Hey! you should download the patcher 0.0.19, use the unpatch on the USB boot and repatch it with 0.0.19. After reboot from the USB and run kexts.sh comand (the one with \Volumes\ Image...). It will give you handoff and airdrop ;)
Wow, that did it indeed! I used big-sur-micropatcher-dev-v0.0.19-B.

Just for fun I tried MP Version 0.1.1 dev before that, that was a no go.

Thanks!

Glad this worked for you as well!

I agree that it would be useful if the instructions were updated. Perhaps Barry will update soon. I don't if he looks at this website or this thread.

hello @thatsmeonlyme can you send my please a instruction we you have install
with the big sur micropatcher- dev-0.0.19-B.
i have a iMac 27 inch mid 2011.
Thank you
#3,565 is the instruction. For your machine go to threads of Ausdauersportler. he has a special thread for modded iMacs of this generation. Note if you have the radeon 5.xxx and 6.xxx series your machine will be unusable for the lack of graphics acceleration.

Download beta 6 and start the whole procedure again...yes...I know, that's the only way to update to beta 6.

Still no answers to why Wifi is so buggy, like seeing only a wifi networks while there are many more, they will also vanish after a while, can't connect to one of my networks get the "network not found" notification while it's in the Wifi menu.
Lots of network problems.

I have been using Big Sur on an early 2013 MBP with no significant problems - I had replaced the wireless card with a newer one in the past, so I didn't even have any Wi-Fi problem after upgrading.

Unfortunately I'm now running into a weird FileVault-related issue. After creating the USB install media and booting from it, the macOS Recovery environment does not accept my password. I tried changing it from the normal OS, updating the Preboot partition, manually unlocking the disk using Disk Utility and also diskutil from Terminal, nothing. Strangely enough, I can unlock my Catalina partition from Big Sur macOS Recovery.

Of course I could upgrade to beta 6 by disabling FileVault and re-enabling it afterwards, but it's quite annoying. Did any of you encounter such issue? The only reference I could find was on Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/BigSurPatcher/comments/i9z0q0

airdrop should work if you use micropatcher 0.19, in order for your mid 2012 13" Macbook Pro Handoff to work , you need upgraded 802.11ac + Bluetooth 4.2 wifi card which can be found link below.

That's not correct. If you apply micro patcher 0.0.19 you'll have Handoff, airdrop and Instant Hotspot all working. With replacement wifi card (when/if) they launch it you won't need any wifi patch to make it work

I thought so too, but it does not. I was able to fix Airdrop using micropatcher 0.0.19. However, I can't get Handoff to work after all. MBP mid 2012 13"
