OK after lots of test 'Cause I know I'm not crazy
I had to install the script well at the start because I did not believe that I could make Legacy Video Patch on 10.15.4 work without com.apple.security.libraryvalidation.plist = true
And I said to myself I will test without using it and well, I deleted the plist and it works, I just did a fresh installation and it works after deleted

NOTE: I always SIP full Disable

EDIT
Since Tuesday it is my 4th install to test the deletion of the file and it works

EDIT again

And I also test after having deleted I installed the script in false
sudo defaults write /Library/Preferences/com.apple.security.libraryvalidation.plist DisableLibraryValidation -bool false

and it also works
:D

I confirm your test results. With SIP always fully disabled, installation of 10.15.4 with patcher 1.3.1 never failed even when removing all AMFI tranquilizers before.
(Always using a bootable USB installer, didn‘t try install-to-this-machine as I don‘t have patcher 1.3.1 anywhere else)
MBP5,2, APFS ROM patch applied.

EDIT: but see post #9308.

Following @ASentientBot's post, I got the Japanese Input Method partially working by replacing these files from Mojave:

Code:
/usr/lib/libmecabra.dylib
/System/Library/Input Methods/JapaneseIM.app
/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/TextInput.framework

Just by replacing those file, the Japanese IM worked, however after messing around with it a little bit I am still seeing some strange symbols popping up following by a crash of the JapaneseIM.... But I can still type some simple sentences in Japanese without any problems. Yay!

---------------

Edit: Got the JapaneseIM fully working by replacing one more framework (With no more crashing or "おはよ4"):
Code:
/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/TextInputCore.framework

Hopefully this will help to fix the problems that Japanese people on unsupported Macs are encountering. Good night!

I tried this using the terminal utility from the patchers USB stick.

Now my system won't start :(

How did you copy these files? Did you use terminal from within the OS?

Also, my system didn't have a folder called /textinputcore.framework

Managed to get dot4 onto a APFS partition via USB, the installation went flawlessly until the black bar completely filled and ground to the stop many have reported. Is there any method to repair the install which is completely intact without having to completely reinstall when Apple's monkey puzzle is finally sorted out? 🤔

If you already applied the post-install patches, try this, boot from an USB Catalina Patcher, open a recovery terminal and type:
Code:
csrutil disable
nvram boot-args="-no_compat_check amfi_get_out_of_my_way=1"
reboot
This time it should work.

I could use some help. I'm experiencing an odd display error on my mbp 8,1 running 10.15.3. It began when I initially force installed Mojave in late 2019. The borders of certain graphics elements displays a black line where I imagine it should be transparent. Has anyone experienced this problem and does anyone have ideas on how to fix it? Thanks

Use the Apple TV player app to try to play some content. What I have seen is that the very first playback seems to work. However if you stop the play back and later try to click on the content to resume the playback, the playback window briefly opens with content and the immediately closes. Note that this doesn't apply to downloaded content which always plays fine.
I do not have any subscriptions with Apple TV but I tried with a trailer. I started playing it, then I pressed pause and then play and it was OK. Then I started another trailer, I pressed pause, closed the video window, clicked on the trailer icon again. The window open and it played without a problem.

Unfortunately, that won't trigger the bug. Try this.

1) Launch the TV application
2) In the TV app window, enter 'free movies' in the search box at the upper righthand corner
3) Click on the 'Peanuts in Space' free movie that appears
4) In the 'Peanuts in Space' window that appears, click 'Play'

On my MacPro 3,1, the playback window opens, plays for a second and closes. This behavior has existed for all beta and release versions of Catalina.

This is on a Mini3,1, (non- Metal) 9400 box, not a MP. If that makes a difference??

It should be the same for any mac, but at this point if with "csrutil disable" and "nvram boot-args with amfi" don't worked, I guess the 10.11 supported machines don't have that "amfi flags" in their EFI (non-APFS) firmware.

So probably that's why you can't disable AMFI after a fresh 10.15.4 install, instead the ASentientBot "disablelibraryvalidation.plist" method works to skip AMFI, but only if you are upgrading a 10.15.x installation with a default user already settled, because is a "all users Library Preference plist", but if you need to complete a welcome screen setup then it's not much effective.

Support apfs ?
Support APFS and HFS+J, It will detect automatically

I can confirm it's the same behaviour on my cMP 3,1 with 10.15.4.
