Love those muddy waters...
You should just be able to use dosdude1 latest patcher and download the latest version. Right click on download and Get Info and check the Version number

Just use dosdude1 latest catalina patcher and it will download latest version. Make your usb installer and install

That is exactly what I did. But, I still only have 10.15.5. I don't have the letters in the parentheses, which is the Supplemental Update (I think).

Just to say that the replacement of MonitotPanels and MonitorPanel.framework with the ones from 10.15.3 (indiawallah's post #9415) still works for 10.15.6 beta2 - i.e. brightness slider and automatic brightness control checkbox are there. And NightShift which I had already installed with Patch Updater.
I didn't try to re-apply all patches with the updater as a remedy as dougg3 did in post #11186 - next time.

(MBP5,2 17" mid 2009, 2.8GHz Penryn T9600, Nvidia 9600M GT, 8GB, APFS ROM patch applied, Samsung SSD 840/860 EVO with APFS. Catalina 10.15.6beta/10.15.5)

I also did this fix (indiawallah) and brightness slider is there but not the checkbox.

Hey @jackluke which patches are you installing from Dosdude Patcher while using OC?

Only these: "LegacyUSBInjector.kext" (parrotgeek1), no other patches are included, but with telemetrap.kext (Syncretic) is suffice to boot a non-patched Catalina also on core2duo mac with metal drivers "not video patched".

for SIP disabling I use stock boot.efi with opencore csr-active-config, -no_compat_check for board-id whitelisting, for disabling library validation "amfi_get_out_my_way=1" (this implies to use tccplus to add permissions for third party apps)

these are not stored on nvram, used only during an opencore session, they are just deleted after a simple reboot, also nvram reset is not necessary.

edit:
I misread your question, from dosdude1 1.4.4 catalina patcher you have to apply all the post-install patches for your machine, expect the Video Patch if you have a Metal GPU.

The same thing happened to me but when I went to About This Mac > System Report > Software, it shows the build.

I just downloaded the newest patcher 4.4 and a fresh copy of Catalina and installed it on my hard drive. I didn't get the Supplemental Update. See the attachment. :(

(19F101) is the Supplemental.
Thank you. I did it all again, but didn't get the Supplemental.

One can D/L the full Supplemental installer using the v.1.4.4 patcher. The command you tried to use is depreciated, apparently.

I'm on 10.15.4 w/ Supplemental Update (19E287). I stopped updating halfway through April for fear of any new bugs and because it takes a long time to make a bootable external HDD partition, download the whole Installer, use the patcher tool and reinstall the entire OS over the current one, and then apply post-install patches, then check everything…that's nearly 3 hours (or more if everything goes to sh*t)

Edit: I'm going to upgrade from 10.15.4 (19E287) [P 1.4.2] to 10.15.5 (19F101) [P 1.4.4] to download an older Installer app.
Erase disc and install 10.15.1 [P 1.2.1] – start fresh and install my Safari extensions, tick the precious boxes to enable them – then upgrade back to 10.15.5. And never touch the Safari Extensions pane until I perish or buy a 2020 16" bazooka

Hi, i was having some recent errors with 10.15.4 (latest build with patcher) address book, FaceTime, messages, would not respond randomly and would not fix until reboot (I notice because clean my Mac warned me about the not responding apps), now I have (today) updated to 10.15.5 (19F101), and have not yet experienced those error, but now Finder suddenly stopped working, it appear double, and tell me that finder is no longer open, I will going to restart with nvram reset, but it appears so much as the previous error, so I thought I might just post it here, maybe someone knows about it.
MacBook Pro 13'' Early 2011 8,1.
(updated with usb stick, latest patch)
* error appeared last week for the first time.

Install Failed 4.png I upgraded to 10.15.1 (19F101), Patcher 1.4.4.
Same install failure occurs, except this message now pops up repeatedly:

SUPreferenceManager: Failed to set object of class: __NSCFConstantString for key: LastRecommendedMajorOSBundleIdentifier with error: Error Domain=SUPreferenceManagerErrorDomain Code=1 "(null)"
The new battery health management feature exclusive to 10.15.5+ is also unavailable to me (https://support.apple.com/en-ie/HT211094)

iMac 10,1 27" 8GB 2TB HDD, multiple boot partitions including 10.12, 10.13.6, and 10.15.5 using this patch.

Need Target Display Mode (TDM) so booted into High Sierra but doesn't work any more (used to) after Catalina install+patching. I recall bootrom? was updated updating to Catalina on unsupported Macs? Anyway to rewind and recover TDM? Okay if I lose Catalina.

Thanks

Yeah i noticed those messages too, they were added in a recent macOS update. They look like debug messages so i just ignore them. I'm still not sure why it doesn't work for you though.
BTW the battery feature doesn't show up for me either so it probably needs a supported battery/mac or some patch.

Oh i just realized something: i used the CatalinaOTAswufix.app jackluke posted in this thread to get beta updates.
Without this fix the Software Update Pane doesn't show any updates in the System Preferences.
I'm thinking maybe the fix also fixed the softwareupdate command and that's why it works for me but not for you two.

I'm using jackluke's CatalinaOTAswufix.app regularly to get the betas. Still the softwareupdate command fails.
Like K two I think it is deprecated.
dosdude's patchers always work for downloading (their respective latest) full installers.

Edit: tried these patchers to download these full installers:
- 1.1.6 and 1.2.1 both download 10.15.4.00
- 1.3.4 downloads 10.15.3.00 (as dosdude already said in post #11359)
and I didn't get to an earlier installer version this way.

Yeah i guess.
quaccOS was trying to get a version of the installer that doesn't have the safari extensions bug and i thought i'd help out but oh well i guess it doesn't work anymore.(even though i can still download 10.15.1 which is very confusing)

Also the --fetch-full-installer --full-installer-version arguments were added in catalina and i think it doesn't really make sense to add features to a command and then deprecate it so soon after.
But it's apple and they do a lot of weird stuff so ?‍♂️

I see the problem with an older PowerPoint presentation on my MBP5,2 with 10.15.5. It makes much use of transitions.
Opening the same .pptx presentation in Keynote and running it there, is just fine.
This situation is kind ridiculous. The thing is by now I could not get any direction to find a fix. for this issue. Overall, I could make Catalina working better on my MBP than Mojave. The least thing is that PPTX slide transition! Damn.

Hope we can figure it out soon.

Cheers and thx

The "halfdim" light of screen not working (when the power adapter is unplugged). Is that normal for unsupported, or have I missed any patch?
Yes that is normal if you unplug the power cord for the screen to go dim as it a part of the energy saver

Indeed, Firewire is another depreciation in 10.15.5. Target Disk and booting are MIA. Since it's a hardware parameter the control is likely in NVRAM or a IOFamily extension. Previous versions other than Catalina should remain uneffected, however.
