2011 MacBook Pro and just. Updated to Mojave 10.14.1. I had previously successfully upgraded to Mojave using the method from this forum.
When I did the upgrade to 14.1, my laptop locked up on the re-boot and wouldn’t finish the install/boot. Waited for a couple of hours just to make sure.
Had to re-boot off my install drive and run the Patch again to get the laptop to finally boot.
Not sure where the issue lies, but just an fyi in case others have a similar issue.

@dosdude1 - My Bluetooth Mac mouse is now working as well as Bluetooth being seen in the System Hardware support. Can also connect my iPods.
So, don’t know if it is the upgrade to 10.14.1 that has fixed this, or something totally random.

I have a Mac Mini with a similar issue. The update seemed to go ok, but now the machine is in a constant reboot loop. I can't get it into safe mode or anything.

How do I resolve if I don't have a second system drive to boot from? I have the DosDude USB stick, but how does that allow me to run the update again?

Many thanks.

StNick. Have the USB stick plugged in and reboot. Hold down the Option key when you reboot and you should come up with the selection of drives to boot from.
Select the USB stick and let it boot.
It will look like it wants to do a re-install, but just go to the Utilities menu and select apply the post-install Patch.

I have exactly the same Problem. Tried different USB Sticks, even an old HD and a CF Memory card. Every time the bar never loads. Picture of the verbose output:

I replaced the internal DVD drive with a second HD. Could this be a problem?View attachment 801741View attachment 801742
Try to free up some space in your system disk. 7.74 GB free maybe not enough to uncompress and copy some files needed to build the installer

I do large use of Notes on mac, and they are stored here:
/Users/yourUsername/Library/Containers/com.apple.Notes/Data/Library/Notes/

or from Finder "Go to folder": ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.Notes/

So I don't think replacing the Notes.app they will be deleted, anyway a backup before is safer.

Try to leave the Mojave PencilKit p-framework and using only the Notes.app version 4.5 check if the handwritten notes are shown.

Had a 2009 MacBook Pro, running 10.14.1 nicely thanks to the patcher.

Got a new(er) 2012 MacBook Pro, running stock 10.14.1.

Put the 2009 in target disk mode, connected to the 2012 via FireWire, used Migration Assistant to move accounts & data to the 2012.

Apparently Migration Assistant grabbed all, or at least some of, the patched files. I get the "SIP is enabled" error dialog at login, and video and other systems seem a bit wonky. Is there an uninstall script I can run, to get rid of any patch cruft on the 2012?

Meh. I just went ahead and booted to the recovery volume and reinstalled 10.14.1 on top of it. Problem solved, as far as I can tell.
