He meant the search button in System Preferences for Display, not the Spotlight search button.
The idea is to try clicking on the right side rectangle in the Display preference, Have you tried that?
Hi davidlv . . .

Thank you. I'm feeling pretty stupid here though. This is all I've got . . .

Hi guys, cheers. I have a problem with a 2011 iMac with Ati 4670 video.

The issue is that when I open Microsoft Word everything works fine, except when I select any text within the writing, since it is overshadowed in a gray or black color, depending on the light or dark theme of the computer.

The situation is that it prevents seeing the selected text, as an absolute stain on the selected text.

I have tried several things, I disabled the movement and transparency, which improved the performance of the equipment, but it continues to present that error in word.

Any ideas?

Had the same issue on a 2011 MBP. Tried the published workaround using the Microsoft_Office_16.49.21050901_Installer found on the MS page;
But that only worked so-so. Finally upgraded the OS to Big Sur running OCLP 0.5.3 or later to get a usable system.
Big Sur is available here;
Bon Voyage

He meant the Search Button on this site... 😇 I'm not the first one to post a screenshot of "Displays" to give you an idea where to click. Sorry, should have added the left column as well...

Try to click the bottom black bar at the right hand side.

Actually, every once in a while my wife keeps forgetting not to allow Office to update. Last week I noticed that the problem has disappeared on her MBP 6,2 (2010; Monterey; Word 16.69.1; OCLP 0.6.1). Can anyone confirm that? Is this Monterey only?

Apple updated Ventura to v.13.2.1.

Was able to update my Late 2013 rMBP from 13.2 to 13.2.1 with Software Update, after I updated OCLP from 0.6.0 to 0.6.1.

On boot of 13.2.1 all I had to do was run the boot patches for Haswell and reboot, done automagically by OCLP.

Posting this from the said upgraded machine ;)

Note: Weather app still crashes on launch, I suspect it needs Metal 3 features (for the fancy schmancy weather effects) to run properly.

Try this:
1. Use Disk utility (View Menu/Show all devices) to initialize the USB with the name Untitled, HFS+ GUID.
2. Copy the OS installer file to the Applications folder
3. Open Terminal and run:
sudo /Applications/Install\ macOS\ Ventura.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/Untitled
4. Wait forever (depending on the system and the USB itself, it can take hours)
5. After the Install USB is created, run OCLP and install to disk, choosing the USB of course.
If you still get an error in the early part of the erase process, try that terminal command again soon.
If you still get an error, the USB is suspect, and you will have to try using another one.

13.2.1 - MacBook Pro 13 (early 2015). Everything looks good :)
That's great. I just updated my iMAC 15,1 (late 2014) to Ventura 13.2.1 build 22D67 using a full installer download from the Mr.Macintosh page. After the install finished, OCLP 0.6.2n poped up the Root Patch prompt and I started that. It downloaded a KernalDebugKit for Ventura build 22D49, so I was worried that the patches would be outdated, but everything seems to have worked OK. Do the developers update the OCLP patcher with new KDKs after Apple brings out an update? I assume that the new KDK is not available yet, but I am not sure. In any case the system seems OK.

Okay, so I reinstalled everything. Did it the very same way as before. Now look . . .
I've got my Sys Settings visible at least but the Installer keeps popping this message up at me. I've "obeyed" three times now but it keeps coming up every time I Restart or Shutdown. The 3rd time I did this, I took the USB out of the loop. Same result. ??

Now that the Menus in the System Preferences are showing it seems you are making progress.
Try running the OCLP app again, but ignore the prompt for Root Patches and select the "Build and Install Open Core" selection. Then install it to your main System disk (not the USB). Reboot and hold down the Option key to get the Boot Picker. Then after booting up run the OCLP app and do the root patches again and reboot.
Did that help? I have a very similar MBP 8,2 from late 2011, and found that even Monterey put a lot of strain on the older computer. Eventually I installed Big Sur with OCLP and found it better than Monterey, but it still ran hotter than it should. Using MacFanControl set to use the sensors set to CPU proximity and 45/90 degrees helped to keep the fans working but a little quieter. If Ventura doesn't settle down, you might try Big Sur.

On the right side of display under system preferences use your tab and spacebar key to select 3rd black square (if mouse click works use your mouse) and you will get a drop down window for screen selection. Then select unkown display. This should help. See screenshot below

No problems with weather app on my iMac 2013, MM 2014, MBA 2015 and no metal MBP 2008 with Ventura 13.2

OTA updated my cMP5,1 to Ventura 13.2.1 (22D68) from 13.2
Everything seems fine again after patching (for metal on legacy AMD gen 1).

Tested: BT, Wifi, GPU/metal, multi screen support, Time Machine (backing up), networking / shared volumes (AFP, SMB), stage manager. Weather app running fine, btw.
