Hello,
Does anyone have a solution for the standby problem of my cMP 3.1 - Monterey 12.1 - OCLP 0.3.3
Thanks

??.

he already does… suspend the displays that's the problem but not the fans

One should be satisfied that the MacPro 3.1 still works at all. Sleep is not important. Fans are not audible here.
No problems here with 12.2 RC OCLP0.4.1-0.7.7.
Thanks to the OCLP and OC team.

Hi All,

I've having a annoying issue which not sure why.

I have OSX Monterey installed on my iMac 2011 27inch i7-2600, WX4130 2GB GPU, 32GB Ram, 1TB Samsung 860 SSD. Installed using OCLP 0.4.1. It's the same setup I had on my 2009 iMac 27inch i7-860. I just used the SSD, GPU from there and transferred over the the iMac 2011 27 inch.

When the iMac wakes from Sleep it's so slow to use, everything from opening apps, to websites really drag, however when I reboot it's rapid, pretty much as quick as newer Macs, no delay what so ever loading apps to websites. I've looked at Activity Monitor and nothing is using the CPU %.

Done the usual SMC/PRAM etc resets, try another SSD with newly installed OSX and same issue.

Any ideas?

Have you tried disabling FeatureUnlock (see #564)? I've had this on one occasion (iMac11,2, WX4150, macOS 12.01). Disabling FeatureUnlock solved it, along with disabling many 'cool' features. After a clean Monterey install with FeatureUnlock re-enabled, the problem did not reappear...)

Hello.

I used OpenCore Legacy Patcher 0.4.1 (the GUI download), to install Monterey 12.1 on my Mid-2012 MBP 10,1 (first retina MBP).

Main problem at the moment is that the display resolution is very high (2880x1800), I can barely read text. The GUI app had an option to post install root patches which showed a Nvidia thing so I ran that and rebooted. It made no difference.

No other resolutions are shown in settings. SwitchResX doesn't show anything else either.

I noticed the resolution gets changed during the boot sequence when the apple logo and progress bar on screen become tiny.

Is there anything I am missing?

Thanks

never mind, re-applied the post install patches, rebooted again, and it's all good now.

Just ran this without a hitch on my 13" Late 2013 MacBook Pro - identical hardware to the officially supported late 2014 Mac mini so no surprises there, but still nice to see how smoothly the process went.

No glitches to report so far.

I have the same machine; running post install patches and rebooting should fix the screen res thing. It's the HD4000 intel patches that you need though, not the NVIDIA ones; your GeForce GT 650M 1 GB is supported I believe, someone here may know for sure.

I used the TUI version of OCLP 0.4.1. Working perfectly here.

MacBook Pro early 2011 15 inch (8,2) Updated to OCLP 0.4.1, w/ Monterey 12.1. After the post install loads to entry screen requesting password. But goes into loop and doesn't enter operating system, just goes back to screen to reenter password. Is there anyway to fix this?

So far everything works great on my MBP 2014, 8gb, i5 2.8ghz. Haven't experienced any problems, even sidecar is working. Thx to everybody who contributed to the thread, made the install so much easier :D

Yes without ambiguity, I thank the incredible work of all the developers of OCLP who allow our old computers to work. Thanks again to them

Has probably already been reported here, but just posting as it was of particular interest to me..... it appears the OCLP gang have fixed the screen resolution issue on the late 2014 27" 15,1 iMac! This was the thing stopping me giving this a go, so will now attempt an upgrade soon :) Excellent work.

Dear all,
I have an iMac13,1 which ran fine with OCLP 0.1.7 and Big Sur. I have updated with OCLP 0.4.1 to Monterey but I do not manage to boot into the system now. It just gets stucks on the Apple logo with the progress bar at 3/4. I have waited the whole night, but nothing happens. Any suggestions on how to fix this?
Thank you and kind regards

Try rebooting a few times will not hurt. Booting into your install via an efi USB with verified correct OCLP on there may also help.

Thank you, I tried this. Also tried creating a new installation drive, re-installing, and booting with an EFI USB with the correct OCLP. Sometimes I see the mouse shining through the boot screen but it disappears quickly.

Took only 2GB data download and less than 15 minutes to complete....

Sorry to hear, don't have that specific Mac. Hopefully someone else will chime in and help you.
