I don't like how you just click and it does that, how do I turn off?So simple yet so useful!

Really? I haven't seen anything, its pretty smooth on my endFirst macOS Version in years that actually appeals to Gen-Z!
However, it is super laggy and terrible currently.
How is the Music app? Does it feel any better? Also wondering... do you use an external audio DAC by chance?View attachment 2213224
Check on the front page of MacRumours, I think if notifications are not enabled, it shows a prompt to enable them there. And I guess in the Safari preferences you can check if they have been blocked by mistake.

I skipped OS 13; is that "tall" menu bar new or was it like that before?
Yeah I am a loser and I only have M1 (jk,, not a loser)...Really? I haven't seen anything, its pretty smooth on my end
Then again maybe I am running a M2 Pro chip so maybe that's helping
Looks like you can turn it off in Settings - though it’s only an option to have it always on or only on when you’re in stage managerI don't like how you just click and it does that, how do I turn off?
I think the taller Menu Bar is only for the MBAs and MBPs with the notch. I assume on non-notch Macs the Menu Bar height is the same as it used to be, but I don’t have one to check for sure.I skipped OS 13; is that "tall" menu bar new or was it like that before?

The tall menu bar is because the person has a notch on their MacBook. Once you get a MacBook with a notch, you will get the tall menu bar, but at least you get more screen real-estate.I skipped OS 13; is that "tall" menu bar new or was it like that before?
Seems to be working for me.Continuity camera doesn't work.
Please add it to the list and tell us how to reproduce it.Kind of insane that video preview background bug still has not been fixed, that's 3 versions of macOS now.
Yeah, I really like it, just wish it animated when you pressed Command + Space. The Spotlight's interface is a bit more rounded than before.
They only move when on the Lock Screen, however if enough people give Feedback, maybe we can get a dreamscenes like feature on macOS! (Please Apple)I kinda don't understand how these Aerial wallpapers are supposed to work. I can get them to move when I lock my Mac, but they don't move when I'm on the desktop. That's kinda what I expected, and that's what I used to do when I was 13, back in the macOS Sierra days. I used to set a fan-made Aerial screen saver as a desktop wallpaper with a terminal command.
This is... SO MUCH BETTER!Feature flags have moved from a giant list in the Develop menu to a tab in Settings
The only thing is that I don't think you can make custom ones, but yeah, I would be down for Apple replacing screensavers with this as long as you could have the Lock Screen show for a while.New wallpapers, but no new screensavers. 👀 I guess with the new functionality the screensaver and the wallpaper is combined into one – if so, they should get rid of the Screensaver section...
... Nope lol. We got far away from Monterey performance, this is the worst beta I have used on this machine. Please just tell me the performance and stability from Monterey back
Interesting. It sounds like Aerial then still has an advantage over Sonoma, since the Aerial Companion app allows you to set an animated desktop wallpaper (separate from the screen saver).I kinda don't understand how these Aerial wallpapers are supposed to work. I can get them to move when I lock my Mac, but they don't move when I'm on the desktop.
Are you using iOS 17 beta 1?Settings > Desktop & Dock > Click Wallpaper to show desktop items, set that to "Only in Stage Manager"

Also wish these are screensavers but tbh, I think it will happen in Beta 10 just like the past 2 years.
This is... SO MUCH BETTER!

This is really bugging me.There's a new behaviour – if you're in an app and click on the desktop – it will focus it and will move the active windows to the side.
There's apparently an option to turn it off. This is really bugging me.
FYI if anyone wants to turn it off, it's in System Settings > Desktop & Dock > Click wallpaper to show desktop items.
No and noDoes it feel any better? Also wondering... do you use an external audio DAC by chance?
Running it on M1 Max and M1 Pro chips and it's pretty smooth here as well. To be honest I don't even notice the difference with the latest Ventura beta.Really? I haven't seen anything, its pretty smooth on my end

Check the release notes; there's a workaround depending on your precise issue.Continuity camera doesn't work.
Not that I've found.Any changes in Mail App?
I just don't understand why Mail never gets much (to just none) love from Apple.Any changes in Mail App?
- QuickTime Player does not record the first couple of seconds when you use a Microphone (FB10086556)
- Workaround: Wait around 5 seconds after seeing the yellow indicator in the Menu Bar, or use a different app for your recording needs
- Issue present since macOS 10.13
