So, this seems to be a general issue on your machine and /or OS installation, since it's not limited to a single process.
Might be related to graphics patches for older GPUs possibly needed for your machine.
You might try to create a fresh new user account and see whether it happens there as well
I created a user account and it also beachballs.
WindowServer [ERROR] - Unknown CGXDisplayDevice: 0x41dc9d00
error 16:12:09.934473+0100 kernel 1 duplicate report for System Policy: symptomsd(190) deny(1) system-privilege 10006
error 16:12:09.934489+0100 kernel Sandbox: WindowServer(176) deny(1) iokit-set-properties HIDWaitCursorFrameInterval
error 16:12:10.618098+0100 WindowServer [ERROR] - Unknown CGXDisplayDevice: 0x41dc9d00

Do you think it has someting to do with the dGPU being disbaled for graphics switching?

iMovie Termination Reason Namespace SIGNAL, Code 11 Segmentation fault 11

On my iMac (27-inch, Mid 2010) I try to make a project with iMovie but it seems to crash.
I run macOS Monterey installed with OCLP.

See the attachments for the error.

Termination Reason: Namespace SIGNAL, Code 11 Segmentation fault: 11

Is this an error that can somehow be fixed?
Are there settings in OCLP that can resolve this?
Maybe the SMBIOS Spoof Level?

Thanks in advance

Update the GPU in your iMac 2010 - you can have unpatched Monterey and full application support and surely/hopefully no such crashes.

You'll need an older version of iMovie, if you don't want to upgrade your GPU.

I recently posted about a Monterey install with the open core patcher that was getting stuck, I realised that I had not selected the correct mac version in the patcher prior to building the installer. Switching from 12.2 to 12.1 enabled the install to complete successfully.

I've now installed open core to my main ssd drive so I don't have to rely on the usb and now Monterey will not boot, I opted to enable verbose logging and each time the boot gets stuck I don't necessarily see the same message. For example I can see:

[AppleUserHIDEventDriver.cpp:337][0x100000470] Stop: 0x0

I believe this is related to my keyboard, i've tried removing the keyboard but then I just get another error.

Any ideas?

Updated MacPro5,1 from Monterey 12.6 to 12.6.2 successfully. Afterwards I needed new RootPatches in OCP 0.5.2 in order to support my Nvidia GPU again. I have to stay with Safari 15.6.1 since Safari 16 crashes with most websites, Safari 16.1 or 16.2 are no better. The crashes appear to be related to Javascript.

Well taking the plunge and updating my Mac mini mid 2010 to Monterey was able to get installed after installation and first boot hello screen comes up and when you hit the forward arrow it freezes for a minute then goes to a gray screen and seems to be stuck there…multiple installs same thing….it did take multiple hours to install and got stuck on the less then a minute remaining….but installsucceeded….now all this slowness I have a feel is due to the core 2 no supporting aes….anyone run into this and what did you do…back in the day in leopard there was a way to boot into command prompt and execute a var setup done command which bypassed setup assistant after install is that still a thing? I attached a photo this is the screen im suck on after you hit the forward arrow on the screen that says hello in different languages.

Hello, was wondering if anyone has similar issue, I have installed monterey on imac 2009 and everything works great except I cannot mirror or airplay to apple tv or sonos, I was able to previously on high sierra natively, Is there something Im doing wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I also have big sur running on 3 other 2009 imac and same problem.

Leaving High Sierra behind you left also some features only supported on more recent macOS versions by different hardware, like AirDrop & UC (needs BT/WiFi upgrade), AirPlay (needs different dGPU or better metal iGPU), Metal (needs metal dGPU), etc.

There are some third party software products offering similar features without hardware upgrades, free teleport for UC etc. The big search machine is your best friend here.

P.S.:
AirPlay to AppleTV remains broken even with an updated dGPU on Monterey as far as I can tell. Worked with all new AMD dGPU until Catalina.

About the dGPU change check the link in my signature.

Anyone else seen this?
Since this weeks update to monterey (I also got a separate safari update). Safari is very slow on youtube. Its also started showing no google results in the dropdown which I remember from a previous update that got resolved.
Even typing this in is excruciatingly slow.
v0.5.2 of the patcher. macbook pro 9,2. All root patches applied.
thanks

MBP4,1 17-inch Early 2008 - Successful update to 12.6.2 via OCLP 0.5.3n of today. - No issues so far, cannot confirm Safari being snappier.

Well I can say literally Monterey can be installed on a potato......Macbook 6,1 2009 Geforce 9400M runs like a charm.....I thought this machine was destined for that big but bucket in the sky. Now it has become my couch surfer lol. Thanks to the community for the hard work......Still blows my mind the most that this runs on decade plus old hardware......Unbelievable!!!

You could do a secondary partition and just have both. Doesn't hurt especially for those one offs where you need native features from high Sierra....

Same thing, MacBook Pro 10,1, OCLP 0.5.2, dGPU disabled (dead 650M), using HD4000 with NVDAResman and NVDAStartup kexts loaded to enable screen brightness control. Not sure, but GPU might be somehow relevant to this issue.

Safari 16.1 is almost unusable on YouTube. Disabling all extensions and clearing cache doesn't change anything. Disabling YouTube's "Ambient mode" (as I saw someone suggested) also doesn't help. Switching quality down to 360p helps a little, but CPU usage still stays high. And there are many sites that started to use too much CPU, it's not just YouTube.

Invisible Google results in the dropdown can be fixed with custom CSS:
CSS:
body, input, button {
    font-family: "Arial Unicode MS", sans-serif !important;
}
The default Google's CSS uses Arial and sans-serif, and Arial is a problem. You can just remove it in CSS (in Safari Web Inspector) or change to any non-existent font name like Arial123, and search results instantly becomes visible. There is a /System/Library/Fonts/Supplemental/Arial.ttf file in Monterey 12.6.1 (and Arial font is listed in the Font Book app) but it looks like Safari can't use it properly. Another possible fix which doesn't require use of any extensions, might be:
Bash:
ln -s /System/Library/Fonts/Supplemental/Arial.ttf /System/Library/Fonts/Arial.ttf
But I haven't tried it.

UPDATE1: Fixed by updating to OCLP 0.5.3 and reapplying root patch.

UPDATE2: This issue was already addressed here:
github.com/dortania/OpenCore-Legacy-Patcher/releases/tag/0.4.11
It looks exactly like this:

Weird issue on Mac Pro 4,1 usbs don't function if plugged in while booted to the desktop. But If I shut down and plug in the usb device and then start Mac Pro they work fine. If I unplug that usb and plug back in they stop working until I reboot anyone run into this? Its all usb devices that I've tested so far. Latest open core installed....Tested in high Sierra and unable to reproduce the issue and work fine so I don't think its hardware only a problem in Monterey.

That’s a known issue for USB 1.1 device (usually for HID i.e. keyboard). The work around is to connect the device via a USB 3.0 hub.
