I am having this issue, too. In fact the red that is showing up is so dark, it looks like the screen is blank. Also tried changing the colour options, but that hasn't made any difference.
 
New iMac in December and after 14.4 update all sorts issues happened. Finally, I did Erase All Contents and Settings on Mac OS on my iMac M3. After reboot, I started from scratch since everything is on the cloud. I didn't migrate anything from TM. So far all is good. No more crashing with Mail (keep fingers crossed) and Trackpad is acting almost 100% normal.
