I'll give it a try. So holding the shift key, get's you into save mode from the EFI boot?

After the system hangs at 40% and you hear the voice over. reboot, hold the shift key when selecting EFI, hold this until it boots into macOS Monterey. Start OpenCore Patcher and select Post-Install Volume Patch. Reboot and your fine.

I've yet to understand if I need to apply the OCLP Post-Install Patch on my 2013 MacBook Air with an Intel HD 5000. Everything seems to work ok, apart from some little graphical glitches around some edges (like others already mentioned) and the disk1s5 mismatch error that happened to me twice already after some time (had to reboot to get macOS fully working again). Do I need to do something else? Thanks a lot guys.

Yes, just create and use an USB installer using the InstallAssitant.pkg as described in the OCLP documentation and on the very first post of this thread. And use the latest nightly build in case you try to install 12.1 beta.

Apple created so many road blocks lately, the course of action is: Always use the latest OCLP before installing a new version of Monterey. Otherwise you may experience failures.

Hi, I installed Monterey on a Late 2013 13" MBP with OCLP 0.3.1, and everything is working fine and faster than Big Sur, which is great. However, today and yesterday, after I left the MBP sleeping overnight, it rebooted when I opened the lid again. This did not happen on shorter sleep periods so far.

Is there any setting or something I can try to fix this? I really didn't want to go back to Big Sur but it would also be bad for my workflow to reboot every day.

So is there a patch for the HD4000 graphics card for Unsupported MBP's like my Mid-2012 A1278 for macOS Monterey? Or should I just stay with Big Sur 11.6.1? And how is the performance of Monterey vs. Big Sur on Unsupported machines been since the official release?

Mr. Macintosh has a couple of videos about that in his Youtube channel.

At this writing the OCLP version compatible w/12.1b is not in MAIN nightly distro but can be acquired, here: https://nightly.link/dortania/OpenC...build-app/rdrand/OpenCore-Patcher-TUI.app.zip and it works!!

Hi, I want to update from Big Sur 11.6 to Monterey 12.0.1.
I remember that there is a safari freezing issue in Monterey.
I wonder if the safari freezing issue is fixed in OCLP 0.3.1.

I have a MacBook Pro 2009 (5,5) with 256gb ssd and 8 gb ram.
I still have the Safari freezing, on 12.0.1 and 12.1b, with oclp 031 and 032 nighlies. Similar MBP as yours.
Using Firefox for now.

no issue on my 5,1 macs but on my MBP 2010 the scroll bar wouldn't work every great once in a while.
No biggie!
(simply restart safari)

how can i update my macbook pro 2014 without fresh install?
simply go right over the top with the monterey update by either clicking "Install Monterey beta" or using the update feature or making a USB installer.
IT will not erase you data but make a BACKUP first!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is there any solution to downgrade from 12.1 beta? My Mac Pro 5.1 updated and can not downgrade in the installer for 12.0.1
for what reason do you want to do that? It seems to be working as good as 12.0.1?
Did you run the patch after installing?

i installed Monterey on my old iMac 9,1 .A big THANK YOU to all Coders who put their brain power into it!
OK no gpu acceleration what was to be expected. But to play around a bit with it its good enough . Is there a way to edit the config.plist without the proper tree editor? It doesn't show anything but black. I could fix BT and WIFI if I could edit the config.
:)

? MacBookPro11,3 is unsupported
You need to use OpenCore of some type. Here is a couple of great threads to start from:

Use this for 12.1b: https://nightly.link/dortania/OpenC...build-app/rdrand/OpenCore-Patcher-TUI.app.zip because it works.

Do steps #1 and 2, shut-down> re-start <option/alt,> get OC boot-picker <control>select OCLP icon, when circular select ENTER, OCLP will now boot the selection from Startup Disk CP. macOS 12.1b should now be ready in S/W Update CP. It installed smoothly w/o intervention.

Thank's yes i downloaded this version of oclp fingers crossed.....
