Been having problems installing Beta 9 and Beta 10 on my 5,1 CMP. Downloads ok but installer just keeps restarting and then changes reboot disk goes back to the old monterey install disk. If i force to boot the installer partition via OC boot picker it just loads for a bit and then restarts. I already have VMM turned on via OC. Previous monterey versions have installed no problem only started happened with beta 9

2012 CMP
OC 0.7.4 with SurPlus
I don't have any issue after Beta 8, I used OCLP 0.2.5 successfully installed or OTA my cMP 5,1 Mid 2012.
You should try OCLP 0.2.5.

MBP 9,2: Updated to beta 10/21A5552a via software update. Download 10min. Prepping 30min. Installation went rather quick 15min. Reboot did stop halfway. No signs of any progress. Pressed/held power button and rebooted again. Booted normally. Applied patches using OCLP 0.2.5. Reboot. Done.

Thank you!

Did someone successfully install the latest beta versions (8 or 9) from an external disk for NVIDIA Kepler?
I have a 30% freeze on the apple logo, that is, the installation is complete but there is no image. This is due to the Kepler architecture, but I still don't understand how to patch the internal partition if the system boots, please tell me. :(
Maybe should install the second Big Sur system on the internal memory and apply the post-install patch in it?

Try to boot in save mode and apply the post install patches as described here

Starting with Big Sur does not help, there you do not need any post install patches since Kepler is fully supported with Bit Sur and this will unlikely ever change.

The latest Monterey beta version has number 10. After every update you will need to apply the post install patches, again. The system update is overwriting all changes made by patching. So patches will not survive a system update.

Thank you, and I will now download beta 6, install it as the last one working for Kepler and try to experiment with your method, many thanks again! I still do not understand how to apply patches after installation if there is no image on the display, but I will try. Sorry for the inaccurate translation, my English is not at the best level. :)

Is it better to remove patches then update everytime or is safe mode the better option? I’ve been using safe mode for me.

I've just finished installing beta 10 on my rMBP 10,1. Full 11 GB download, I assume because SIP disabled by post-install patches(?). After it was done installing the login came up in hi-res, but no external monitor. I was expecting this. So I reran OCLP options 1,2 (build, move to internal drive) and 3 (post install patches). Restarted and AOK

I agree with the person who said they noticed increased speed and smoothness. Very nice. Brightness function keys are working for the internal display.

You get only the full installer size updates because you altered the system with your post install patches. It will happen now all the way down, again.

No more small delta OTA upgrades for patched systems.

Hello, I have been trying to install Monterey on my macbook8,1 (MacBook retina 2015) using OCLP, with no success.

1. I made a bootable drive with the macOS 12 beta 6 installer (tried with beta 5 with the same result)
2. patched it with OCLP GUI 0.2.5
3. booted from the EFI
4. selected the macOS 12 installer
5. launched the update from over Big Sur

But halfway though the install, I have the message "An error occurred loading the update", and it stops there.

Any ideas?
Hi,

I have exactly the same issue with the 8,1 MacBook Retina 2015. I also tried with my drive erased, same issue ...
I have not find any solution at this time (Beta 10).

I have just updated my cMPro 4.1>5.1 from Monterey Beta 9 to 10 (21A5552a).

Updating process has been normal using OTA UPDATE under OCLP 0.3.0 (last nightly version). Four Progress bars and some black screens as usual. About 25 min the whole process. It seems to be smoother than beta 8.

My issue is: I have no Bluetooth again after the OCLP fix in previous versions. The wifi is working.

I have rebuilt the OC config with OCLP, but it didn´t work.

EDIT: My BT card is BCM94360CD

EDIT 2: Problem is solved after installing OCLP nightly version 0.3.1 today oct. 16th

2012 Macbook air upgraded just fine to beta 10 using 0.3.0.
On the other hand, my poor old white mackbook from 2009, also updated but there is no Bluetooth, not even using the terminal command to kill it and restart.

Legacy bluetooth support is broken, again. Only BCM94360xx and an few Broadcom USB products are known to work.

macOS 12 Beta 10 installed on iMac late 2012, installed since Software Update.

At the moment everything works just as well as beta 9.

OpenCore 0.3.0
You don't happen to have Lightroom Classic and Photoshop running on the patched device and can say something about the performance? Which graphics card is installed in your device?

I tried these options, nothing worked. ((
I will try to install beta version 6 in which there is a Kepler and update through the settings. :)

I hit a snag, just when it was going so well. I ran data migration assistant. It completed and rebooted. Boot stalled. Gave it a couple of hours, no movement. Forced a few more cold reboots, same thing.

Big Sur volume boots fine. Monterey hangs. Also tried holding the option key on reboot, selecting OpenCore EFI > Monterey beta volume, hung at the same point.

I can reformat the volume and reinstall. Before I do that, any ideas?
