OCLP 0.6.4 + 2012 Mac mini 6,2 + Ventura 13.3.1 = success

I did have to reformat the drive and start from scratch (I am away from home all month, but brought my mini specifically for this upgrade) as I got the verify/repair error. Other than that everything seems to be working fine and once I migrate from TM when I get home I expect everything to be perfect.

ETA: I did have to Amazon a new keyboard as for whatever reason my Corsair K70 keyboard just would not work sending the Option (or any modifier keys) during boot. A cheap Macally keyboard worked immediately.
Does your Powerpoint in Presenter mode work?
Mine is in exactly the same config as yours but Presenter mode ***** itself.

Apologies, I've slogged through various threads and not found a solution.

I've upgraded my 11,2 Macbook Pro to Ventura and while pretty much everything is working fine, Preview shows a grey window and most annoyingly Topaz Photo AI does the same showing a blank program screen. I'm guessing this is an issue with the Iris 5200 graphics I have? Strange thing is the window appears to render properly briefly before being overlayed by the grey/whatever.
Regarding Topaz Photo AI – That's not the kind of app you want to run on a 2014 computer... I have a 2013 MBA and while it does work there, it is painful slow. On the M-series Macs it flies.

Older Topaz apps are more usable on Intel (Topaz Studio, etc.).

I’ve skimmed though a bunch of recent pages and it seems unclear to me. I’m on 13.2.1 with OCLP 0.6.4 on my 2014 macmini. Is running the newest 13.3.x whatever the newest OS update is (non beta) safe to do? I saw there was initially a few things broken so I’ve stayed in 13.2.1 for now but if things are working, I’ll try updating to 13.3

Suggestion: Create a second partition on your SSD, install your preferred build and test it. Once you are happy with the performance you can migrate the user.

From my own experience, 13.2.1 was working well with 0.6.2, 13.3.1/13.4b work well with 0.6.4. No issues, apart from a few icons not being rendered properly in system preferences in 13.3.1/0.6.4

Was clean install to Ventura 13.3, with 0.6.3. Preview apps doesn't work. Microphone access doesn't work. Then upgrade to 13.3.1, with 0.6.4, Preview apps work, but microphone access still not work.
So, revert back to 13.2.1, with 0.6.1, everything worked.
Now my question is, if I go up to 13.3.1, or 13.4, can I use 0.6.1? To keep everything work? Or do I have to use 0.6.4?
OK, I tried. No good. So everything back to 13.2.1 and 0.6.1

Macbook Pro 15" Mid 2014 2.5ghz i7 Intel Iris Pro/Nvidia GT 750M

Ventura 13.2.1

I currently have my EFI built from 0.6.1 , if I reapply only the root patch with 0.6.4 one , will I've my AMFI disabled ?
or because the EFI is built with 0.6.1 I'll have my AMFI enabled and get the newest root patch with it ?

Thank you.

why don't OCLP include a patcher to remove unsupport apps and Garbage features for unsupport models??

OKEY i think we all have to be positive since developers have exact bug line to fix with their reporting tool WHICH YOU USER MUST SUBMIT!

NO MATTER which VENTURA VERSION you USE ALSO APPLE MADE FIXES IN 13.4.1 beta release so wait and see they have also their problems since their developers focus more on M silicon devices,
NOTE:
and oclp project will have bright future someone from developers told me that once apple ditch this KERNEL INTEL OS THEY WORKING TOGETHER WITH LINUX DEVELOPERs TO BE ABLE TO USE

all benefits from Linux and Unix Api

CROSS SIDE PLATFORM SO EVERYBODY CAN HAVE TASTE FROM MAC OS PAST HISTORY

AT THE END EXAMPLE YOU INSTALL 2024 in your intel Pc Catalina or Let Say BigSur it wont be Important as long you use same apps or services

Facetime and Messenger ,Findme will still work on This machine i think as long you have Valid subscription

Only customers will choose use Silicon or Intel which for me is stupid logic speed and getting job done are more relative as Einstein Said

My friend who bought M silicon machines are already have problems with huge process rendering and SSD EXTREME WRITE SPEEDS ON THESE MACHINES AND CPU ARE PRONE TO FAILURE FROM HEAT,One CPU DEALS WITH ALL HARDWARE LAYERS,

Also a lot of other Intel Vendors Rise the price of laptop bigger then Apple which we can say that crisis in material exist

happy Oclp !

Stay on 13.2.1 by now

OCLP 0.6.4 includes crash and analytics reporting. It can be disabled with

defaults write com.dortania.opencore-legacy-patcher DisableCrashAndAnalyticsReporting -bool true

Does this option to disable crash and analytics reporting also exist in the OCLP GUI?

