Hello, first of all, thank you very much for the excellent work.
I have a Macbook Pro 8.2 with a defective AMD graphics chip.
I installed Catalina as described (dosdude1) and deactivated the AMD graphics.
The problem is that only 7mb graphics memory is displayed for me.
Is there a solution that the intel hd 3000 is recognized in Catalina?
thanks in advance! View attachment 1715567
Re-install patches from booted v.1.4.4 USB patcher will likely correct?

Thanks for the reply! I currently don't have acces to the mac but I will look as soon as I can

Isn't this only for mac pro 3.1?
Driver#### is part of the EFI and UEFI specs so it should work with any Mac but I haven't tried others.

Found my solution (post# 9732). Thank you to @GrimMethos. I was wondering which of these privileges needs to be selected to allow Teams to also generate notifications (such as the response to a message). Would it be 'PostEvent'?
@GrimMethos and @ASentientBot: I'm a bit stumped now. Tried running tccplus (was working fine before) and it's suddenly telling me that the tccplus tool isn't installed.

Attempting to use the download automatically feature results in the following:

I have the tccplus executable. Just don't know where to put it/manually install it. Suggestions?

Somewhere way back on the Mojave thread (10.14.4 or so) there was a lot of discussion about 2048. Good hunting. ?

I noticed an issue with the scroll bar from Google Chrome. It doesn't blend out anymore when I'm not scrolling. I then checked on my wife's Mac which isn't patched and everything is fine with her Chrome. Does anyone know if his is a patch related problem?

PS: In Firefox and Safari everything is fine as well.

Edit: That the scrollbar is not hiding is mostly only annoying when I want to watch Youtube videos in fullscreen. They use the scroll feature in fullscreen and that's where it always shows the scrollbar.

Hi @K two there is no password firmware, I have tried all no boot from usb for reinstall OS
Hmm. As a last resort - Install patcher v.1.4.4 into the /Utilitiesƒ, run it from there. Erase the 16 or 32GB USB2 drive as MacOS Extended Journaled, GUID Partition Map to build a new installer USB from scratch. Make certain to eject any .DMG before re-D/L the MacOS installer and build a new installer/patcher. If that doesn't work, I'm out of useful suggestions. Good luck. ?

Hi have re-downloaded patcher 1.4.4, open .dmg and put patcher inside Utility folder, run from it and when ask me to download iso or browse I have choose browse from a folder (I already have it), refomatted usb with guid map and Macos Extended Journaled, then completed the procedure, rebooted mac, but all is the same no usb holding alt/option.
With last possibilities is try to use usb stick with a firewire adapter (or use directly connected to other mac?).
I need to format my mac because I need to sell it and I can't wipe my data.
If I change my drive with an other there is no possibilities to install a fresh OS from usb ?.
P.S. if I try clone drive the procedure copy all deep data on the drive so there is no difference right?

Put the binary (whereever you like or) into the applications folder. Then invoke it from terminal. On the github project page are all infos you need to run it, also a few examples.

If the USB just made is sound, it will appear in the Startup Disk Control Pane. Select it from there. FYI - Catalina will not boot from Firewire, period.

At last I have solved myself ? I have discovered the origin of the prblem! the usb stick for installation created with catalina patcher and also a clone drive of the system with ccc5 aren't containe the EFI folder in EFI partition, I have simple mounted all efi partition and copied efi folder from system disk to usb stick, that's it!
P.S. also tried same to a cloned drive and macos catalina boot up!
For my super noob experience with mac I'm a genius ?‍??

So, CCC caused all of this? Good to know.

User error caused all this. How is CCC to know that you need the EFI folder in the EFI partition to boot? No macOS ever required that before. Generally, you should know what is needed to boot and be able to recreate that on a new disk manually.

I'm not sure how the USB was created without the proper EFI stuff? Maybe the patcher got confused and put the EFI stuff somewhere else? That would be a bug.

I am not the user and use a completely different backup method than CCC. This unexpected and proposing patcher v.1.4.4 contains bugs is a bridge-too-far without proof. User error is most likely the cause.

Hello Jerryshouse; to increase graphics memory on 8,2 you can read this post: https://forums.macrumors.com/thread...graphics.1766384/?post=19497179#post-19497179
Hope this is what you are looking for the memory increase.

Hey, just installed Mojave on my Mac Pro 3,1 with GTX680 seems to work fine wondering what people’s experience has been bumping this machine to Catalina?
