On my iMac 2011 with Metal GPU and upgated Wi-fi/BT card is working everything perfectly! Huge THANKS to everyone in charge of this amazing project!!

Well, just one thing is not working as expected.

When I have GSM call on iPhone, iMac is not "ringing". On iPhone calls on nearby devices are turned on (even the iMac), also iMac FaceTime settings is set. I can perfectly fine initiate GSM calls from iMac (via iPhone), handoff is working, auto switching of AirPods 3/Max is working, so I think it must be just software issue (or settings issue).

Please, any suggestions what I could try? Could signing off from iCloud and signing in again help?

EDIT: It did not help. Could it be the OCLP issue? I am on 0.3.3.

If booting into Catalina is necessary, first select it in the Startup Disk CP. If OCLP was installed correctly Catalina will have an up-arrow in the OCLP boot-picker. If not reset NVRAM, option-control-ENTER the big blue OCLP icon when the up-arrow becomes circular when booting has competed, now Catalina can be selected in the Startup Disk CP and should boot. Nothing has been "overwritten" or removed. OCLP doesn't need the dosdude1 APFS Patch and simply bypasses at boot. When adopting OCLP without starting here: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/macos-12-monterey-on-unsupported-macs-thread.2299557/ first, leads to confusion. The SWIPE issue was covered very recently on Discord (highly recommended) Also, https://github.com/dortania/OpenCore-Legacy-Patcher#readme ;)
Thanks for the answer K two.
Both the swiping and the booting has been solved thanks to your response ??.

I really did read the first page and the Github page. I try to search for a similar switch of OS's in this thread and the Big Sur thread because of the (presumed) risk between the 2 patches . That's why I started bugging Roysterdoyster for some advice and assurance ☺️. I thought Discord (was a place for developers so I stayed away from that ?.

?AHOY! ?Those who use gibMacOS-master - set M. in the command shell to 10.16 from 10.15 or not everything available wiil be offered.

Discord is a great place to 'read the mail' to see what's coming and to learn the culture. OpenCore Patcher Paradise and unsupported Macs can be valuable sources of useful info, not to be avoided.

Testing OCLP_040N on macOS 12.2b2. Runs as expected.
Thanks for pointing to OCLP 0.4.0n. I unchecked "Reduce transparency", ran "Beta blur", graphic glitches are gone.
Re-patched OCLP 0.3.3-patched system with OCLP 0.4.0n, WiFi and Graphics acceleration work perfectly.

Great tip from you, K two.

I also upgraded an antique IMAC 2009 from Mojave To Monterey 12.1. Everything runs smoothly.
I want to know that the old IMAC has infrared, and can use the remote control to control movist and swinian to play movies and music,
Is there a way to pair the infrared remote control with the IMAC under the Monterey?

? Updated to macOS 12.2RC1 OTA atop b2 via OCLP_040N TUI offline variant unattended. Runs as expected.

Monterey works on MBP2012 13 with Open Core and PatchHD4000 fine.

Only VMware Fusion with Monterey is brocken.

I think its a GPU 4000 problem.

With the MBP2012 15 and the changed GPU, it works....
Yeah, I get that error too. It'll run on my 15" 2012 MacBook Pro when the NVIDIA GT graphics card is enabled, but not when only the Intel 4000 is in use. So for my Anthro New England 2022 panel about 1990s kids' computer games, I created a Windows XP VM using VirtualBox, as that does not have the error, and it runs just as fine for my purposes.

Hey everyone! Just finished upgrading my MBP 9,2 mid 2012 non retina to macOS Monterey 12.2 using OCPL 0.2.5 with no issues (like usual using this version of OCPL). Everything works perfect! Have great one!

If you had followed this project, you would know the GUI version is currently an active WIP and lacks some features which is why the TUI version is recommended and has been for months. A Discord account might help alleviate discomfort? OpenCore Patcher Paradise has it all.
Thank you for your advise and yes it seemed that I have overlooked this fact. But for me, OCPL 0.2.5 GUI works great, at least for my machine ;) Even now, I've just installed the new version of macOS without a hitch. Have a great one!

Agreed, if it's not broke, don't fix it. btw - The new Python GUI is in OCLP_040, coming sooner or later. ;)

Also fine on MBP5,2.
Installed OTA over 12.2 beta which was installed with the full installer available in gibMacOS. Using OCLP 0.4.0n from 19Jan with default settings.
Using an external SSD for non-release versions of macOS.

PS - regarding FireWire: I have full installers from createinstallmedia on partitions of an SSD connected via FW. Can boot these installers via FW from an EFI made with OCLP with the FW boot setting. But for patching and running macOS, use OCLP without FW boot setting.

MBP4,1 Early 2008 17-inch successfully updated OTA to 12.2 Build 21D48, patched by OCLP 0.4.0n.
OCLP did all the lifting, machine is running with n o flaws. Performance doesn't seem as crisp as previous versions, but still awesome.

I wish to extend my gratitude to the developers and helpful colleagues on this board for making it possible/ proving insight and great tips.

Does the IR receiver show up in the System Report under the USB Device Tree? And is it enabled in the Security&Privacy CP under Advanced? ?

So slowly the project pisses me off. Zero improvement to six months ago! Graphics are still not working properly. Menubar is still not displayed correctly. Control Center is still not displayed correctly. Graphic artifacts in transparent surfaces. It's starting to get annoying.

If half does not work or does not work properly on many devices under 2012, even such a project is of no use. And everything obvious is ignored.
You are serious !? I don't test Monterey but on Big Sur on my Mac Mini 2012 i5 SSD 16Go Ram work great no mistake. And I think it works better than the basic Mini 2014 which is compatible with it
But it is not certified that it works perfectly on all Macs (Cpu-Gpu-Drivers) in which case restore it System backup. In any case, thank you for all the work done by the Devs "FREE" !!!
Also when I see the amount of Apple materials you have ? this is not a problem ?

first, yes,IR can be detected by the system and displayed in the system report,
but it don't have an option in the the Security&Privacy CP under Advanced,

I guess it should be that there is no infrared in the "newer" iMac, so Apple has removed this option. How to add this option or make it effective?

Hi all,

I have been reading a lot and while I have no issues with my Mac Pro 5,1 I cannot make a macOS Monterey install work on my iMac i7, 13,2. I have tried an external USB 3 drive and a partition on an external Thunderbolt drive. The install process goes into a loop where it sends me back to the Recovery Disk.

Any help would be appreciated.
