A reminder - 12.1 had 4 Betas and 2 RCs. 12.2 is now at Beta2. macOS 12.0 had 10 Betas.I don't have that "Details" link because I never opted-in to the beta. I guess I'll wait until GM. Should be out very soon.

Had same exact response upon reading "I guess I'll wait until GM. Should be out very soon." in post #4,138. btw - Running the aforementioned script allows you to choose what you want immediately, including final releases.lmfao
Thanks for the answer K two.If booting into Catalina is necessary, first select it in the Startup Disk CP. If OCLP was installed correctly Catalina will have an up-arrow in the OCLP boot-picker. If not reset NVRAM, option-control-ENTER the big blue OCLP icon when the up-arrow becomes circular when booting has competed, now Catalina can be selected in the Startup Disk CP and should boot. Nothing has been "overwritten" or removed. OCLP doesn't need the dosdude1 APFS Patch and simply bypasses at boot. When adopting OCLP without starting here: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/macos-12-monterey-on-unsupported-macs-thread.2299557/ first, leads to confusion. The SWIPE issue was covered very recently on Discord (highly recommended) Also, https://github.com/dortania/OpenCore-Legacy-Patcher#readme
Discord is a great place to 'read the mail' to see what's coming and to learn the culture. OpenCore Patcher Paradise and unsupported Macs can be valuable sources of useful info, not to be avoided. Thanks for the answer K two.
Both the swiping and the booting has been solved thanks to your response ??.
I really did read the first page and the Github page. I try to search for a similar switch of OS's in this thread and the Big Sur thread because of the (presumed) risk between the 2 patches . That's why I started bugging Roysterdoyster for some advice and assurance ☺️. I thought Discord (was a place for developers so I stayed away from that ?.
Thanks for pointing to OCLP 0.4.0n. I unchecked "Reduce transparency", ran "Beta blur", graphic glitches are gone.Testing OCLP_040N on macOS 12.2b2. Runs as expected.
Yeah, I get that error too. It'll run on my 15" 2012 MacBook Pro when the NVIDIA GT graphics card is enabled, but not when only the Intel 4000 is in use. So for my Anthro New England 2022 panel about 1990s kids' computer games, I created a Windows XP VM using VirtualBox, as that does not have the error, and it runs just as fine for my purposes.Monterey works on MBP2012 13 with Open Core and PatchHD4000 fine.
Only VMware Fusion with Monterey is brocken.
I think its a GPU 4000 problem.
With the MBP2012 15 and the changed GPU, it works....
My 14,1 is running 12.1 perfectly. Its a shame this machine wasn't supported. I am booting from external NVMe, so I sure that helps. The iMac 14,1 is an example of a Mac with hardware that is so close to one that is officially supported
Thank you for your advise and yes it seemed that I have overlooked this fact. But for me, OCPL 0.2.5 GUI works great, at least for my machine Even now, I've just installed the new version of macOS without a hitch. Have a great one!If you had followed this project, you would know the GUI version is currently an active WIP and lacks some features which is why the TUI version is recommended and has been for months. A Discord account might help alleviate discomfort? OpenCore Patcher Paradise has it all.
Agreed, if it's not broke, don't fix it. btw - The new Python GUI is in OCLP_040, coming sooner or later.Thank you for your advise and yes it seemed that I have overlooked this fact. Also fine on MBP5,2.no issues here.

Does the IR receiver show up in the System Report under the USB Device Tree? And is it enabled in the Security&Privacy CP under Advanced? ?I also upgraded an antique IMAC 2009 from Mojave To Monterey 12.1. Everything runs smoothly.
I want to know that the old IMAC has infrared, and can use the remote control to control movist and swinian to play movies and music,
Is there a way to pair the infrared remote control with the IMAC under the Monterey?
The GUI/ GUI offline version of OCLP turned out great. I find it very intuitive and lacking in no way.(...) The new Python GUI is in OCLP_040 (...)
You are serious !? I don't test Monterey but on Big Sur on my Mac Mini 2012 i5 SSD 16Go Ram work great no mistake. And I think it works better than the basic Mini 2014 which is compatible with itSo slowly the project pisses me off. Zero improvement to six months ago! Graphics are still not working properly. Menubar is still not displayed correctly. Control Center is still not displayed correctly. Graphic artifacts in transparent surfaces. It's starting to get annoying.
If half does not work or does not work properly on many devices under 2012, even such a project is of no use. And everything obvious is ignored.
first, yes,IR can be detected by the system and displayed in the system report,Does the IR receiver show up in the System Report under the USB Device Tree? And is it enabled in the Security&Privacy CP under Advanced? ?
