Come to think of it, does a 2014 MBP even require post install patch?

Going from beta to public release should have required full download.

Previous times, your OTA are deltas likely because SSV intact. ie. no need for post install patch.
According to Page#1 all MBP 2013 and later are fully supported.

no update from sys pref, restart in safe mode and re-patch...10 minutes

Updated to the latest OCLP and to 12.2 on the iMac 14,1, everything is working great. I am wondering why by default SIP is disabled on this model, I turned it back on with 12.1 and didn't notice any issues.

I did both of these today. Same computer. Same SSD. This was the iMac that arrived to me pretty dead on arrival, with a blown out GPU and dead hard drive. Now I have four OSes on it (these two and HS/Mojave). You know, because I can.

Monterey went first. In patching that and getting the wifi working, I guess that same EFI is running the show for Big Sur's benefits where no patching was needed after the first pass with Monterey.

Each went like a breeze.

It was a big day of updates. Also did the Big Sur 11.6.3 on a 2011 MBP with OCLP, overwriting the 11.6.2, and half a dozen iOS devices and two other older OSes on other computers got their fixes too.

Hi!
How could I get the "oclp 0.4.2 nightly" (Link)?
I haven't found it on OCLP GitHub.
?? in advance

So I just got this update notice. Do I just update? Nothing I need to do during or afterwards with OCLP? My MB is in a good state right now. Don't want to mess anything up. lol Think I'll do a TM backup first.

Thank you! But do you know if 12.3 + OCLP 0.4.1 also fix the OpenCL problem with the latest Photoshop 2022 unfortunately not recognizing the OpenCL acceleration of nVidia GTX (Kepler)? Thanks so much
Unfortunately, I don't know it because I'm not a Photoshop user.