Just noticed the AirPlay (eg. to HomePod / AppleTV) does not work for my K3100 iMac12,2 with original BT&WiFi. Not sure if it's a known problem though?

I just succesfully installed Ventura on my iMac (see spec in signature, with standard graphics, wifi & bluetooth). There is no Airplay option within the Sound Settings menu on my iMac although it is present and working very well on various speakers via my MacBook Pro. Is there a known issue specific to mid-2011 iMacs?

To add, I can select Airplay as the output in Apple Music and have the iMac Airplay successfully via that method. But I would prefer the global option to send all sound output to Airplay for other sources (i.e. other apps such as browser, Audacity, rekordbox, etc).

I also found that there are no Airplay devices in the Airplay picker in YouTube on Safari. And in Apple Podcasts app there is no sound output picker from which I can switch to any Airplay devices (unlike in the same app on my MacBook Pro).

Here's my Sound Setting on MacBook Pro where all is well:

stay at 13.2.1 until AMFI is sorted out, I’ve seen at discord comments developers are making some progress, so stay tuned.

Hi guys...

I´ve running my MacBook Pro 13 late 2011 with ventura 13.3.1 and OPC 0.6.3 and everything works amazing, well almost. Myy color profile is stuck in sRGB IEC61966-2.1 and it is imposible to change it... Do you know what can I do? I tried to reset the NVRAM, create a new profile, reinstall the operation system (not from a scratch, because I don't want to reconfigure the machine again).

I've been searching on the web and here and I couldn't find anything. Could you give me some help?
I have exactly the same problem runnung MBP 8,1 (Pro 2011) with OPC 0.6.4 and Ventura 13.3.1
There was no problem with OPC 0.6.1 and Ventura 13.1.1 before

Would be great I someone has a solution

Cheers, Klemo

Thank you. This was the straight forward answer I was looking for. I have an external drive I intend on installing Ventura to in order to perform testing before upgrading.

Hello @ll. Using latest OCLPn build 0.6.5 on my testing Ventura 13.3.1 system:

Fixed:
i) Powerpoint v.16.72 presentation crash.
ii) Parallers v.18.0.3 worked without neeeded to add video.metal=0 parameter anymore.

However still crashed - causes app to quit:
i) Oracle VM VirtualBox 7.0.6
ii) Adding or replacing an image in Pages app.
iii) Clicking to change photo size in Photos app.

Many thanks to Developers !!!

MacBook Pro 11,3 15" Retina late 2013 Ventura 13.3.1 using OCLP 0.6.5n

Powerpoint version 16.71 in presenter mode NO LONGER CRASHES

Parallels 16 windows 10 vm NO LONGER BOOTS TO BLACK SCREEN and this is without the "video.metal=0" work-around

After shutting down either my Ubuntu or Windows 10 Parallels vms a report window pops up "prl_vm_app quit unexpectedly." Find attached error log.

Great Progress here!!

Hello,

Have a question about the camera issue reported here many times with a bit different error scenarios.
I have a 2011 iMac 27" and with Ventura 13.2.1 and OCLP 0.6.1 first and 0.6.4 now. The camera works in a strange way - it gives the picture always in FaceTime, but black screen in other apps (Photo Booth, Safari, etc.). However if I have such an other app running with no video from camera, if I start in parallel FaceTime, the video comes back. Then I can close FaceTime and keep using camera in the other app in a normal way.

Is it the workaround it is supposed to be used or is it something specific to iMac 2011 or maybe there is some better way to get the camera working?

Yes, the option is called Disable Crash/Analytics. You can find it under Settings --> Developer Settings.

Imac 27 late 2012/13.2/IvyBridge=6.4-13.4 beta 2. Probably the smoothest update ever, a wonderful change from the month of waiting after the last thoughtless(on my part) jump to be on frame. Thanks again to the Devs.

Airplay issues are there. I also see you donot have metal graphics in your imac which may create issues with your graphics.

Hi again, with all the reports coming in of success with 0.6.5n, I took the plunge to update the MacMini6,2 and the iMac 15,2. Both machines can now :
a. Open PPT files in Presenter mode (without ******** itself_
b. the Preview issue which was resolved in 0.6.4n and beyond is also seemingly a memory.

I've also tested some of the other reported issues in previous posts:
a. Apple AirPlay in Apple Music works as expected

My issues now centre on the internal microphone and camera pm on the iMac15,2 in both MSTeams and Zoom as shown below. Both do not work.
The external Logitech USB on the MacMini6,2 works fine.
