Hmm. Testing on Mojave just now... it works indeed. Did it work prior to Mojave? I’m pretty sure at one point it did not work; and I might have assumed ever since that to still be the case.

Maybe you just had sort by name or something like that active for the desktop? In that case you couldn't move the files freely, just like in other folders.

iTunes Store Genius recommendations making a comeback?
I don't recall seeing this in a while. I remember when iTunes used to have the sidebar with recommendations, not sure if that is what they are heading towards with this. Will be interested to see when I try importing a library.
The Genius feature has not worked properly in a few years, so I am hoping they will get Genius working as well as it did up till 2014.

How far back we talking? I mean at least as far back as Leopard, if not earlier. Because I don’t think I used dual displays with extended desktops before then, but Leopard definitely worked.

In the new Music.app, can you have Genres on the sidebar like it is with the new TV.app?

In the new TV.app, can you you edit the metadata of iTunes Purchased Movies? and are those changes sync to the tvOS, iOS, TV.app? Can you change the metadata of non-iTunes Purchased Movies?
I'm also curious about this. Especially if the metadata is synced across the TV app on your devices.

Has this happened for anyone else? I don't think Mojave sported the OS and Data into separate volumes in a single APFS container.

This happens to everyone on Catalina. It's a new security feature. The macOS system is on a read-only volume. Everything user is on a read-write volume. - It was mentioned at the Platform State of The Union

What you're seeing is exactly what you're meant to see.
The "Internal SSD" is the OS. The "Internal SSD - Data" is all your user data.
They are two logical volumes in an APFS container. - It is done this way for security. The OS is placed on a read-only volume.

So...in Safari 13, under site settings there is an option to allow or deny "Screen Sharing". I'm not sure what this refers to. Whether there will be a new way to do screen sharing apart from the built in app we currently use, but it's interesting.

I looked at the Safari 13 release notes and it says:

"Added the ability to Safari for macOS to share your screen with others using only web technologies. Plug-ins are no longer required."

Anyone have a clue how this works?

HEIC supported in Safari? For all the hoopla they made it is fascinating that you still can't use it for the interwebs.

Well it wouldn't do so much good if only Safari supported it, and neither Google n'or Mozilla did. Then nobody outside of Apple's ecosystem could access that aspect of the web. If they can't get it into W3 spec, or don't want to standardise it then there's no point adding it to Safari.

Could someone please post screenshots of the updated Reminders.app in action? Embarrassed to admit, but this is my favorite news of the whole release. I use Reminders daily, and don't want to pony up for an expensive paid app. The Apple marketing for Catalina only has a limited amount of screen grabs for the updated Reminders.
