After installing 13.3 (0.6.2) and then updating to 13.3.1 (0.6.3n), video players do not work when trying to play .mkv. Apps crash with an error.

Same Issue here and no video files at all , even youtube is not possible .. Keka is crashing randomly :(

Macbook Pro Early 2013

Macbook Pro 12,1 (early 2015) with Ventura 13.2.1 and OCLP 0.63

Microsoft Teams does not work, it crashes right after the start. Does anybody else has the same issue?

** EDIT - a reinstall of Teams fixed the issue.

I've sailed relatively easy with previous DosDude's stellar work and patches, but now stuck on Catalina, MM 2012, looking for a way forward.

I have no idea how flaky or solid things are since Catalina. I have read one encouraging positive report from another 2012 MM user in the first page, but yet to further venture the entire 195 pages, yikes, er, I suppose if anyone could help clarify, should I aim for Monterey or Ventura upgrade?

Hi guys...

I´ve running my MacBook Pro 13 late 2011 with ventura 13.3.1 and OPC 0.6.3 and everything works amazing, well almost. Myy color profile is stuck in sRGB IEC61966-2.1 and it is imposible to change it... Do you know what can I do? I tried to reset the NVRAM, create a new profile, reinstall the operation system (not from a scratch, because I don't want to reconfigure the machine again).

I've been searching on the web and here and I couldn't find anything. Could you give me some help?

Is it safe to update to 13.3.1 on a 2022 MacBook Air? Running the latest release version of OCLP? Any feedback please?

MacbookPro 11.3 Ventura13.3.1
I updated OCPL to 0.6.3
All also do not work programs that use metal(Nvidia).(Photoshop, VMware Fusion, Parallels)
Although the Changelog says it's fixed.
Hi
Same issue here, try this one, Disabling 3D acceleration got the Windows VM to boot.

You can try to apply the following workaround to disable Metal API:
1. Make sure the virtual machine is not running;
2. Open the control center and click on the cogwheel;
2. Go to Hardware > Boot Order > Advanced Settings;
3. Paste the following system flag:

video.metal=0

4. Start your virtual machine again.

Hope this temporal solution help you using it.

It's currently not possible to change the colour profile on Macs with the HD3000 GPUs, our current workaround to the known "black boxes" bug breaks the possibility to change profiles. If you really need to change the profile you can try to downgrade to Monterey or something older...

MacBook Pro 11,3 15" Retina late 2013 from Ventura 13.2 to Ventura 13.3.1 using OPC 0.6.3
All ok so far ....
1) Upgraded efi (Build and Install OpenCore) on internal drive running Ventura 13.2 using OPC 0.6.3
2) Created 11.3 GB installer on external USB
3) Ran installer without external monitors (so graphics card not in use? maybe not necessary?)
4) rebooted into 13.3.1 on internal drive - no issues
5) reinstalled post install root patch
6) rebooted with 2 external monitors, all good

I had a bit of an issue. My SSD in my MacPro has been having issues. I have made a direct clone of the SSD with CCC of the Data partition. Once that was done I then reinstalled Ventura. Before making a copy I rolled back the root patches. After starting up the first time into Ventura I get the notice from Open Core to install the root patches, which I do. It moves through the process and then at the end I get an error:

- Unable to build new kernel cache

Reason for Patch Failure (71):

Error Domain=KMErrorDomain Code=71 "Unable to resolve dependencies: 'com.apple.driver.AppleHIDKeyboardEmbedded' names a dependency on 'com.apple.iokit.IOHIDFamily', which was not found." UserInfo=(NSLocalizedDescription=Unableto resolve dependencies:

I've tried rolling back the root patches again and then tried to reapply them. Removing and reapplying them works on the old drive which this drive is a clone of in the data partition. Would rolling back to a previous version of OCLP resolve the issue?
Did you solve this issue. I am having the same problem. Thanks.

Macbook Pro 10,1 Updated OCLP 0.6.3 just now on Ventura 13.3.1.

Spotted issues:
  • MS PPT still crashes if in presenter mode;
  • Safari tab content crashes randomly;
  • Notification Center won't show up with iGPU, but works with dGPU;
  • dGPU not stable, google earth crashes in heavy usage.

Powerpoint version 16.71 in presenter mode crashes for me too.
MacBook Pro 11,3 15" Retina late 2013 Ventura 13.3.1 using OPC 0.6.3
Same here, Most apps that are currently crashing, looking at the logs seems like metal related issues similar to the VMs. AMFI is still disabled in 0.6.3

Until OCLP’s Developers fix all issues related to Ventura 13.3, you can try using the PowerPoint 16.29 build which is Metal independent and works fine even on older Macs with Catalina and the dosdude1 patch.

Unfortunately, even with stable 0.6.3 in 13.3.1, the video player still crashes. Report attached

Successfully installed 13.2.1 on MacBook Pro mid 2014 (11,1)
OCLP 0.6.3
Everything works after Post Install Root Patch.
Will stay with 13.2.1 for now.

Thanks to all the devs and contributors of OCLP!!!

There is a way I use that works but its very dangerous!!!
If you have cloned/backed up your files, Open disk utility in Recovery mode and erase the (system) Volume ONLY!!!!!!!
Do not erase the Data volume!!!.
Then reinstall 13.2.1

Note: This can be very tricky since you will get mutiple dialog promps asking what to do.. READ carefully!!!!
Attention! What you suggest can be done and I too thought I had... “discovered America...” :) But you run into various types of problems. In my case Time Machine refused to backup because it saw TWO "Macintosh HD - Data". I could have formatted TM, but I preferred to go back to 13.2.1 installing completely from scratch; i.e. formatting the entire System disk and restoring Data after completion from Time Machine backup, using Migration Assistant.

I have tried again on my iMac 5K late 2015
Ventura 13.3.1 + OCLP 0.6.3 release
I still have the same issues with videos, Live Photos, HEVC. in Photos.app
Xcode also produce a lot of errors
Unfortunately, it's not usable as a daily driver.

I have a strange behaviour after upgrading to OCLP 0.6.3. and Venture 13.3.1
Command X is quitting every application.

I am owning a MacMini 7.1.

Update: I reboot and the behavior was gone for about 3-5 minutes. Then back again.
Update2: I noticed that there are more Command <keyboard key> affected, e.g. Command arrow down.
It seems as if every Command <keyboard key> that has no dedicated function in the app is causing the app in the foreground to crash.
Update 3: I changed the keyboard to a USB keyboard, previously it was a Bluetooth keyboard. Same behavior.

This bug is a showstopper for me!!!!!!
