The issue was with the binaries, the source doesn't force download the latest if binaries are present.
I deleted the repo and did a git clone of the repo and all worked as it should
I have the same problem, I need to install AMD Legacy Polaris graphics, it gives me the error "An internal error occurred while running the Root Patcher:"
How to solve this, can you explain how you did it step by step? thanks

Stop working, how to do it, I don't understand how to make it work?
Then I think you misunderstood the post you referenced. Are you building OCLP from source as was the case in the post you referenced? If so, you probably shouldn't be. If you're not building OCLP from source (again, you probably shouldn't be), what version of OCLP are you downloading and trying to use to patch your Mac?

I apologize if I posted the question in the wrong place, I installed sequoia beta and OPLC 1.6 beta, and then the problem mentioned, this error appears and the patch does not install, I know they are still beta versions, but is there any way to overcome this!

@skiarte Use a Released version of OCLP - not Beta... and if you are testing Sequoia, you are correct, you are in the wrong thread.

EDIT: OCLP Beta is not yet ready for full Sequoia patching. Move your Sequoia questions to here after you review the posts from others.

My recommendation to use a Released version of OCLP was based on your post in the Monterey thread (I assumed you were attempting to install Monterey, which does not need an OCLP beta version). If you are testing Sequoia Beta and you can't wait for the OCLP Release (not yet available at the time of this post), then you will need to test with OCLP 1.6.0 nightlies. At the time of this post, the OCLP nightlies do not yet offer full patching support for Sequoia. Good luck with your testing.

Less luck for me. I’ve got a MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2014), and just installed 12.7.6, and now it won’t boot. This is with OCLP 1.5.

As with the other updates, need to boot into safe mode to repatch the root partition. Only thing is the Nvidia driver. I do this, then on the next boot gets to about 30%, stops for a bit and reboots.

No error messages, just reboots.

I can boot into safe mode, but can’t boot normally.

got same machine like you - you need to let the update restart twice, then safe boot, apply patch and restart into normal boot

nothing has changed, OCLP 1.5 works fine on this incremental update… I made a mistake and didn’t wait for the second reboot, it seemed stuck :)

Monterey security updates are dead (13.7 and 14.7 are out). As expected. But missed opportunity for Apple to extend it longer for the Intel Macs that cannot get Ventura. On the up side, 15 will run on Intel Macs. So at least another 3 years of security updates for us OCLP folks.

Hiya, I have a Late 2014 iMac, [32 GB 1600 MHz DDR3; 3,5 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5; 1TB SSD] and keen to upgrade to Monterey via OpenCore patch. Can anyone advise on known problems or am I good to go? Thanks.

DELETED Migration process failed due to doing it as part of the setup process. Didn't pay attention to that part!

Edit: Another problem!
Monterey booted OK and I booted again to get the bluetooth working as usual but OCLP seems to have changed something not present in my earlier config (manually config OC) - The magic mouse works but cannot scroll. Bluetooth cannot be turned on, even though the bluetooth mouse is partly working (cursor plus left-right clicks).

Well this problem definitely was caused by OCLP. I reverted the patches, replaced the EFI with my self configured one and mouse /bluetooth functions are back to normal. Maybe I dont understand enough abourt what OCLP is doing but I assumed it knew as it did everything seemingly automatically and there are no related preferences I can find.

@kkinto This may be tedious, but diff'ing your config.plist and the OCLP-generated config.plist may offer clues. Also examine and compare kext versions in your EFI and the OCLP-generated EFI.

EDIT: Another thing for you to consider: Migration Assistant will fail if you attempt to migrate to a volume that has OCLP post-install patches applied. You must migrate to your destination volume BEFORE applying OCLP post-install patches to the destination volume.

You can also just uninstall root patches, use the Migration Asistant, and then reintalls them. This is also necessary for cloning with CCC, for example.

Hello, during the Montereybl installati on, this screen appears on the first reboot
iMac 2010
OCLP last version
Quadro K2100M

Any suggestions?
Thanks for your time

Greetings everyone

I'm thinking of updating my cMP3,1 to 12.7.6. It's currently running 12.7.4 and is still on OCLP 1.4.3, too.

With that in mind, what would be the step by step process to update?

For instance must I update OCLP in order to install 12.7.6 or could I just run 12.7.6 installer from within Sys Prefs?

The reason I'm asking is that I had read that OCLP 2.x.x was a little bit buggy.

Thank you very much
Philip
