Hi everyone. I use reminders on my patched MacBook with Catalina and only iPhone XS with iOS 15. When the MacBook is sleeping and I change a reminder, the changes are not synced. When I disable and enable iCloud again on the MacBook it’s working. Anyone else having sync issues?

PS: It’s since the latest update.

AHOY🪓 SilentKnight now allows individual updates to be installed by their label, an extremely handy option.
Would like to know where to download this SilentKnight? Thx

For people using OCLP Catalina with external monitor/display, you can use displayplacer to arrange positions and other settings if your Displays preference pane breaks.

Heya :)

I managed to install macOS Catalina on my old MacPro 3,1 (12 GB RAM) thanks to dosdude1's patcher 😍 However...

The patcher keeps asking me to re-install the following patches:

AyuP5N8.png

I do, reboot and it keeps on asking me. Repeat.

Another thing is that my MAcPro 3,1 is not able to wake up my monitor forcing me to shut down my MacPro with CTRL+ALT+CMD+Eject.

I also cannot get beyond build 19H2. I even downloaded https://github.com/jacklukem/CatalinaOTAswufix/releases/download/1.0/CatalinaOTAswufix.app.zip and wanted to run it but I keep on getting the following script errors:

Bildschirmfoto 2021-10-03 um 11.22.24.png

I even opened the package contents of the app and tried running the command files directly but even there I get the following errors in the terminal:

cp: /Users/admin/*/CatalinaOTAswufix.app/Contents/Resources/Scripts/SUVMMFaker.dylib: No such file or directory
cp: /Users/admin/*/CatalinaOTAswufix.app/Contents/Resources/Scripts/com.apple.softwareupdated.plist: No such file or directory

I'm pretty certain that CatalinaOTAswufix would work if it weren't for the "No such file or directory" errors.

I did manage to update my MacPro 3,1 with SilenKnight to get some additional updates

... but I'm having issues with getting Software Updates to work.

Any help to get CatalinaOTAswufix working would be greatly appreciated 😍

Thx in advance! & regards,

What is build 19H1509? I thought 19H1419 was the latest from a week or so ago.

MBP4,1 (Early 2008) 17-inch successfully updated to Build 19H1509. After update MRT was gone, SilentKnight took care of that. macOS is running smoothly.

Re-run patches and Force Cache Rebuild. Check the Patch Updater in /Utilities ƒ. 🧐

Yesterday I got inspired by <K two> and attempted to install the Catalina Security Update 2021-007 beta on my stock iMac10,1 running OCLP_Catalina by using the CatalinaOTAswufix.app, which did trigger the OTA update. But my iMac could not complete the update for some reason (incomprehension on my part). And after a few more tries my iMac got stuck on a white Apple logo with black background (OCLP boot). So I reinstalled dosdude1-Catalina back to my iMac (without data loss). After that, my system was very sluggish but the OTA worked without rerun the CatalinaOTAswufix.app (somehow the system remembers the changes, or the DD1 did not overwrite that change). I then rebooted back to dosedude1 installation and run Post-Install Patch. It did not auto-pick any patch for me and I selected all but 2 items (same as the ones shown in the dosdude1's installation video). Now my system is back to its previous glory and to my pleasant surprise, it also allowed me to run Messenger app (Facebook) now, which was not possible (crash) in my previous running with dosdude1-Catalina. I am not sure the reason: could be the GeForceTelsla.kext being loaded, or somehow the previous running OCLP has left some remnants (e.g. kext files) which allowed me to run this particular app now. Also the Displays preference pane is back to normal again.
The bottom line is that dosdude1-Catalina is the best fit for the stock iMac10,1 Geforce 9400 (non-metal).
But the same thing couldn't be said to my iMac12,2 Radeon HD6970 (non-metal). This one needs OCLP to run Catalina.

Go to /Library/Updates, delete everything in there and start-over. ;)

Hi. I write because even think I followed all the suggestions in the thread, on iMac 8.1 i can't go over Catalina 10.15.7 H15. I enabled update with CatalinaOTAswufix (update show up in SoftwareUpdate), but even I use SystemPreference SU, command line software update or SilentKnight, update seems to download the software but restarts the computer after few seconds from install process, returning up on H15. I noticed that software update, sometimes propose 2021-005 and sometimes 2021-006. Have someone any advice to go further H15?

It happened to me as well when I was initially on dosdude1_Catalina. I ended up installing OCLP Catalina by following #14,528, and got updated (try CatalinaOTAswufix if no OTA update showing up). I then changed back to dosdude1_Catalina and it automatically showed up the update without even running CatalinaOTAswufix app again.
In regard to the 2021-005 or 2021-006 update, it's the issue of patience: If you wait long enough (say 10min), 2021-006 update will show up, instead of 005.
Please note my method is just a "stab in the dark". I am sure someone else can come up with a better solution with the understanding of the root cause.

See #14,644. Make sure the OTAupdateFix button is applied immediately after the D/L starts. Since the iMac BootROM is unpatched, some form of OpenCore will be needed to see the macOSInstaller. Attached is a tool to do that. Follow the built-in instructions, closely. 🧐
