Now you can see why they are a bunch of liars and cheaters (VirusTotal and others).VirusTotal flagged 0.2.5 opencore-patcher file, https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/9a9a0048596ebac25d09eaa648669bc3492236115f95d28fe9d0e0cc97604c8e
Also OCLP-CLI,
Any truth to the above? I hate to believe we're all infested with malware...
Yes, I assume a clean and not patched B6 installation will be a good start.Ok, but reading the OCL instructions first I have to reinstall the same Monterey Beta 6 with OCL before updating to Beta 8, that's correct ? About the post install patching, yes my iMac has an NVidia GT755 ( screenshot attached ) Appreciate your help
Of all the Monterey Betas - B8 installed the smoothest. Staying relevent and off the wayback machine makes a comment more useful to others less tenured.?If that is the case you know how much easier updating was, a LOT more convenient than macOS is now.
No, it used to be the case at a much later time when Snow Leopard was the hit of the day. That was 2011. Lion brought additional complexity and redundancy and it's been snowballing since.• Finder 5.3, System 3.2 ? Running an Unsupported Mac teaches patience and tolerance. ?
Same here on an MBP5,2. With Safari 15.1 on beta 8 as well as with 15.0 on beta 6.Safari freezes consistently after a while on my iMac12,2 running beta 8. There is no crash report on this issue. It can be revived temporarily by quitting and opening Safari again.
update1: the same issue occurs on my iMac10,1 as well, another consistent error.
update2: It seems the freeze issue happens on Safari 15.1. After changing to 15.0 (in General), it is more stable now. So far it has not frozen up, and feels more fluent.
just like to report back that 15.0 also freezes up, albeit less severe (reopen previous tabs without going through the history menu). And feels more snappy than 15.1.Same here on an MBP5,2. With Safari 15.1 on beta 8 as well as with 15.0 on beta 6.

Staying relevant...huh, you said "smoothest update, yet.", guess what, by NO means, I explained why, Updating is a mess nowadays, it was sooooo much better back then....period.Of all the Monterey Betas - B8 installed the smoothest. Staying relevent and off the wayback machine makes a comment more useful to others less tenured.?
Crashes galore, these are the worst beta's ever, I know what I get into....betas so I know bugs are inside, it's just a lot more than other versions before Monterey. The B8 is running well on my iMac12,2 except 2 persistent crash report:

Nope, not an OCLP (0.3.0) issue, it happens with all Monterey beta's on my Mac Mini.P.S - don't work sleep mode, bug of OCLP 0.3.0NB
It's happen on 11.6 too, on older 0.3.0 all worked fine, later i try to revert to 0.2.5 with SurPlus fix and vmm flags.Nope, not an OCLP (0.3.0) issue, it happens with all Monterey beta's on my Mac Mini.
Not only that, it's a fairly known problem for Apple to do right, has been for a long..LONG time.
We have the same machine but mine has Nvidia Quadro K3100M GPU. Updated to Monterey Beta 8 but i did not encounter the issues that you have. If your signature is right, then you are using the stock non-metal GPU which might be the cause of your problem. The B8 is running well on my iMac12,2 except 2 persistent crash report:

Dock crashes, sleep issues, problems updating, reading comprehension seem to be local issues. Not seen here. ??Crashes galore, these are the worst beta's ever, I know what I get into....betas so I know bugs are inside, it's just a lot more than other versions before Monterey.
For instance, Dock still crashes multiple times a day as it already does since the first beta.
OCLP_030n ran fine until 26 Sept., then the 'sudo purge' bug arrived. Reverted to OCLP_025 release version to repair. Beta 8 nice, given hardware limits. ?It's happen on 11.6 too, on older 0.3.0 all worked fine, later i try to revert to 0.2.5 with SurPlus fix and vmm flags.
Yes, I assume a clean and not patched B6 installation will be a good start.
From there you can upgrade to B8 and apply the new Kepler post install patches.
Have such issues here also, already filed a ticket in Github. Just answered/closed this minute now. Now, from OCLP 0.2.5, every time I install an OCLP (0.3.0 Night Build), the Mac asks me to Login to iCloud; so, Time Machine asks me if I want to associate the previous Backups "to this new Mac".
Can't this be avoided? Is the function introduced by OCLP with an alphanumeric string regarding the Firmware really essential? Bye and thanks
Last reply, my understanding of English is near to perfect, you might check yours.Dock crashes, sleep issues, problems updating, reading comprehension seem to be local issues. Not seen here. ??
