Hello !

I tested Sonoma installation using 0.6.9 nightly build from source, on a MacBookPro14,1

- The wifi is not working
- Bluetooth does.
- Didn't tried facetime.

Does someone know what i did wrong and how to fix it ?

Get again the OCLP Sonoma nightly build, the app you are using now doesn't have all its content.
Don't compile OCLP, it's safer to get it already compiled by developers:

Beta6 with OCLP 0.6.9n is not as snappy as beta 5. Some menu bar icons don't appear until clicked, Apple TV app needed to quit and be relaunched to show + content, App Store needed the same. Some apps have blank frames (1Password) until quit and relaunch. Unlock with Apple Watch not working, worked with beta 5. Will post any other issues that I see but performance and response of this beta is not as good as the previous one.

Strange: my self compiled build is byte by byte the same as the official nightly cause is using the url from the nightly.

When working from source, after downloading a new nightly, I run Build-Binary.command which also loads the required patcher support package. Possibly deleting payloads.dmg and Universal-Binaries.dmg before if something had gone wrong earlier. - OpenCore-Patcher-GUI.command post-install patches always ran fine afterwards.
The only extra thing needed from time to time is to pip requirements.txt, as shown in Source.md, if anything is missing from Python.

Beta 7 using revert patches came in just under 700 mb barely usable after logging in on a choose the previous wallpaper or the new Sonoma one , after getting past that and patching everything seems to be working as good as Beta 6.

Is it posible to get brightness control on a Mac PRO 5,1 with RX570 or RX590? Thanks.

Beta 7 OTA OCLP 069n 8/23 runs as expected. 🥳

Same here on MBP5,2.

post-install patching failed first, missing some files to be patched in. After deleting payloads.dmg, Universal-Binaries.dmg and folder payloads/Universal-Binaries, and re-running Build-Binary.command it proceeded OK. The OCLP sonoma 069n 8/23 was still on disk from b6 installation.
I'm notoriously running OCLP sonoma from source which was useful in early Sonoma days. Running the nightly build is easier.

Hi @trifero
To control brightness with RX580 on cMP5,1 I'm using MonitorControl, allows to use F1 & F2 keyboard keys.
Works perfectly on BigSur, Monterey and Ventura, should also work with Sonoma but I haven't yet found the time to install Sonoma on cMP5.1...

OTA update to 23A5337a done using latest OCLP Sonoma patcher. No issues during update process.
Minor: widgets only show content when system is not patched.

@devs: Thank you for your hard consistent work on this project!

Current version (23A5337a) and prior, has anyone encountered weirdness with apps just going away (no crash or spin logs, nothing in system.log either) and requires hard power off/on to get back to working state? Not sure if I have something nefarious loaded or if this is due to Sonoma stability on my unsupported machine. It always seems to start with Safari but then all open programs or trying to open anything, the programs just disappear. Even Finder goes away and won't restart until I power off/on. I'll be starting on a hunt using various tools to help investigate what all I have loaded (extensions, etc.). MalwareBytes doesn't seem to support Sonoma yet but XProtect has not reported anything as of yet.

Updated to Beta 7 without problem. If could control the brightness with my RX 590 it would be perfect.

Out of curiosity: Did this work running older macOS versions with your current setup (Which versions?)?

The DCC pages is not really conclusive (to me) which connector setup (only dual miniDP, not single miniDP?) supports it fully. At the very end of this page there is a list of several macOS tools to enabled brightness control with displays (and connections) capable to achieve it.

Unfortunately I own only a single (miniDP) connected external display which never supported native brightness control with 2009-2011 iMacs running High Sierra natively or later (OCLP).

Last beta update on iMac 17,1 (custom Fusion drive).
The install process is super slow, first login before patching is completely unresponsive (mouse & keyboard).
Once logged and patched, it's smooth.
I have noticed one regression with this last beta: video thumbnails in Photos.app are green. The color is OK after displaying it in full window.

I have the same 10,1 rMBP as you and am not seeing that issue at all.
My machine however runs the fans a bit. May I ask if you are seeing that too?
Still early-ish with the betas and power management tends to be fixed later in the beta cycle in my experience.
Ah well.
