No, OCLP will automatically turn it off if you are eligible to use AMFIPass.
Yes, because you are now building an EFI for another machine, not the host. AMFI cannot be enabled for that target model (if there are root patches required) for backwards compatibility issues: the patcher doesn't know if your other machine has old root patches. Enabling AMFI with old root patches will break boot.Strange. I, too, have a hack. When I select my SMBIOS model on the Settings screen (don't leave as "Host Model")

The button is no longer gray for me

There is no special behavior with the button being disabled, this has been standard for months. You cannot build an EFI for a natively supported host without enabling the appropriate setting to do so. Nor can you build an EFI for the host on a hackintosh, because we don't support hackintoshes.Going with the readme first point on the beta test
•You must be building OpenCore on the host (so you cannot be building the EFI for another device)
So it may be disabled when picking yourself on purpose for the test being in beta creating to many issues or at least that’s how I read it as OCLP will automatically pick for you.
Great work, VMWare Fusion now works!Proud to announce the AMFIPass public beta test. Please see this link for important information.
Have you tried the AMFIPass beta?Today’s Compressor 4.6.4 update for some reason thinks it’s running in a VM (never happened before; while the other pro video apps Mac App Store updates work without problems, as usual): this unusual error message now appears after launching it…
Yes, I’m running the current AMFIPass beta…Have you tried the AMFIPass beta?
13.2.1 doesˋt need Amfipass.Same for me. iMac17,1, Ventura 13.2.1, after building new EFI with AMFIPass b2, reboot, Root Patching, following error… any ideas? Anyway, thanks a lot to the devs. Phantastic work.
Update:In some hack's the smbios is displayed correctly. In others is the name of motherboard or OEM name.
In my Probook 4540s, Ventura 13.5, patch rooted, AMFI and Library Validation are enabled! Thanx a lot, dev's! I'll report about other 3 legacy MBP and a few legacy hack's.
Ahh, ok… so how can I revert now? Even with OCLP 0.6.3 I am not able to root patch my system successfully again. first I built new EFI with 0.6.3, rebooted, tried to root patch with 0.6.3, but same error?13.2.1 doesˋt need Amfipass.
My bad! MBP8,2 works.
Apple TV+ and Pages crashing with image imports was known issue before AMFIPass.iMAC 13,2 Ventura 13.5 beta1 and OCLP 0.6.7n AMFI-pass
Installed OCLP 0.6.7n (AMFI-pass) on Ventura partition. I checked the build for the first install under "settings -> security", and "disable AMFI" was checked (i.e., AMFI was inactivated, as expected for 1st install). Rebooted to Ventura and installed "root patches" (as instructed). Rebooted again to Ventura and reinstalled OCLP AMFI-pass second time; when I checked the second OCLP install, under "settings-> security", "disable AMFI" was unchecked (i.e, AMFI enabled). Rebooted onto desktop without issues. However, Apple TV still fails to play new content, and Pages crash when PDF is drugged into the document. Not sure if this is relevant to the 13.5 beta1, but I noted that other posters have reported problems with Apple TV and Pages after installing OCLP AMFI-pass on Ventura 13.4 OS (see posts 5852 and 5853)
Notwithstanding, impressive work by all the developers.
Hope this report may be of help
That is correct, however, other posts seem to imply that the newest OCLP Amfi-pass and patches restored those functions, (among others) on their systems. It may have been coincidental. On the iMac 13,2 both issues are peculiar to Ventura.Apple TV+ and Pages crashing with image imports was known issue before AMFIPass.
I'm using a 2012 mac pro and have no issues with the apple apps. hmmm maybe a imac video issueGreat work, VMWare Fusion now works!
Running stable on MacBookPro9,1 + 13.4 + 0.6.7
Only issue still present is dragging an image onto Pages/Numbers/Keynotes crashes the app.
Why is not turn Off on my macbook Pro late 2013, I have to turn Off and Stuck at this point at rebootNo, OCLP will automatically turn it off if you are eligible to use AMFIPass.
Thank you for explaining. I understand completely and don't blame OCLP developers for not supporting hackintoshes.Yes, because you are now building an EFI for another machine, not the host. AMFI cannot be enabled for that target model (if there are root patches required) for backwards compatibility issues: the patcher doesn't know if your other machine has old root patches. Enabling AMFI with old root patches will break boot.
