Clean install Ventura via USB with OCLP installed, wipe the internal SSD, then install the macOS (iOS is for iPhones and iPads), use the Migration Assistant app after the OS install. For some older machines, Monterey or Big Sur may work better, Ventura is very complex. In any case make sure you have your data backed up! Use CCC is suggested for that.
I wonder if he stayed on an older version of OCLP instead of updating it before upgrading to Ventura?

I currently have OCLP O.6.3 installed on a Mac Mini 3,1 (Mac Mini late 2009) with macOS Ventura 13.3. When I go to 'Software Update' I do not see an available update to macOS Ventura 13.3.1. I'm hoping someone could offer some guidance as to why this would be the case and how to address this issue, if possible.

You could always download through OCLP or from here:

Just curious I know krytonite was made open source in the hopes that olcp developer would integrate it into olcp for Thunderbolt one and two eGPUS does anyone know if it was ever implemented into opencore legacy patcher to support eGPUS on Thunderbolt 1 and 2?

I still can't run either Parallels or VMware on macOS 13.3 (22E252) with OCLP 0.6.3 final release
I'm still on 13.2.1 on an i7 MBA 6,1. I updated to OCLP 0.6.3 release yesterday and now am getting key command app crashes and Fusion gives the pipe error. I was going to attach screenshots here but navigating to them crashed Safari ;-). [Update: The screenshot below appeared on its own after posting].

Going to try to reinstall 0.6.2 now.

0.6.2 reinstall succeeded. Fusion still broken. Arrow keys working so far.

More Fusion info here:

VMWare will not work if AMFI is disabled and OCLP 0.6.2 and 0.6.3 disables AMFI by default, go into OCLP Developers Settings and deselect Disable AMFI then re-install OCLP and you are good to go.
BTW: This is only applicable for 13.2.1.

Ok folks,
just updated to 0.6.3 .. App Preview came back to work fine with every extention BUT (damn'it) now Youtube doesn't work in any browser, Wmware Fusion continue to refuse to start the vm, and it's impossible to use camera and microphone with any video app (skype, google meet and so on) because apparently they didn't succed to ask permission to the system (Settings > Privacy > Camera/Microphone is empty).
Tomorrow I'll try to update to 13.3.1 hoping something will be back.
Regards
Ale

Thanks, I see the setting. I guess I hadn't fired up VMWare Fusion for awhile ;-)

Before proceeding I need to review if re-enabling AMFI breaks anything, but that's the "normal" state of the OS, yes?

ÀMFI is the cause, if you are still on 13.2.1 just install OCLP 0.6.1 and don't update to 13.3.1

13.2.1 and OCLP 0.6.2 (reverted). Still getting paste text errors with Messages. But I can paste text into Finder, Text Edit, Safari no problem.

Tried to copy text from Messages crash log to here, crash log crashed upon copy, ha!

I see if I right-click to paste into Messages, all is good. It's the keyboard combo that's bad.

Firefox crashes with Command-t or Command-v. Right-click paste is OK.

I've sailed relatively easy with previous DosDude's stellar work and patches, but now stuck on Catalina, MM 2012, looking for a way forward.

I have no idea how flaky or solid things are since Catalina. I have read one encouraging positive report from another 2012 MM user in the first page, but yet to further venture the entire 195 pages, yikes, er, I suppose if anyone could help clarify, should I aim for Monterey or Ventura upgrade?
I am on Monterey on my Mac mini 2012 for over a year and it has been rock solid so far. I also follow all the development of Ventura for unsupported Macs in this topic. Because the Mac mini is my daily driver I stay on Monterey until Ventura is more stable than the current state it's in. My hope is that Apple doesn't put too many new features in Ventura anymore so that the fantastic OCLP team can make it as solid as Monterey.

Successfully installed 13.3.1 for a non-metal iMac10,1 with OCLP_063 and an OCLP generated installation USB flash drive on a newly created internal Samsung EVO860 SSD partition. The installation was very smooth that it booted up with the root patch applied automatically. Ventura runs very well for my needs (basic stuff), thanks to all the developers for the excellent work, particularly the non-metal part of the development.
Also like to point out that the same installation to a Samsung external T5 SSD always failed at the second installation phase never completes to 100% (“An error occurred preparing the software update” message appears with less than a minute remaining!) with the "macOS Update Assistant" window in the background. The external T5 has multiple partitions and I've tried to Erase/Add/Merge APFS multiple times which did not make any difference: it always failed at the same spot (time consuming as well because it took long time to get to that point). Not sure if it's partition related or AVX2.0 related issue. But the fact that Ventura installed successfully to an internal SSD indicates this issue may be partition related.

So OCLP 0.6.3 dropped last night. Thanks DEV team!

So I've updated the MacMini 6,2 and ran the Post Install Root Patch.
Preview works, MSTeams and Zoom works with an external USB Logitech wecam but PowerPoint in Presenter mode still crashes.😥
Wonder if I should update it to 13.3.1 then?

Edit: Answer is NO.
I updated the iMac 15,1 and ran the Post Install Root Patch.
Preview works, MSTeams and Zoom doesn't allow internal camera. PPT in presenter mode still crashes.

So the full release of 0.6.3 didn't do anything to change my situation (from the nightly builds).

If I could get PPT in presentation mode and MSTeams and Zoom to work with the internal camera on iMac15,1; I would be good.

The best situation I have found is in my iMac 12,1. That's running 13.3 and 0.6.2. For everything I need to do, it runs flawlessly.

With 12.3.1 and OCLP 0.6.2 reverted from 0.6.3 on MBA 6,1, I'm having sudden weird issues as described earlier, including crash warnings after quitting apps (because I am using the keyboard shortcut, which causes the crashes).

I don't think going to 13.3.1 is going to give me less issues, maybe I need to go back to 0.6.1?

Also, I ALWAYS have issues ejecting external hard drives. It's usually QuickLook hanging things up, but right now I saw this:

I still don't understand why OCLP moves itself to this App Support folder, that seems very odd.

Moved OCLP back to Applications, deleted the App Support version.

Still on 9.6.2, re-enabled AMFI, rebuilt OpenCore, rebooted.

Fusion now opens, oddly AMFI is disabled again somehow?

Whatever works... I'll see if the key combo crashes return.

Some people used to set Feature Unlock to partially enabled to work around memory errors like that

13.3.1 on ext USB ssd, OCLP 0.6.2 (internal ssd AMFI disabled) to boot everything, 0.6.3 (root patches AMFI disabled), Mac mini 6.2 everything works well, Powerpoint 16.72, Apple TV, all video players, Alfred 5, Kodi, Blender, Premiere, FinalCut, Photo and preview all formats. Thanks to all devs for the wonderful job.
About the rest (continuity camera, Paralles MT and VM) I don't know cause I don't use them.

This should fix apps not appearing under camera and microphone privacy settings.

try other Command <shortcuts>. In my case they are causing the application in foreground to crash unless the application has an application specific command to the related shortcut.
e.g. Safari command x , or command up arrow ....
