The Patcher does not work for me on my 8,1 MacBook Pro running High Sierra. I can build the patch just fine, then install it to the EFI of my thumbdrive or internal drive (tried both). It wont let me boot into the OS through the OC patch. It boots normally then proceeds to load with the white apple logo on black screen and the white progress bar underneath. But then the progress bar hangs at about 80% of the way each and every time. I've tried with SIP enabeld and disabled but does not make a difference.

Reverted colours are okay, but you can’t boot High Sierra with OCLP. You should boot installer on USB.
Download installer of BS/Monterey make bootable USB and boot it with OCLP.

Apple!

И простого использования этой ночной сборки OpenCore-Patcher кажется достаточно, чтобы доказать, что macOS 12 работает так же, как Big Sur.

Hi. I can fix slow boot on my MBP 15" late 2013 11,2 ? I have a Samsung 970 Evo+ on my Mac .

How is scrolling and animation performance compared to Big Sur?
EDIT: mid 2011 (not mid 2012)🙄🙈

For me, on my mid 2012 27” iMac, Monterey has ran a lot better than any version of Big Sur.

My experience is that it felt like Mojave. I stayed on Mojave as I thought GUI performance in Big Sur was poor on my old MacBook Pros. I'm running Big Sur on my M1 mini and it's fine but it's an M1. I also tested Big Sur on the 2020 iMac 27 and performance was fine. It seems like you need a good GPU to run Big Sur and that this has been fixed on Monterey.

My booting success rate has improved with OCLP 0.2.1. Still the occasional hang but developers doing an amazing job!
My 12,1 iMac did the same on beta 1, it would boot and when you should see the login screen, it would actually hang on the Apple logo for almost a minute. Then finally get to the login screen.
I was never sure if it was the beta, OC or my k2100m.
I’m going to be updating it to (21A5268h) tonight and updating OCLP from 0.1.9 to 0.2.2. And see what happens

That’s the way I was with Mojave and Catalina on my 2009 Mac Pro. I always felt like Mojave ran better. I am hoping to get Monterey on the 2009 cMP if it stays running this smooth

I wiped my Monterey partition (which had been running quite well), thinking I'd try an 'unsealed' install of the OS this time. However, the old 0.51 BS micropatcher will only modify the Installer files if you rename the drive and app to Big Sur. That did boot but stuck just before displaying the Monterey install window. Is the only current option for trying 12.0b1 to use OCLP and end up with an encrypted/sealed OS...whether you like it or not?

OTA update to B2 failed with OCLP 0.2.1 (reason unknown, stuck three times at the same point) and succeeded then completely smoothly unattended (while I was cooking dinner) after changing to OCLP 0.2.2 (reason unknown, too).

The iMac11,3 2010 with RX480 is rock solid during the normal usage, I do not reboot every day unless I do updates, it never fails, it never reboots.

Even with my recently upgraded CPU (X3470) it is quite happy.
