I searched but i did not find some well-explained article about downgrading to Catalina, could y'all help me? I can't deal with Big Sur warming up my machine and making it turn off everyday.

MacBook Pro Retina 15" Early-2013.

1. I assume you used the barrykn method.

2. For high temperature, adjust the fans according to the CPU ... and check if it works.

3. To install catalina create a usb boot (google tutorials)

It really is simple & quick. Create Refind USB takes 2 min max. Copy UUID folder from recovery takes 1 min (USB3 32/64Gb stick or even better micro SD card with USB3 converter). Create .plist file. 5 minutes tops!
Ready to boot your Mac to create APFS Container image (on same USB stick) to be able to restore it to any other Mac
There are plenty of people which can't comprehend non standard ways, so yes, not easy for noobs.

But you have seen that we have an OC based patcher, that some systems need OC to boot into Big Sure and the iMac and MacPro users with AMD Polaris or Ellesmere or Navi GPUs use OC to get the hardware acceleration flying.

It is part of the hack now, denying it is like fighting against volume sealing...

Hey. Please accept 1000 apologies, I know this question has been asked more than once on this forum, but I missed it. Please tell me how to open access to Extensions🤦 Thanks.

Read the micro patcher docs and honestly there is a search function on top of this page making it possibly to search for posts of particular users or key words and even limiting the result set to this thread.

Running starplayrx BMO2ac_wifi method on MacPro 3,1 with GTX680 (efi flashed) and BT4/wifiac card from 2014 iMac and only thing not working is Airdrop; it flashed-up a neighboring supported MacMini but when I tried an Airdrop transfer, the partner disappeared and has not been seen since.
I'll post some logs if that helps.

******beta release******
Alright so to be clear these drivers are beta I’m looking for about five or ten people who understands terminal and basic scirpiting to participate. I am announcing today support for Radeon 6x from the MacBook Pro 2011 full acceleration support in Catalina and partial support for resolution and basic features like screen brightness and resolution under Big Sur. I should give alittle background. I am a former developer for AMD and a former employee of intel I’ve been coding for almost 20 years this would not have been possible without madmax or thebighive. I will be releasing the final Kexts on December 15th. Until that point I need beta testers if you message me I’ll forward a link to my Google drive. Please note I am not looking for amateurs. You need basic knowledge of Terminal and scripting. Happy holidays everyone :)

And to be clear the Catalina support is guaranteed and is pretty stable under Big Sur I can’t guarantee you won’t have some kernel panics my kexts are experimental until otherwise told!

On December 3, 2020:

Apple released macOS Big Sur Beta 11.1 Beta 2 (20C5061b) to Developers

I assume you mean this release??? If so, the link can be found using Search at top of this page -- search for 'installassistant.pkg'.
Thanks for your answer!
All the best!

Anyone here have any experience with startosinstall? Is that what was used in dosdude1's patchers for the install to this machine option? I'm hoping to use it in the post install app for updating, but I want to do a reality check and make sure that I'm not jumping out of line here.

Doable using Starplayrx BM02n_legacywifi method (although I have upgraded BT4/wifiac, I could not get the BM02ac_wifi version to complete the download) on MacPro 3,1.
Quite acceptable speed too and wifi is working. No BT or other problems so far.
Thanks Todd.
Hey @nekton1 would you mind giving us a quick rundown of what method you used to install it? I have pretty much the exact same computer as you (2008 Mac Pro 3,1, 2x 3.2GHz quad core Xeon, GTX680 2GB EFI flashed GPU, 32GB RAM, BCM94360CD WiFi AC + BT4 card and the APFS Boot ROM Patch) and am looking at installing Big Sur but this thread has me seriously confused as to what the current best way is. Thanks a million.

Got Airdrop working; just needed the BT pairing setup once.

This is really an interesting project:

Since the iMac Mid 2011 family use the same GPU type (ATI Radeon 6750, 6770, 6790) can we expect that your drivers will work with theses cards and systems, too?

Hello everyone, let's see if you can help me, I have a usb with catalina loader (opencore 0.6.3), for the spelling that I have changed to my iMac 2011, I have configured it with the .plist file for bigsur, but I have a problem, in Catalina I could choose it as a boot disk, but in big sur it doesn't appear in system settings, choose boot disk.
