MBP4,1 Early 2008 running Ventura 13.3.1 via OCLP 0.6.5n.

Severe Issue: Sleep mode/hibernation mode do n o t work. ->kernel panic with relation to NVDIA graphics (see Crash report below)

Changing values for sleep or hibernation mode via Terminal cmd "pmset" have no effect.

Would the developers be so kind to look into the problem, please?

Help is highly appreciated.

Crash report:
I don't think we'll be able to fix this problem any time soon (possibly never). My suggestion is to disable sleep or downgrade to Monterey if you need working sleep.

Early 2014 Macbook Air, used OCLP for Monterey 12.X. Had to update to Ventura (via native software update) in order to run the latest Xcode build.

Having issues with 'display unknown', unable to adjust brightness and lost function keys F1 and F2 for brightness.

Can someone advise on what I should do, or if anything can be done?

Thanks in advance.

You probably missed the post install patches.

Is it any option to downgrade macOS system without swipe full disk?

I mean, maybe delete some system folders you can force the process to back 13.2.1 without loose anydata as we can do when update the system

Thank you very much @educovas.

Updated OCLP to 0.6.4, built and installed Open Core to EFI. Reboot, post install root patch and all working again.

Display recognised, dimable, Mac sleeping on lid closed and screen switching off. F1 and F2 brightness controls now operational. Machine is running much much smoother also.

Thank you so much for your point in the right direction. You're a star!

Updated OCLP to 0.6.4, 13.2.1, built and installed Open Core to EFI. Reboot.
Post install root patch keeps failing???
MBP 6,1
I forgot the trick for this.
Any help would be great!

Trouble repatching a MBP 6,1 w/ oclp 0.6.4 and ventura 13.2.1.
Patching keeps failing.
Any help would be great!

Lots of failure modes. Might help if you post the error. When I try to apply 0.6.5 Beta post-install patches on Big Sur and Monterey patched with OCLP 0.6.3, I receive the following error. When I reboot, 0.6.3 patches are still installed and work well, so I haven't tried to debug. Is this the error you are seeing? I don't see this error when I apply the 0.6.5 post-install patches in Ventura 13.3.1. My SMBIOS model is MBP6,2.

yes I get the same error and so I unpatched and then rebooted and when I repatched it fails...
Any fix??

I haven't tried to fix, since 0.6.3 post install patches work fine for me in Big Sur and Monterey. I see this error only when attempting to apply 0.6.5 patches to Big Sur and Monterey already patched with 0.6.3 (I don't see it in Ventura). Would also be curious to know the fix if anyone has suggestions.

Hibernation failed with 13.4 b3 and 0.65n on my MBP 5,1. Went back to 0.64 and hibernation is ok again.

Hibernation set to 0 on an iMac 15,1 - no issues.
Latest 0.6.5n has GPU issues running OCLP, with a white flash after clicking on any setting menu.
Reverting to 0.6.4 resolves that issue. Powerpoint Presenter mode works (surprised about that, If I recall correctly, it didn't at one point).
@MacRumors3590 , have you tried using (Github) MountEFI to mount and erase the contents of the EFI partition, followed by a reboot and using the Command+Option+p+r key combo to clear the NVRAM?
Then reinstall OCLP 0.6.4 (latest release) and try the Post Install patches again.

Did the PRAM but will try removing oclp contents of EFI. Thanks

See the OCLP instructions;
Be sure not to delete the whole folder, just the contents.
This worked for me quite a while ago, can't remember what OCLP version that was, but I do remember using a USB boot-up drive to reinstall OCLP. Good Luck. The mountefi script/app works well and is easy to understand.

Went back to 0.6.4 but that does not help for sleep modes on the MBP4,1 - same outcome as with 0.6.5n.

MBA 6,2 Mid 2013 8GB - Adata 1TB - OCLP 0.6.4

Just upgraded from unsupported Monterey, no issues there.

All works fine, sleep is fine but hibernation won't work: Opening lid or pressing the power button does nothing. Only workaround is a long press on the power button to do a force restart.
It's a deal breaker since this is a laptop and I need hibernation mode...

Don't know if this has anything to do with it, but in OCLP during Ventura install, when I needed to select a drive, I didn't see any (USB nor SSD) in blue, to indicate from what drive Ventura is booting from.

Any suggestions? Didn't find anything useful from before in this forum...
Thx!

Hello,

Have a question about the camera issue reported here many times with a bit different error scenarios.
I have a 2011 iMac 27" and with Ventura 13.2.1 and OCLP 0.6.1 first and 0.6.4 now. The camera works in a strange way - it gives the picture always in FaceTime, but black screen in other apps (Photo Booth, Safari, etc.). However if I have such an other app running with no video from camera, if I start in parallel FaceTime, the video comes back. Then I can close FaceTime and keep using camera in the other app in a normal way.

Is it the workaround it is supposed to be used or is it something specific to iMac 2011 or maybe there is some better way to get the camera working?

just want to say that I have exactly the same issue -,- iMac 12,2 + K4100M

Well, there seems to be a way to do this:

… That is: after booting from the USB flash installer, open Disk Utility and erase only the System, not the Data volume; then, proceed with the macOS installation, which should leave the Data volume intact and downgrade only the System volume. In this case, there probably aren’t yet any apps that require 13.3+, so downgrading to 13.2.1 should be acceptable. Haven’t tried this: proceed at your own risk…! :)o_O
