[doublepost=1562101947][/doublepost]No problem here getting full installer for DP3 (15.0.17 @ 6,818,977,550 bytes)

I know, I meant the Catalina's SystemPreferences "Software Update" now OTA updates are available from apple supported Mac without downloading the full installer, personally I prefer the OTA updates especially during beta stages.

However in the OP there is the Czo softwareupdate's source code, I am not skilled in that, maybe someone may take a glance and re-enable the OTA updates from "Software Update".

I mean till "Mojave unsupported Mac" this OTA feature worked.

Latest DP3/PB2 release of Catalina WORKS with all current patches, INCLUDING the Legacy non-Metal video card patch! The current Catalina Patcher version can download and install it no problems.

Thanks. I will try and install this later tonight.

I already have an unsupported Mac and used version 1.0b5 of your MacOS Catalina Patcher.
Do you suggest an OTA and reboot to apply the patches needed or Re-install OS via your patcher?

Much appreciated.

Have you been testing installing DP3 over DP2? Unless the 1.0b6 changed behavior of the automatic patch installation, I believe the cache won't get the forced rebuild that is required (unlike a clean install where the cache hasn't been built yet at the end of the installation).

Do any of you guys do native iOS, Android or Web development? HQ Trivia contacted me today. They are in NYC and are hiring several roles. I had a great conversation with them today. It went extremely well, but I got the impression they are looking for more solid engineers and perhaps local ones as well. My family plays HQ Trivia and loves the app. I thought I would mention it. If you fit the bill let me know via DM and I'll get you in touch with their in house recruiter. Languages depending what platform you're developing for : Swift, Java/Kotlin, Node.js, Angular, JavaScript.

AirDrop and Handoff work out of the box in Catalina on a MacPro 3,1 with a BCM94360CD. So it should only be patched for configurations that aren't working.
I'm looking forward to this. Waiting for the package(s) to arrive. My USB 3.0 card is working flawlessly on Catalina Beta2.

Fantastic news. Hopefully this is a sign that Apple is slowing down the pace of SkyLight/CoreDisplay changes. Maybe Catalina will be usable long-term with these patches after all.

AM I reading you guys correct, there is a new Beta version of Catalina out today? Will the patcher download it, because I am not seeing it in Software Update?

For those who cannot access the full installer for Beta 3 and would like an original copy, you can download it here:

https://starplayrx.com:8181/CatalinaBeta3.dmg

when using, open the dmg and copy the installer .app to your desktop and then use Dosdude1's installer maker. It will not work directly from the dmg.

My server is located Wis. and has a gigabit connection. Over fiber it should take 8 minutes to download.

If anyone needs a mirror for any installer patches, let me know. I have lots of bandwidth available.

Finally apple has decided to don't deliver more the full Catalina Installer (previously 6,5 gb), but starting from this Catalina beta 3 the OTA download size is the screen attached, however it's a supported Mac, so I ask to @dosdude1 and @0403979 have you managed to get OTA updates detected from a Catalina unsupported Mac through "Software Update" ?

Because the Czo "software update patch" doesn't work more (since Catalina beta 1).

Another logical question if it is possible to manually patch and install the standalone update(downloaded from the supported Mac I guess).

Suggesting what? A non-working OTA?

Thanks @dosdude1, got it working, 2008 machine (with RAM and drive upgrade) is still running great, even better than some new machines :)

Hi, is this the Aluminium MacBook 2008? Did you install APFS patch before installing Catalina since this model doesn't support APFS boot natively? Could you share the APFS patch you applied? Thank you!
