hi @deeveedee is Unit/UI test working without issues in Xcode?
and can you debug the attached process?
I'm sure there are use cases that do not work correctly. My use of XCode 14.3 in Ventura is currently limited to building kexts, building objective-c libraries (for linking in Visual Studio 2022) and publishing apps. No XCode 14.3 unit testing (yet). For my purposes (so far), I'm not being limited by OCLP-patched Ventura.

Note that I have a MacMini8,1 that is my primary Mac, so my MBP6,2 is an extension of what is currently a fully-supported Intel-based Mac.

Installed and running perfect with OCLP 0.6.5 on Late 2015 iMac 21.5" 1080p from external Thunderbolt 2 SSD with TRIM support enabled.

Thunderbolt 2 SSD is a LaCie Rugged I picked up from eBay and swapped out the HDD for SSD. Previously used the 3.5 powered LaCie TB HDD with SSD but the activity light was intense, and revision 2 with the rugged doesn't need external power.

I did run into an issue where keyboard shortcuts such as cmd+v, cmd+s etc would crash an application. Rebuilding OCLP and disabling FeatureUnlock fixed that.
Hello, I have an imcas 16.2 and the exact same thing happens to me. how did you solve the problem? Any adjustment in OCPL?
Thank you.
Sorry for my English, I am Spanish and I have used the Translator

Is anyone using Citrix Workspace App successfully with OCLP patched system?
I have an iMac 11,1 and a MBP 8,1 with 13.3.1. After log in CWSA just shows me a grey screen.

MBP5,2: 13.4RC (22F62) installed OTA over beta2 on internal SSD. Using OCLP 0.6.5 release.
Installation smooth, system running well.
Hello. I saw on the macrumors page that you have one MBP 5,2. I also have a macbook pro 5,2 and I want to ask you something. I installed ventura with opencore but I noticed something that I don't know if it only happens to me. The spinning wheel don't animate, still frozen and I don't understand why. Did the same in your Mac? Thank You

Yes, it is the same here.
I remember that quite a while ago (Big Sur or Monterey times) ASentientBot, a main developer of non-Metal patches, said that this spinning wheel would stay non animated. As it is cosmetic, it wasn't worth the effort.

Not sure if this is related, but I had boot problems with an older release of FeatureUnlock.kext on my MBP6,2. I'm not sure if it was version 1.1.2 or 1.1.3. My solution had been to disable FeatureUnlock.kext. I did not spend any time trying to debug, but I did confirm that boot problems with the older version of FeatureUnlock.kext were easily reproduced and resolved by disabling the kext. With version 1.1.4, I am no longer having any boot problems with FeatureUnlock.kext, so I no longer need to disable it.

Hello There!
I have a MacBook Pro 9.2 Mid 2012 13''
Its Specifications:
CPU:i5-3210M
RAM: 4GB (I'll put 16GB soon, if not 8GB!)
SSD: 512GB
Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 4000 1536 MB

I want to install Mac OS Ventura using OCLP.
I know the current version is 0.6.5, who tried it? Lags? Does Wi-Fi work? Bluetooth? Trackpad? Keypad?
I just can't figure it out in youtube! Would love to get your opinions! Is it worth installing it?
Thank you guys!

You could run this command on terminal: sudo defaults write /Library/Preferences/.GlobalPreferences.plist Moraea.EnableSpinHack -bool true and it should animate. It's not perfect but might be enough if you care about that

I have used older versions of OCLP to try Ventura and it works.

The lag was unbearable even on everyday operations. It takes 3 seconds to open a Finder window. And I have 8GB RAM.

Hello everyone,

can one of you please help me to solve a problem?

I don't get a notification from apps to grant them certain rights.
"tccutil reset AppleEvents" already run, but without success.

An example: GrandTotal creates an email with Apple Mail, but doesn't do it because the authorization is missing.

On my MacBook with 13.3.1 without OCLP it works without any problems.

I have no idea what could be the reason.
Thanx for your great Support
Hello, I have the same problem, I don't know how to solve it. Did you manage to solve this problem?

Thank you, but I'm not such a professional, of course I'll try to figure it out.
The zip file will unfold to give you a folder with two files - tccplus wrapper.app, and tccplus wrapper.applescript. Run the wrapper.app and it will give ask which application (e.g. whatsapp) to add privileges to, and then a second screen that asks to choose which privilege - e.g. microphone or camera; but ONE at a time if, for example, you want to add both.

Current versions of OpenCore do work with Ventura on the 2012 MBP, and there’s no perceptible lag, aside from the computer just being not very fast in general. Wi-Fi/Trackpad/Keyboard/Thunderbolt all work, and I believe Bluetooth does as well.
You really won’t want to use it with 4GB of RAM though.

