None of my Macs made the cut for Mac OS 12. I was really hoping the mid-2014 rMBP would get officially supported for one more release though running High Sierra (will probably soon reluctantly move to Mojave) I'm in no rush to test out Monterey. It's nice to know that some are working on finding a way to run it on these old Macs.

Success report: Mid 2010 21.5" iMac 11,2 with NVidia Quadro K1100M (Kepler) graphics and Broadcom BCM943602 WLAN card! Upgraded to Monterey 12.0 from Big Sur 11.4 with no hiccups whatsoever.
OpenCore v0.6.9 / OCLP 0.1.5 setup, no changes made at all from OC setup for Big Sur.
Downloaded the InstallAssistant.pkg, got the Install Mac OS 12 Beta .app installer out of it, then ran it from within Big Sur like any other Mac OS installer. Rebooted a a few times (be very patient, it took a while on each step on my machine, and the reboot timing is quite different from Big Sur) and in due time it rebooted to my login screen, running Mac OS 12.0 Beta. Even the windows that I had open while starting the upgrade were still there.
Graphics acceleration, WiFi, USB, Bluetooth, all working. Didn't check Ethernet yet.
The UI looks almost identical to Big Sur, BTW.

Hello everyone, decided to push very basic Monterey support in OpenCore Legacy Patcher to a new branch on Github. You can find a prebuilt .app below (you must be signed into Github, otherwise a 404 will result):
This build includes support for all the new models recently dropped like the 2013-2015 series as well as all the machines we previously supported. Note that HD4000 and non-Metal GPUs should not install macOS 12 as currently many experience boot-loops. We're still investigating

That's really impressive. I need to get it off my laptop onto my desktop. I started a network copy and it said 3 hours.

Can macOS 12 run on MacPro1,1/2,1?(I think these machine can replace SSE4 processor by adding microcode in firmware)
If you can get the machine to work with an upgraded SSE4-capable processor, then maybe. No one so far has succeeded in getting that CPU upgrade to work yet. Maybe you'll be the first!

For anybody wondering: At this time, I am planning on creating a brand new patcher for Monterey. I plan on using a fully native approach (IE not using OpenCore), and supporting only Metal-comptible systems (2012 and later, plus older systems with upgraded video cards). If this ends up being a huge pain I may reconsider, but as of now I will start working on a patcher within the next few weeks.
Thats fantastic news. I am currently running a 5,1 Catalina with your patcher and zero problems (I did the airport card upgrade). I also have a 3,1 running sierra server for 3 years trouble free.

For fun, I also tried the GTX 780 as an external GPU on the 2014 15" MBP (disabled the 750M).
Pretty simple to get the 2014 15" MBP with 750M running:

Worked fine (Lilu-based patch injected via OC), although displays connected to the eGPU didn't work. AMD eGPUs will work fine (even with external displays, if 750M is disabled).

SSE 4.1 is an absolute requirement for 10.12+, which is why these machines are stuck to El Capitan at most. I don't think it's possible to get an SSE 4.1 processor working on these machines but I'm more than happy to be proven wrong

No problem at all with NVMe.

What works and what doesn’t? There’s a whole group of Mac Pro 5,1 users that had issues with 11.3+ so curious as to your experience with Monterey. Seems like it’s still hit or miss with some people.
