Hello.

I have strange values when I measure the disk speed with "blackmagic disk speed test".

I have this system.

- Mac pro late 2013
- Xeon processor with 6 cores
- Dual AMD Firepro D500
- 16 GB of RAM

This computer came to me without an SSD, so with an adapter i installed a KINGSTON SNV2S2000G on it.

When I made a test of the disk speed, i notice that:

- Reading speed is up and down. Suddenly he starts writing and then it's like he stops. The average speed is now 116 MB/Sec, although I have had much worse readings (40 MB/Sec).
- The read speed seems OK (1345MB/Sec without jumps).

I think that it must be cause by anything related with opencore legacy patcher, because i have windows installed in this disk too and i didn't notice speeds problems in windows (I wil search any program similar for windows to make the test).

¿Anybody know any problem with the disk speed in this model?

Thanks.
Ok. I made the same test in the same machine but in windows with Novabench. I have the following data:

- Sequential read: 1395 MB/Sec
- Sequential Write: 1502 Mb/Sec
- Random read: 76 MB/Sec.
- Ramdom Write: 32 MB/Sec.

The system in mac os is clean (installed two days ago). It seems that the problem is in opencore legacy patcher, isn't it? Anybody know a driver or some patch or workaround to solve this trouble?

I couldn't use a Kingston SATA SSD in my dMBP6,2. it proved to cause macOS errors for me. You may want to try another SSD.
Oh, damn!!

I put in the mac a original apple disk (With ventura with opencore legacy patcher) and i have speeds of 700 MB/Sec of write and read.

Is there any workaround to solve the trouble o i have to buy another drive? The fail is only in Mac OS (In windows it works very well).

I only experienced the problem with macOS. I actually founds SSDs that works in High Sierra, but have problems in Ventura (and vice versa). The same drives work perfectly in Windows (installed on the same machine). I don't know how to explain it, but the solution that worked for me was to experiment with different SSDs.

And as a general reminder: if you are posting that something is crashing, it is going to be incredibly hard to get to the bottom of it without crash reports.
Is there an official/recommended method for submitting a report. I can reproduce the iWork app crashes with image import easily and could submit a crash report if needed.

On the MBA 7,2 in the profile, I am seeing repeated (3 or 4 times a day) wake from sleep hard crashes requiring a restart with the following output in Console. If I don't allow the MBA to sleep or don't close the top, no problem. I notice that amfi is mentioned in this line:
Boot args: keepsyms=1 debug=0x100 ipc_control_port_options=0 -nokcmismatchpanic amfi=0x80

i currently have an upgraded 2011 21.5 imac with Quadro K2100M card installed. Everything was good until i upgraded to ventura. Photo booth does not work. The only work around is if i open face time then photo booth will work. is there fix for this?

Question. What version of OCLP are you using?

I have exact same problem with 2011 27" iMac with same metal upgrade card and Zoom. Black screen on Zoom unless I start FacetTime first. Tried all the fixes (AMFI Pass, and others listed here) but NG.

Noting that some people are having strange storage read/write results, I tested my Samsung SSD T-drives with BlackMagic.
Results were disappointing, less than 100 Mb/s read and write on the T7, and couldn't test the T5. Blackmagic and Disk Utility both froze when trying to access the T5.
Testing under Monterey I got 200 Mb/s on the T7 and still couldn't test the T5.
Obviously there was some problem with the T5, but because I couldn't access it with Disk Utility, or via diskutil on the command line, I booted in to Linux and re-formatted it with gparted. Tested again, and it was reading and writing at 400 Mb/s.

I then re-installed Ventura 13.4 from scratch via OCLP 0.6.6 and tested again with Blackmagic. It was back up to 350~400 MB/s, read/write.

In general, I have found that I get the most reliable results with the Samsung T-series drives. However in this case, it appears I had some sort of corruption. Having started from scratch, all is now working at full speed.

Dear community,
I use an OpenCore patched MacBook Pro mid 2012 with an Intel Core i7. For one year, everything worked pretty well running it on Ventura with OpenCore patcher. Now, I’ve updated it to a newer Ventura update and that worked as well. After launching, I’ve ran the post install root patch, so that the graphics would adapt. After rebooting, the Mac is stuck. Do you have any ideas how to troubleshoot or proceed?
Thanks for your advices!

same here with a K3100M card on a 2011 27" iMac.

Ok, solved the problem. Start your Mac in Safe Mode (Hold Shift while starting). Delete the previous root patch. Reboot your Mac, rebuild OpenCore patcher. Build new roots.

I seem to have encountered a problem with my, up till Ventura 13.3 perfectly working iMac (2011) with OCLP. Since the update to 13.4 and OCLP 0.6.6, the machine hangs right after login. The mouse keeps working, the dock is responsive, but the upper menu bar never appears and I can't start any application.

I have tried reverting to OCLP 0.6.5 but the results are the same.

For now, I'm reverting back to Windows 11 on this old Mac, but it would be nice to get Ventura up and running again.

Hello, I installed OC 0.6.7 and updated from 12.6.6 to 13.4 and the old widgets problems continue, getting all white with no information. issue that even occurs with third-party apps like Todoist and Calendars.

I performed some procedures such as ending the notification center through the terminal, without success. I use MBP mid 2012, any other solutions? because I think to downgrade again to Monterey.

Hi guys ! I think I've tried many option and I guess non worked or perhaps I might have missed out something . What's a proper way to downgrade from Venture 13.4 to the latest Monterey ? And if so do I do it via OCLP creating an installer or just download the Monterey dmg to create a bootable USB stick ? Thanks in advance

Can your computer run natively on Monterrey without OCLP?

Here's a good place to start:

This is exactly the first question. I downgraded from 13.4 to 12.6.6 using OC 0.6.7 which was already on the system. Basically I asked to download the image, then I selected the pendrive and at the end the program itself suggests applying EFI to the unit. At the end of formatting, I didn't even need to run the post-install, everything was already working.

Has anyone updated from 13.2.1 to the latest 13.4 with 0.6.7n successfully on a iMac 14.2 Late 2013 and running VMWare and Jump Desktop without issues ?

I have same iMac14,2 (CPU i7 24GB + GTX780M 4GB and Crucial SSD 2TB instead of Fusion Drive with mechanical HD).
I've read that Apps what you mention works with the latest builds of OCLP and even better using AMFIPass.
However I'm back and I'm deliberately stuck at Ventura 13.2.1 as it is been absolutely free of bugs and issues with our iMacs14,2 from months.
In my iMac, I also activate "Live Text" and "Remove Background" with the trick that I explained in previous posts, illustrating it.
So with Ventura 13.2.1 everything works fine and by OCLP 0.6.7 Nightly and AMFI ENABLED and/or with AMFIPass Beta 2 finally also “Continuity Camera” works with my iPhone XS.
Since Ventura 13.3, in fact, there is always something that doesn't work and that you discover late. By now many, for example, are realizing that AppleTV+ has problems if you try some new Series...
So why should I have a defective Mac if with macOS 13.2.1 I have an Intel Mac equal to those of 2021?…(Hardware power aside) Maybe for safety?...
The many users who are now stuck in Catalina or High Sierra are worse off, but they're happy and Apple is too, considering that it stopped providing assistance some time ago...

I have updated from 13.2.1 to the latest 13.4 with 0.6.6 successfully on a iMac 14.2 Late 2013 and running Parallels without problems. I imagine that VMware is similar....

Running Parallels was without any issues. Not so VMWare. I can't get it to create a VM of Windows 11. MBP11,4/14,3