@Javierusky

To solve the issue open OCLP: Settings > Misc Settings > Feature Unlock Status > Disabled

Remember to uncheck "Show Boot Picker" (unless you use this) then rebuild and install OpenCore.

Hi iMac 27", Mid 2015 here.
Ran OCLP on a 13.3.1 system that had the Preview issues when loading images. That is fixed !
The OCLP team rocks !

And please, the very clever people on the team, find a way to get donations so our feeble brains that cannot contribute otherwise can help you at least buy older hardware to test stuff, or to buy software licences for the team. (You could have an open budget, letting us know where the money goes and such...)

Thank you !

How does one upgrade OpenCore 0.9.1 to 0.9.2.
I can download all the files but have no idea how to extract and insert into the existing 0.9.1 installation.
Thanks
EDIT: I am providing the instructions below, but keep in mind that you will most likely upgrade to the latest OC release when you generate a new EFI with a new release of OCLP.

====================================================

I don't use OpenCore "configurators," so I will provide you with the manual approach. Others will use a tool like OCAT to perform the OC 0.9.1 -> 0C 0.9.2 upgrade. Even if you end up using a configurator like OCAT, it's good to know what is happening behind the scenes.

Manually upgrading from OC 0.9.1 -> OC 0.9.2
  1. Download OpenCore and the new Acidanthera kexts from Acidanthera's github.
  2. Copy your current EFI to a new location where you can edit the folder/file contents
  3. Update the following files by copying them from the OpenCore package (folder X64/EFI) and kexts that you downloaded.
    1. Update EFI/BOOT/BOOTx64.efi
    2. Update EFI/OC/Drivers/*.*
    3. Update EFI/OC/OpenCore.efi
    4. Update EFI/OC/Tools/*.*
    5. Upgrade EFI/OC/Kexts (these kexts will depend on your SMBIOS model)
      1. RestrictEvents.kext 1.1.1 [DEV] -> 1.1.1 [REL]
      2. BlueToolFixup.kext 2.6.5 -> 2.6.6
      3. Lilu.kext 1.6.4 -> 1.6.5
      4. AppleALC.kext 1.8.1 -> 1.8.2
    6. Revise EFI/OC/config.plist
      1. Add Kernel > Quirks > DisableIoMapperMapping (Bool, False)
      2. Add UEFI > Output > InitialMode (String, Auto)
  4. Verify revised config.plist using ocvalidate (located in the Utilities folder in the OpenCore package you downloaded). You can ignore the warning "Misc->BlessOverride: \EFI\Microsoft\Boot\bootmgfw.efi is redundant!"
  5. Test your new EFI by copying it to a bootable USB flash drive and booting from the flash drive
  6. After testing your new EFI, replace your production EFI with the new EFI

Can someone please help. I'm using the newest OpenCore Legacy Patcher to update a Late-2013 iMac to Ventura. The install went perfectly, but I'm getting a fail on the post-install root patch with the following error:

- Unable to build new kernel cache

Reason for Patch Failure (71):
No variant specified, falling back to release
No variant specified, falling back to release
Error Domain=KMErrorDomain Code=71 "Unable to resolve dependencies: 'com.symantec.kext.ndcengine' names a dependency on 'com.symantec.kect.internetSecurity', which was not found."

Please help, thanks so much.

After you confirm that your OCLP post-install patches are properly applied, there are a few macOS settings that you may be able to change to improve macOS performance on underpowered CPUs/GPUs.
  • Minimize Spotlight Indexing
    • System Settings > Siri and Spotlight > Uncheck Search Results
    • System Settings > Siri and Spotlight > Spotlight Privacy > Add Volumes/Folders
  • WARNING: Reduce Transparency did not work for me in Big Sur (it breaks Finder). Do not apply Reduce Transparency without having a way to undo this setting.
    • Reduce graphics processing
      • System Settings > Accessibility > Display > Reduce Motion
      • *** Apply this setting with Caution and have a way to reverse this if necessary. I booted another instance of macOS and edited the plist referenced below to undo this after "Reduce Transparency" caused problems in Big Sur. *** System Settings > Accessibility > Display > Reduce Transparency
Experiment with these settings to see if they help you. Note that after you install macOS, there are OS optimizations that are performed after the initial installation / upgrade. After waiting for these optimizations to complete, you may find that your Mac's performance improves.

EDIT: If the display settings cause problems, you will find them in the file Users/<user>/Library/Preferences/com.apple.universalaccess.plist:
  • reduceMotion
  • reduceTransparency
The reduceMotion and reduceTransparency settings may only appear in com.apple.universalaccess.plist after they are configured in System Preferences / System Settings. When "Reduce Transparency" caused problems for me in Big Sur, I recovered by booting another macOS instance and editing Big Sur's Users<user>/Library/Preferences/com.apple.universalaccess.plist to disable reduceTransparency.

Thank you!!! Everything turned out, as a mini solution to the problem will do.
