Hi,
I also have updated my iMac late 2012 to ventura 13.2.1 with OCLP 0.6.3, but have issues with teamviewer and zoom app - both applications crash on startup ...

I have a bad feeling updating my OCLP version to 0.6.4 and also installing the lastet root patch, because last time it endend in a boot loop...😖

Hmmm… my Parallels macOS VMs won’t start, even if the hypervisor is changed from Apple to Parallels: so, the fact that AMFI is disabled outright prevents those VMs from starting…
Have you tried bluestacks by any chance ? Wondering if that will work on 13.3+ .
Thanks (or if anyone is willing to try BlueStacks please ) Thankyou.

Crash reports are not collected by OCLP, though this may be implemented in the future (don't quote me on this), potentially by opting in.
OCLP 0.6.4 release notes appear to imply that 0.6.4 crash reports will be collected (in the future) unless opted-out. At least that's my understanding:

Not questioning you, Jazzzny, since you would know better than me. Just pointing out that the readme may be implying one thing while reality may be another.

Not good. On my Mac , I have always 3 partitions, 2 for os, one to work one to test the new install and 1 for applications and documents. I think you have to re-install your OS. Apply my organisation for the next time.
This sounds interesting. Would you please be so kind and explain this procedure a bit more detailed for dummies. A step by step tutorial may be? I wonder how to access the app & docs partition from one of the OS partitions and if that all works with FileVault being activated...

Update:
I have meanwhile added a second volume to my Mac with disk utility app and installed MacOS 13.3.1/OCLP 0.6.4 there while my regular volume still runs MacOS 13.2.1/OCLP 0.6.1 because I need AMFI for Parallels. FileVault is active on both volumes but I can still access data and apps of each volume from the other volume. So this is indeed a perfect setup for testing. Thanks for the helpful input.

Back up and running create a new OCLP Ventura USB installer with 13.3.1 and did an in-place reinstall. Everything went smoothly and whatever the problem was has been resolved.

Now running 13.3.1 and OCLP 0.6.4 quite happily.
Glad you're back up and running. I experienced a similar issue when upgrading from 13.2.1 to 13.3.1 on my MBP6,2. An in-place reinstall of 13.3.1 did not fix the issue in my case. If 13.3.1 doesn't work properly after an upgrade and an in-place re-install of 13.3.1 doesn't fix the problem, this solution may work for you.

The iOSish Ventura installed without drama, all apps functioned as expected with the exception of many of the macOS security features which resulted in the decision to wipe and pave that partition. Clearly, OCLP is not yet ready for serious use, although it is an impressive hack, nevertheless.

HE'S BACK! ;)

Edit (see below): Bluestacks is for running Android apps (as in WSA on Windows 11); I tried it some time ago, but haven’t used it recently.
I installed Parallels 18 on my MM7,1 2014 running 0.65n. Installation of win11 went fine - so no problem with AMFI disabled. But my Fusion vms donˋt run.

This is indeed disturbing, but I assume that the drawbacks are (temporarily) acceptable, otherwise the developers would at least have provided a disclaimer and warning. From various experienced nerds (blogs, YT channels, etc.) I have never heard of any vulnerabilities related to OCLP. I would say, ok, this guy is hyper-cautious and there's nothing wrong with that, but seeing that you don't even have FileVault enabled puts everything in a different light... ;)

I'm considering upgrading to 13.3.1 with OCLP on my 2014 mini with the same specs. everything was working well? I've been staying on 13.2.1 for now since there were some issues previously reported.

Other than installing the Haswell post-install patch, the overall performance and stability is equivalent to 13.2.1. FileVault is engaged once the installation has passed inspection. The hack was wiped before that could happen.

What do you mean by that? I don’t use FileVault so are you saying it turns on automatically?

^^^ In my case (MBP11,3, 13.3.1, 0.6.5n), it runs fine with Windows and Linux VMs (and the Parallels hypervisor), but macOS VMs still won’t start: so, there is probably something with the Apple hypervisor and/or Apple VMs that requires AMFI to be enabled (and probably that’s also why VMware Fusion and VirtualBox still won’t start VMs). Not a big deal, anyway: let’s simply wait for the next AMFI/LV fix…

Hello, I don't use firevault, so I don't know how do it work. I think it is a high level of security, I don't need it and I thing it's not a good idea to add this with our old Imac an OCPL.. I will create a youtub to explain my config and how to do it.

Hey Guys just use 13.2.1 and enjoy every fix needs to be fixed slowly,

i have seen guys used Catalina and Mojave for audio production and still use to this day,

As long you used Facetime Continuinity Camera Icloud and some Apple service from them ventura is not option,

concerning vmware and parallel you have older version like previous member said

first thing first let Apple Programmers take care of Intel Library then developer will fix their job not vice versa

and remember one thing if you buy Mac Pc with M silicon you get lifespan of 5 years support for hardware is limited and another angry Intel Mac user who is pissed of with their policy

you watch out

Regards
Igi

BTW, the future and often rumoured 15.5” MacBook Air looks as a good M2 upgrade (at least, for “prosumers” like me: with a large screen, but thinner and lighter than the bulky 16” M2 MBP): so, let’s see if it will be presented at the next WWDC (together, of course, with macOS 14, which will be an interesting release: in theory, they could drop Intel this year - but still with one year of Rosetta 2 included - if they also release the new Mac Pro; in practice, probably another year or two of Intel support)…:)

hello OCLP lovers,
I am facing an issue where I’m stuck in the boot process of macOS 13.3.1 @ OCLP 0.6.4 on my iMac14,2 (2 Partions with latest Monterey/Ventura): whenever I do a reboot or after booting into Monterey and then want to boot Ventura again the progress bar keeps stuck at 50% (shortly before the sys wd start UI and the login screen).

I can only use option-key during boot chime and manually select Ventura partition, then it boots correctly and starts the login Screen 📺.

Anyone has this issue too? Any ideas or resolutions?

Thank you,
Joachim

For the world of me, I cannot get OCLP installed onto the EFI of my internal SSD.

I have installed it repeatedly, but the iMac 10,1, will not take it.
I have to boot the machine with the OCLP-USB stick.

Late 2009 iMac 10,1 with SSD

What is the solution, please?

MBP5,2: tried to update from 13.4b1 to b2.

OTA loading (11.4 GB) and preparation of the update went well but the system couldn't restart for the next installation phase. Hang with processes apparently stopped, desktop cleared but keeping background photo.
That was the case with OCLP 0.6.4 release as well as with 0.6.5n latest, on internal and external disk.
Also, ordinary shutdown of running system didn't proceed, same type of hang so forced power off.

Didn't really matter as the system remains bootable and running with 13.4b1. I'll probably wait for a 13.4 InstallAsiistant.pkg and install from USB.

Question - I didn't find back where the OTA downloaded Ventura is stored after load/prep. There is only very little under /Library/Updates. If you remember, please let me know so I can delete files and try again.
